Arista's biological mother who died protecting her from guards. She appears mainly in spirit form in Arista's visions, and she gets her own flashback episode. Very important character and another driving force. She needs a clear, strong voice.

  • [frantic and hostile] Please, just stay away!

  • No, I...[sighs, sadly] I had to leave my village. My parents passed away recently and my people are in a time of turmoil amongst themselves. P-Please forgive me for being so foolish, drinking unsafe water. I know that Lamias aren't welcome in the empire, so once I'm able, I'll be on my way.

  • [uneasy] I don't understand, Oydis. Why have we waited? Arista has been nothing but adaptable to the conditions she has been under, and now we send the signs? She's my daughter, I know that, the best of anyone, but that makes her part Lamia. The risks are abundant, what shall happen if word gets out?
