(Video included is how my characters sound in my mind, something similar to the voices is good for your performance but if it's not exactly the same that's okay! When auditioning for a character that I'm looking for a specific race/specific races please also indicate if you are or aren't said race.)

Hybrid High is a storyboarded pilot for a future animated show I'd like to make about a girl struggling to pay bills with her family who's accepted into the prestigious Hybrid High on scholarship. She thinks getting in is the only battle, however, she finds out that was one of many, as she now needs to find acceptance with her peers among other classic school events.

This is unpaid, and young actors and actresses looking to build up their demo reels and resumes are encouraged to apply! This is also short-term, as once the pilot is finished I have no current plans to make more episodes. However, that might change and if so I will ask if anyone would like to continue participating. That is not guaranteed so you aren't required to audition with the intention of staying on the project for multiple years.

Must have discord to communicate with me and other talent. I have plans to try to arrange a table read before I have everyone begin to send their lines in, but we'll see if that is able to happen.

    I have some news :)

    The pilot is out now (it's releasing live so you can't watch the full thing yet but by 5:30 est you can watch the whole thing) I should've announced the release date rather than just spring it on you that it's out that's my bad lmao! Anyway if you wanted to watch... here :)

    As for what's next, Hybrid High is gonna go dormant for a few years. I'm gonna work on other projects while I work on conceptulizing more of this story. I'm not sure if this will be indie animation, i pitch to a big studio, go more animatic style, etc. but I was really pleased with my voice actors' performances and I'd love to have them involved in Hybrid High again in the future. I feel like I'm missing something but that's about all I have to say. Thank you guys for your patience with me working on my first big story project like this and I wish my voice actors all well on your future endeavors!

    The final thing is done! I'm so excited for yall to see it! Official release date is likely going to be April 18th. I haven't uploaded it just yet but I'll try to link asap!

    As for what's next, the plan is to let Hybrid High sit dormant for a few years. I do plan on exploring ideas and concepts but I won't be making another pilot nor episodes anytime soon. When I feel ready though to do more things with this whether it's trying to pitch it to studios, starting an indie youtube show, doing an animatic webshow, etc. I will let you know. I liked my cast so I would definitely consider working with them again <3

  • Been a hot minute

    I keep forgetting this lol. Anyway, thanks if you're still looking for updates. Voice lines are almost done, I've been able to start editing a little bit, and all art and boards have long been finished. I keep pushing back the release date but I think Spring 2025 would be a good time to shoot for!

  • What's Next?

    Okay we have casted everyone yay! Because I'm talking off the platform it might be harder to remember to do updates lol I'll do my best. Props to everyone that's auditioned and extra thank you to everyone who I casted for giving their time and energy to my project!

    So currently I'm trying to put together a table read so I can tell how I want lines to be read but also so we can bond. I was going to do it livestreamed but I'll do it a video instead, I'll post it once it happens and I edit it!

    As for progress with the actual storyboards, I'm through 3/10 scenes with work on the fourth starting today! I was doing a board a day but that was going so slow I decided to do six a day instead and the progress has been much faster! I was hoping to have this out and done by the summer but it's more likely I'll finish this in the autumn, which considering this is a story set in a high school that might be good.

  • Deadline Reached!

    New deadline reached and we have all roles filled! I'll be taking time to cast everyone, I'm on vacation right now so I'm not looking to rush it.

    You'll get a comment from me explaining whether or not you got in.

    If you did get in: congrats! I will either friend you on discord or request your discord, and on there I'll discuss our potential upcoming table read with you.

    I'd you didn't get in: please know I am still very appreciative for your audition! I never expected an indie creator would get 25 auditions from many people, and I'm great ful to everyone who auditioned and was ready to offer their time and energy to my project. I'll be giving all voice actors whether they got in or not a special thanks as well in the pilot!
