Invader Zim Comic Dub
Project Overview
Hello and welcome,
I am a directing student looking to expand my skills. While I currently am in the process of writing and developing my own comic series, I want to do a trial run by directing a voice over dub of my favorite series. With the new movie coming out soon, this will be a great opportunity to celebrate the series. This will be a one-off project using issue #20, but more may come depending on the outcome of this individual project.
Requirements
Must have a quality microphone; no background static, no popping plosives or sibilance.
Audio quality must be up to par. It doesn't need to be professional, but please avoid clipping the audio. Also, be sure to include only the audio takes and remove any extraneous sounds or long periods of silence between takes.
You must be able to shout/project; these are not quiet characters. Perfect impressions are not necessary; the ability to capture the personality and energy of the characters will be far more important.
If cast, deadlines will be relatively strict (although I'll make exceptions where needed). Please be prompt and contact me if issues arise.
Email is also necessary as that is how lines and direction will be exchanged.
Other notes
All characters in the comic that are not listed in the casting call will be taken care of by myself.
Scripts and all necessary materials will be provided to the selected cast.
My goal is to have this project completed by springtime.
As mentioned above, this is for issue #20. It's a one-off project, but depending on the outcome and interest of the cast, more may come later.

It'd just help suspending my disbelief knowing what these hairy balloon monsters are supposed to be is all.
They whaaaaaat? Even after the show had gone down in quality as much as it did, they still made a whole other show?
A creature created in Zim's lab that's all about destruction. The only problem is, he's sadly forgotten about.
I'm so happy I could help rebuild your world everyone, I've had a lot of time to think about, well, life and everything, and I feel so just terrible for being so focused on destruction and-

The kid that recaps the last issue at the beginning. Loud and extremely hyperactive. Has one long monologue right at the beginning.
Hey! Do you watch TV? Yeah! I answered for you because YEAH YOU DO!

Two cartoon characters on a never-ending show. Relatively minor characters hence why they're paired together for the audition. There's a potential of a double cast depending on the audition.

The trusty computer companion. The small character with few lines. Don't be concerned with vocal effects as I'll be able to handle them. If you wish, you may provide effects to demonstrate how your voice will sound with editing AS LONG AS the raw audio is also provided.
Simulation complete. There is a one hundred percent chance of victory.
