Hostiles | Pilot Mini-Animatic
Project Overview
Over 100 years ago, a nuclear explosion at an animal experimentation facility mutated a quarter of the world's population over time. People gained horrific body modifications, some turning into anthropomorphic animals, some just becoming feral beasts. These creatures were called Hostiles. The government created R.A.Y.E.T., a robot designed to trick and kill the remaining Hostiles that occupied the explosion site and underground tunnels. After being found defective by his lab, Rayet was given a factory reset and dumped into a landfill near the explosion site. After being rescued, he and his partner, Topaz, risk their lives going above ground to scavenge resources and a way to heal their injuries and return to being human.

Rayet is a very kind, happy-go-lucky, well-meaning, and caring robot. He tries very hard to prove himself trustworthy, and often runs into danger without thinking twice. After his factory reset, he has no memories, nor is he aware of his deadly & killer purpose.

Ow! What did I do?!
You aren’t one for chatter, are you?
I knew you weren’t going to abandon me! Just needed a running start? ...My offer of friendship pulled you in then!
Topaz is a quiet yet crude and snarky person. She enjoys solidarity and doesn't like making new friends. She shows a massive front to everyone, showing off a strong sense of pride, and any form of vulnerability makes her either uncomfortable or angry. After escaping experimentation, her job now is to collect useful material from above ground, as she is one of the only Hostiles that don't get affected by radiation.

No.
...Whatever you want to tell yourself.
Do whatever you want, just stop talking!
One of two mysterious robots that lived in the same quarters as Rayet. Not much to say about them, but they do not like Rayet. She has a more meaner tone compared to her friend.

Eugh. Since when was this guy so heavy?
Whatever it is, good riddance. Yet another smart idea by the corps to get rid of this guy.

I guess this is the closest thing we have to a coma, so it makes sense. Maybe?
Yeah. It was nice of him not to put up a fight.
