Only Eight Roles Left!
Hi everyone! :D
All I have to say is WOW! To be honest, when I posted this casting call a month ago, I didn't expect for it to get the attention it has gotten! Thank you guys so much for your encouragement and enthusiam for this project! I'm super excited to get this show on the road! I am very happy to meet and have all the talented people who have been casted already, and I love you all! <3 This will be a blast!
For this [the first] casting call, there are only eight roles out of the total nineteen left. The open roles are:
- Indigo: Arista's late biological mother. Mainly appears in dreams and - somewhat spoiler - a flashback episode that will come later on. She's very supportive and loving, willing guide Arista to M'Jaal in any way she can. Very important that she gets casted ASAP. She's very important to the plot. The only warning I can give with his character is that more than likely I will have to send her script for the entire series due to file issues and space restraints. Hoepfullly I'll get it resolved, I'm learning to use Audicity to make sound editing easier.
- Lachlan: The emperor of the country, the biological father of Arista, having her with Indigo during his affair with her, but also has two other daughters, Qi and Raziel, with empress Ute. Also a very important character, he's Arista's main driving force to get to M'Jaal, and he spends a large amount of time trying to rule Mirus while fighting his own demons and putting up with current family issues. Ever since he was informed of Indigo's death and the disappearance of his illegitimate firstborn, he's always had that hope that the child he bore with Indigo was still alive. Also needs to be casted ASAP.
- Ute: The empress of the country, the wife of Lachlan and the mother of Qi and Raziel. Hoooo, boy; even as her creator I hate this bitch. She's not exactly a villian, but she's way far from a saint. She plays favorites with her children, adoring and loving Qi while she's abusive and aloof towards Raziel. While her role has empress is pretty much her whole life, she's very clingy to Lachlan [not very surprising because of his affair with Indigo, she she really overdoes it] and "vanity" is her middle name behind closed doors. She likes to take charge of everything, and to be honest, she's pretty emotionally unstable, and that trait progesses. Let's just say she'll be very fun to play as and cast! xD
- Kit: One of the M'Jaal guard trainees of Sector 7 and Griffith's twin sister. Very sweet and friendly, and Raziel's love interest to whom she returns feelings. She becomes fast friends with Arista and Ephraim as they associate themselves in the training program, helping them adjust to life in the empire. Her backstory is that she and her brother enrolled to be trained at a rather young age [15, to be exact; she's 17 when she makes her debut] and one day there was an invasion on royal grounds that called for everyone in the fighting forces to take part in. Kit fought fiercely for someone her age, but ended up with a terrible wound to her arm that eventually became afflicted with gangrene, leading to the the arm's amputation in order to save her life. Despite missing a limb, Kit is determined to be the best soldier she can be and live her life to the fullest! :D
- Griffith: Kit's twin brother and a Sector 7 trainee. A huge goofball and quite the lovable lug, Griffith is always cracking jokes about something or someone, and many argue that he'd make a better jester than he ever would a guard or a soldier. Don't take Griff's silly antics as him being incapable or immature, though; he's determined to be as good as a soldier as his father is. Like Kit, he's got his heart in the right place and makes friends easily thanks to his perky attitude and sense of humor.
- Jubilee: The oldest of the Sector 7 trainees and the closest to reciving her soldier status. Poor Jubilee has lived a hard life: she spent her childhood with an abusive father and had to go without her mother [who ran off when Jubi was a toddler to escape her abusive husband; I'd like to think she left for another man and was too afraid of her ex-husband to go back for her daughter], and she lost her romantic partner in the same battle that took Kit's arm. Jubilee is very stressed out and rather agressive, but deep inside, she's very damaged and sad. She is admired for her skills in battle and her ability to think through techniques quickly, but is often feared for her temper. She'll be a very interesting character to play. ;)
- Oracle: The quiet one of Sector 7. They are soft spoken yet kind and considerate. Not really much is known about them aside that they decided to join the training program after the death of their mother. Despite coming across as shy and rather peaceful, they become better at fighting as days go by. Agender, can be voiced by either a male or female.
- Ignacia: The main mentor of Sector 7. She acts as both a teacher and a mother to her apprentices, as her ability to be stern and kind at the same time go hand in hand. As a younger soldier, she was often mocked for her weight, but she proved her harassers wrong after she stood up for a pedestrian in a bar brawl, earning their respect.
Please send in auditions whenever you can! :D Remember, there's also another casting call for HE for supporting characters seen in eisodes 1-4, so also check there! Also, I will double cast as well! Thanks guys! <3
