As we wrap up production on Mekakucity Actors and, Dubs and Flubs is pursuing another fandub project. This time, we are dubbing the Honeyworks movie “I’ve Always Liked You!” This movie is about a group of high school students coming to terms with their feelings and working up the courage to confess their love to the one they cherish.
Rules
Please have a decent quality mic and quiet recording space.
Please be able to keep up with due dates or keep in contact with the D&F team to figure out a submission plan.
Discord is a must! We do all of our primary communication over discord in our work server.
You must be 18 years old or older to be a part of this project. Nobody under the age of 18 will be permitted to work with D&F.

Natsuki is energetic, passionate, and loud. She’s very active and has a tomboyish personality. She’s very empathetic, but can also be incredibly oblivious. Natsuki is overall a very kindhearted and strong headed character.
(Shy/Anxious/Honest) “This is so sudden… a-and I’m sorry… but… I’ve always liked you! I just didn’t know how to tell you…”
(Nervous, but frustrated) “But the thought of confessing makes me really nervous. My heart starts beating so hard and I can’t say the words that are in my head… It’s because I grew up with him! *Sigh* I need a few more practice rounds to actually get it right.”
(Bursting with excitement) “Yeah! I’m going to the HoneyWorks concert with Koyuki! I’ve wanted to go since it was announced and I finally got a ticket! I got all dressed up and everything!”

Akari is seen as beautiful and gentle with a positive outlook. She naturally takes on the motherly personality over her friends and is always ready to comfort them. She does not understand what love means or feels like.
(Defeated) “*Sigh* I just wish there were textbooks and reference books for relationships… It’s all so complicated and I’m so unsure…”
(Unsure/Nervous) “Making a bento every day would be a bit of a pain, so I’d rather not… Oh, I know! A new cake shop has opened near the station. Would you like to go with me sometime?”
(Disappointed, but hopeful) “I see… You went for it, but changed your mind at the last minute. It’s okay though, Natsuki! Let’s just rethink your confession strategy! What should you do now?”
Akari is seen as beautiful and gentle with a positive outlook. She naturally takes on the motherly personality over her friends and is always ready to comfort them. She does not understand what love means or feels like.

(Upset, but holding it together) “*Sigh* How do I know if we’re dating or not? I feel like we could be, but he’s holding something back… Do I need to be the one to confess?”
(Mildly confused) “Is a confession something you really need to rehearse? I’ve really never heard of anyone doing that before. It should come naturally to you.”

Yuu is a very calm, cool, and collected guy. He’s light spoken, and rarely raises his voice, but is able to when the situation calls for it. He is more energetic around his friends, but never truly puts his emotions out there for others to see.
(Slightly annoyed) “What’re you doing in my room? You didn’t tell me you were going to be coming today. Are you sure it’s okay to be in a guy’s room this late?”
(Calm, but seething with rage) “Ayase, don’t you know you shouldn’t behave like that in public? This is a public place where our neighbors pass by. It would cause a lot of trouble for Natsuki if she was seen like that. So, if you’re going to pretend to be her boyfriend, at least be more considerate of her.”
(Saddened) “I’ll go along with it until she confesses for real. Then I’ll be supportive like I promised. I’m not going to tell her. I already know she likes someone else. I don’t need to start any trouble.”

Souta is a relatively nice person. He has been possessive and insecure though which causes him internal distress over his feelings about his crush. He is heavily conflicted between his own thoughts regarding wanting to be with his crush and wanting her to be happy.
(Mentally preparing) “I just have to say it out loud. Just say, good morning, Akari!- Ah! She really looks like an angel today!”
(Over Exaggerated Frustration) “Her type’s whoever she falls for… She couldn’t be more vague if she tried! But who does she like?! Whoever it is, I just need him to be into someone else! AHHH! That’s not what I want either though! She deserves to be happy!”
(Sad/quiet) “But even though I don’t have the guts to tell her how I feel, I still think about her and don’t know what to do. I get so jealous so easily. I really don’t like myself for it.”
