Xenon, the Mew of Light, serves as an unconventional mentor figure for the protagonist of the story, sporting a unique, sinister disposition. After the loss of his younger brother, he became a hardened killer who isn't afraid to do what he thinks is necessary to ensure he finds and properly shapes his successor. Despite his wicked, spiteful nature, he is shown to have moments of empathy and concern for his pupils, both past and present. This part will require significant range.
UPDATE: I've decided to create a quick demonstration for the manner in which Xenon speaks. I'm hoping to find someone who can deliver his lines in this general tone, but with a bit more of a deep/mature voice than my own. Here's the link to listen to it: https://youtu.be/wgUyGnnJ20I
"OR ELSE WHAT, BROTHER?"
(The protagonist is frightened into silence.)
"Kekeke! You should see the look on your face! I was just fucking with you! I intend to release your friend from my control anyway~! To be honest, I did try possessing the Buizel for a short time, but... UGH! The moment I did, all I could hear was some shit about curry. She wouldn't shut up! So, I released her from my control. Anyways, let's get to introductions..."

"You believe killing evil people is justified, you're just conditioned to say otherwise! I finally found someone who shares my philosophy! YOU'RE JUST LIKE ME!"

(This next line takes place in the past, during a period where Xenon was a completely different type of person; a kind, compassionate mentor and older brother. It's a different side of Xenon we've never seen until this point.)
"Come on, you did great! Please don't make that face. I don't like seeing you like this."
(His brother tells him he can't do it, and he'll never be as good as him.)
"Enone... you don't have to be like me to be accepted as the Mew of Hope. You've just got to be yourself, and you'll find your own way."
(Enone is pronounced "E-known.")

Tygo the Pikachu is a deceased former-friend of Zander the Riolu. He tragically passed away by unknown means long before the events of the story, so he is only featured through flashbacks and hallucination. He is friendly and inviting, should have a higher-toned voice, and sports a country accent (THIS IS IMPORTANT!). Go all in on the Southern hospitality, with some giddy enthusiasm!

Oxide, the Mew of Darkness and the main antagonist of Hope in Friends, is as despicable as it gets. Whenever he appears, death, trauma and ruin are an inevitability. It isn't known why he seeks to destroy and murder beyond whatever twisted pleasure it gives him. His disposition is like that of a sick god, unamused by the whims and antics of those who stand in his way. He is simply the pinnacle of evil in this universe.
"Your whole life is nothing but an endless nightmare, isn't it, "little bro"? You let everyone down, you know. You let me destroy a whole city and kill thousands of Pokémon. Being the Mew of Hope, I'm sure you heard them begging for help as I snuffed their lives out. Yet, you didn't even bother to show your face, did you? You're a coward, undeserving of the power you hold within your soul! There's only one way you can redeem yourself, and that would be your death!"

"Do I look like I give a shit about your backstory? Why the fuck do Pokémon keep telling me their backstories, as if I'm supposed to be impressed or something? You could be that human or his partner who saved the world, like, 25 years ago, and I still wouldn't be impressed. Oh god, you're so annoying. I just got through washing blood off of my fur, so I'll kill you this way instead."

"I can no longer sense their auras, so they're definitely dead. Thank Arceus for that! You all should have given me this Orb when I had demanded it. I honestly would have spared your annoying friends if you all had simply obeyed me. Oh well, I got what I came for, and that's all that matters at the end of the day. I don't like leaving loose ends, so I'm afraid you'll both have to die today! Such a shame."

Usha is Guild Master of the Guild of Hope and mother to Mio, Mizo, Miafeon and 7 others. Overworked, obsessive and emotionally abusive, she's a complete wreck who is fixated on a vengeful grudge with the story's antagonist. She is often mistrusted with important information because of the despicable lengths she would go for what she believes to be the greater good.
"Hello, welcome to the Guild of Hope. My name is Usha, I'm one of our two Guild Masters. How may I help you?"
(Formal, but extremely exhausted. Try as she may to be enthusiastic, she has said this hundreds of times already and it shows.)

Husband to Usha, and the latter of two Guild Masters at the Guild of Hope, Deaven is just as overworked and exhausted as his wife, but a much kinder and more enthusiastic person overall. There is also a lengthy flashback depicting him as a young, energetic teen, so this part requires a bit of range.
"So you're the human? Excuse me for a moment!"
(He gets a bit too up close and personal with the protagonist, quite literally touching his face.)
"...Hmm, fascinating! The transformation is outstanding! Tell me, did your teeth change too, or-"
(Said protagonist loudly exclaims for Deaven to "get his paws off his face" in a fit of panic.)
"S-Sorry about that! It's been like, over 20 years since the last time I met a human. I got a bit excited, that's all."

(His wife is unreasonably angry that he never told her he'd met a human before.)
"W-Well, you never asked, so-"
(Said wife explodes at him out of rage and demands him to elaborate. It's clear that this is what their relationship looks like.)

Daughter of Usha and sister to Mio and 8 others, Mizo is a patient, empathetic doctor who is often the voice of reason against her obsessed mother. She is one of the few guild members kind enough to sympathize with our protagonists and their struggles. She is extremely intelligent, and often works behind her mother's back.
"Sis is right, what are you doing out of bed? We agreed that I would take over for you until you recover. Please return to your room. I'll handle this."
(Her mother insists on working despite a lack of sleep.)

Former friend to one of the lead characters, Lucky is someone who realized long ago that a life of adventure is too dangerous and unpredictable for him after experiencing a sudden and tragic loss. This put him at odds with said character, who vowed to go on in spite of it all. This led to a painful falling-out between the two Pokémon of which its effects still linger. Lucky likely has a mellow, somber tone to his voice, but with a resonance of frustration beneath the surface with his colleague who refuses to listen to his pleas.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! YOU'RE GOING TO GET US KILLED!"
[Chapter 3, Page 31]
"Well... I no longer want to be an explorer. I want to settle down, get a safer job. Maybe even start a family. And... most importantly, I want you to quit with me. Think about it, we can buy a nice house! We can get normal, safe jobs. I can cook, and you can play the piano at the restaurant!"
(Izzy refutes this, assuming their recent tragedy still has Lucky shaken up.)
"It's not just Oxide. I've always been scared, Izzy. Scared of not waking up the next morning when I sleep in the forest or a cave. Scared of every battle we've had. I'm not brave like you."

"Do you really have to throw your life away? You could die, just like them! I'm so sick of you thinking you know what's best, running away like that, as if you're better than everyone else. You never listen to anyone who's just trying to help you! You act like you're wise, but you're not wise, you're reckless. One of two deceased friends of a lead character, shown briefly in a flashback before being swiftly executed by the story's main antagonist. From what we see of Fleck, he seems to be cocky, courageous and ready to fight, something which could be argued led to a pointless demise.
"You think I'm just going to give it to you? Dude, I'm the son of Reinaldo the Mienshao! He took down Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres singlehandedly, and I'm his first and only disciple! I even have his old rescue badge to prove it, see? So unless you want your ass handed to you, I suggest you piss off before you make me mad!"

"PLEASE! I'M SO SCARED! SOMEONE! ANYONE!"
(The main character can mysteriously hear Elidi through the darkness.)
