Hunt: Showdown's Origin Story
Project Overview
Hello!
My name is HazmatFTW and I am a content creator on YouTube. I mostly deal with lore from video games, especially the game of Hunt: Showdown.

This particular episode, features the original idea for the backstory to the game Hunt: Showdown.
It is inspired by the Zong Massacre in 1781, where an over-crowded slaveship, travelling from the Gold Coast of Africa to the East Coast of America, dumped 130 slaves into the ocean to avoid starvation and dehydration.
Disclaimer: I just have to emphasize that none of this is endorsed by Crytek. I have come to know about this story through conversation with the original development team.
Looking forward to your auditions.

Note: This role will require a significant amount of screaming, anger, and frustration.
The woman is from Ghana, but I am open to any sort of African accent/dialect.
A pregnant slave aboard the ship, crammed in with the rest of the unfortunate souls. She is a soft, religious woman, who hopes to see her husband again some day. However, she will meet her demise as she is thrown overboard after which she drowns. The curse she calls upon the sailors in her final dying breath, will be the source of manifestation that summons the demonic entity that ends of terrorizing New Orleans.

*praying under her breath - terrified* "Nyame, the all-seeing one, hear my cry. Do not abandon me to the waters. Asase Yaa, mother of the earth, hold me in your embrace and protect my soul."
*long tormented scream before moving right into the line* “Curse you!"
*screaming the lines while drowning* May the dark breath of filth, and the fly that bores itself into the heart of the rotten devour you! May the hungry one consume you in the dark! May the corruption eat away your humanity!”
The male slave helps the female slave in their attempt to escape the slaveship. He is the sole reason the female slave survives. He is also the one to encourage the revolt onboard the ship.

The owner of the ship. He has undertaken the journey to the Gold Coast to rid himself of crippling debt through a risky bet on a slave trade. He has few lines, but needs to be stern and resolute in his conviction.
