Short Summary: Ink Stains is a YA/A drama miniseries that follows Victor, a young adult who is drifting away from his former self whilst learning that it is not too late to be happy.
Given the chance to start over in a new place, he faces the difficulties of making friends in his mid-twenties while struggling with his own loneliness and self-doubt, realizing that he isn't the only one suffering from the sorrow of the past.
WARNING: This story will include adult and controversial themes such as depression, emotional abuse, and light sexual themes (NO sex scenes).

Eager, loyal, skittish, observer, loner, spineless, patient. A forlorn person wondering on each new day, whom to blame for the way his life turned out, himself or God. He tried his hardest to make friends, but it never really worked out, and most of his pals were more like acquaintances who would always depart after a short while. He bemoans his lack of communication skills and his overall depressing nature. Apparently, one small bookstore can change one's fate, and with his new friends, he'll undoubtedly discover some things about himself and his own desires.

Wise, fearless, sly, messy, curious, sadistic, impulsive. She's quite the handful for such a small girl. Even with the few words she says, she stands apart, and no one knows what is going on in her thoughts. She's rather well-liked in town, mainly because of her job and the act she needs to put on for it. She has her own problems and traumas from an early age. High school wasn't easy for her as she was rapidly isolated from the rest of the students for no apparent reason, and being a quiet weird kid didn't help much either. In some ways, she feels as if life is mocking her, continually reminding her that she got the short end of the stick.
(Annoyed/Mocking) You're kidding, right?
(Amused/Teasing) So you're not begging God to give you happiness?
(*Soft laugh/giggle* at the beginning; Whispering/Teasing) You're so frail... it's like you're one gigantic stinging scar.

Kind, cheerful, shallow, petty, chatty, dedicated, deceitful. A real literary enthusiast, he submerges himself in a new book or script every day. He grew up with overbearing parents who had extremely high expectations of him from the day he was born; now that he is apart from them, he is seeking to live his life with his own expectations of his work. Seeking inspiration for his debut novel, he discovers Victor to be the ideal muse, though he quickly realizes that he wasn't prepared for such an emotional ride, the more he learns about Victor's thoughts and beliefs, the more he's drawn into his demented world of misery and anger.
(Humored/ *Laugh at the end*) Oh, this is hilarious! .. You seriously have no idea who she is.

Brainy, workaholic, snobbish, secretive, energetic, serious. He had a very typical upbringing, with loving and supporting parents, friends, and popularity; everything a boy could want. Because of his hard work, he had numerous open doors after high school, and he obviously selected the first thing that appeared profitable and possible for him, although having no reasonable objectives or aspirations at the time. Unfortunately, he quickly discovered that he wasn't as talented as everyone said. He and Victor grew up in a little town, practically a gated community, which inflated his ego a little too much. So, of course, his ego suffered once he realized he's only slightly above average. Everything is a battle, and he wonders if it's only for him. Is that possibly going to draw him closer to his brother, whom he had previously dismissed as a 'screw up'?
(Soft/Slightly arrogant) I can’t believe you’re actually up this early.
(Skeptical/Mocking) Yeah... I'm eager to see how long it lasts this time.

Creative, selfish, meddlesome, clear-headed, joyful, resentful. She's one of those folks who peaked in high school. Attended a fashion/art university but recognized before graduation that she wasn't interested in fashion at all and instead focused on art. Everything is going well for her, except for one thing: her art has no meaning.
She lives in the same apartment building as Victor and Marlo, one story below them, knowing them both as they grew up in the same small town. After seeing Victor again, a faint recollection returns to her, a memory she never thought was worth remembering.
(Uncomfortable) It's good to see you.
(Mocking herself) You might argue I failed as an artist, ironic isn’t it?
(On the verge of tears/Upset, but not yelling) Shut up! It's not my fault you're such a fuck up!
