Interrogations: An Audio Drama Project

Victoria Everett is the most popular girl at Vertali University, and for good reason: She's as gorgeous as she is confident, and (mostly) everyone either knows her, wants to know her, or wants to be her. She is the ex-girlfriend of Scott Williams, and one of the main suspects in his murder, due to their rocky breakup and the events that followed afterwards.

Victoria has a very "loud" personality. She's very expressive with everything she says, on the edge of being "dramatic". She yells a lot, especially when angry. She does not take well to being insulted; she's a good example of being able to "dish it", but not "take it".

Some notes about Victoria:

- She is 23 years of age.

- She has 68 lines in this scene, the most of any character.

- She dislikes all of the other girls, but she especially hates Julienne, due to their troubled history regarding Scott. She has a hint of disgust in her voice whenever she talks to, about, or even around Julienne, and this needs to come through in her lines.

- Though she is a both a cheerleader and the most popular girl in school, she is not intended to have the stereotypical "valley girl" accent, though if you pull it off well, by all means, make it happen!

- Victoria speaks relatively quickly when she gets excited or upset.

Julienne Delacroix is the captain of the chess team at Vertali. Often described as the "Queen of Queens," due to being both attractive and into chess, Julienne has built a reputation for herself at Vertali that she is neither proud of nor disappointed by. Seemingly indifferent about almost everything non-related to chess, Julienne is the closest you'll get to someone who truly "does not give a shit". That said, she can get very passionate about things she cares about, which tends to cause her to break her normally nonchalant demeanor.

Some notes about Julienne:

- She is 21 years old.

- She has 44 lines in this scene.

- She is intended to have a French accent, though it is not required. 

- She speaks rather calmly and articulately in most situations.

- She hates Victoria, and this should be evident in her lines, especially when she (regretfully, she might add) agrees with anything Victoria says.

Alexandria Wolfe is an example of a woman using the ideology of feminism to promote female superiority. Not concerned with the issues (or the lives) of men, Alexandria believes that men are a cancer the world needs to be free of, and will happily admit that she believes women deserve to "rise to power" and take over the world. She will openly admit to hating all men, and will defend other women who align with her beliefs to the ends of the earth, no matter how right or wrong they may be in any situation. Interestingly, she hates most women just as much as she hates men; though she would never directly admit it, it is very evident in how harshly she judges other women that do not align with her ideals, such as Victoria.

Some notes about Alexandria:

- She is 20 years old.

- She has 32 lines in this scene.

- She hates both Victoria and Julienne, Victoria for her blatant mockery of feminism, and Julienne for her indifference toward it.

- She is incredibly defiant when speaking to Blake, due to her distaste of how they use their authority. With a male Blake, she accuses them of using the interrogation as a means of a "power trip" to have an excuse to intimidate innocent women, whilst she will accuse a female Blake of wanting to "be a man so badly" that she would accuse four of her "own kind" of murdering Scott.

Briar Young is a freshman at Vertali, and a relative unknown to most of the students there. Having started at Vertali only six months before the events of the story, Briar's only connection to Scott would be his being her orientation guide when she started school. Of the four women accused of Scott's murder, Briar, on paper, is the least likely to be involved, to the point where many wonder why she is even one of the suspects.

Briar is a very soft-spoken and shy woman. She typically does not speak unless spoken to, and often tries to get her thoughts or opinions across in as few words as possible. She gets incredibly nervous incredibly easily, and often has trouble correctly articulating herself. However, when focused, her demeanor changes almost entirely, and she gains a sense of focus and will that would surprise even Victoria.

Some notes about Briar:

- She is 18 years old.

- She has 10 lines in this scene.

- Briar does not know any of the girls well enough to like or dislike them.

- Briar speaks very confidently and eloquently when necessary, though she primarily speaks quietly.

Blake Bauer is an investigator tasked with finding the culprit in Scott's murder. Based on their investigation prior to the events of this scene, Blake has deduced that Victoria, Julienne, Alexandria, and Briar are the most likely to have killed Scott the night of the party.

Blake is a hard, focused individual; they have little desire to waste time, and this comes through with their impatience with the main characters. Blake has a very commanding presence, which normally works in their favor, but with these girls, it might not be enough.

Some notes about Blake:

- Can be male or female, so anyone can audition!

- Blake is 34 years old, and is intended (but not required) to have a deeper voice.

- Speaks in a very direct manner.

As a sort of "extra" role in this project (extra meaning "not necessary" in this case), I'd like to try and find someone who can draw a good representation of the characters, mostly so that there's some artwork to go along with an otherwise visually-absent project. You'd primarily be tasked with drawing the four main characters (Victoria, Briar, Julienne, and Alexandria), and the art would be used as sort of the "cover art" for the project.

You could submit your own drawings, or you could submit a drawing of Victoria. She:

- is Caucasian, and has long, blond, straight hair (down to about the middle of her back), with hazel-green colored eyes.

- is about 5 feet, 4 inches (162 centimeters) tall, and is about 125 pounds (56.7 kilograms).

- is fit (due to her cheerleading), but is not very muscular.

- has long legs.

- prefers tight-fitting clothing, and clothing that shows off her stomach (her favorite feature).
