Holes in the Lyrics (HitL)
INTRODUCTION
Hello, everyone! This casting call is for our show called "Holes in the Lyrics" Crystal Studios is releasing this tv show series on youtube as our first ever series! Holes in the Lyrics is a story about a group of idols training to debut. Their label is one of the best in the world and they are already highly awaited by the media. The girls must navigate their way around the media, and their company’s dark secrets. There must be a reason why no one is able to contact the idols who used to be signed to YNL entertainment.. and the trainees are trying to figure that out, even if it puts their careers- and even lives at stake. We're casting for all main characters and staff members in the label for this show! Those cast for main roles will be asked to provide lines through our discord staff server. This will be sent to you if you are cast. If you're not cast for a main role, but we see you as a possibility of a voice in the show, you will be messaged and asked to voice the character when they come out! You may also be cast as a background character!
Our main concern is casting roles in English, however there will also be a Japanese dub of the show. Voice actors may have to curse, but if they are uncomfortable with it, those words will be censored out for something else.
This project is unpaid, as it is our debut as a studio, and we currently do not have a budget to pay our workers.
We will credit all of our staff members and voice actors in the bio of our channel, in our discord server, and in the description of every video. The showcase includes the voice actor’s name, socials, and small bio. Voice actors and staff members are also listed in the credits of each show.

The deadlines for each audition is currently June 11. We may extend the deadline if we have not found the correct talents.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Expect to be communicated with through Discord! Both the director, Gianna, and the co-director, Juni, will warmly greet you and will kindly make sure you are able to get assignments in! If you have to go on hiatus at any time, do not worry! We will also be hiring backup voice actors for the roles!
WHAT WE ASK OF YOU
First and foremost, have fun! -- all current staff members hold a deep love for this project, and we hope the future ones will too! It overall allows this series to develop into the show we want it to be!
If voice acting, submit clean recordings (no air conditioners in the background, no fans -- we don't mind performing noise reduction on your files, however too much clean-up reduces the quality of your voice). Please do not add voice changers or use AI for your lines! You will be removed from the project.
Feel free to record your lines as many times as you’d like! However, let the staff know which ones you’d prefer being in the show.
Please submit your work through files, and not audio recordings in Discord! Audio will be hard to decipher if you do it that way.
We do at times ask for line re-dos, but only when necessary! (Ex: noise is heard in the background, voice crack, etc.)
We’d like people who stick with us to the end! We understand if certain staff members such as promo artists or character designers cannot, but if you are a voice actor, you are expected to stick with the project!

Himaraiko
She/her
Himaraiko is the leader of the main characters’ rival group, BERRYXX. She runs the girl group to an almost frightening degree. Every member listens to her as if her word is law. However, she is quite able to fool the audience into thinking she is just a caring selfless girl. Despite her being the leader, she is the least “evil” girl of the group. She is incredibly worried about survival. She is also an incredibly talented individual, especially in vocals.

She/her
Sugary and sweet, SoSu lives up to the name of her girl group, BERRYXX!! Despite having the kindest exterior, she’s rotten on the inside. She is a skillful manipulator and is willing to do whatever it takes to keep herself in the industry at the top. Luckily for her, her visuals and vocals allow for that to be pretty easy! That is.. until the main 6 girls show up and take the media by storm.

Waruguchi (RaWa)
She/her
RaWa is the lead dancer of BERRYXX. Her gracefulness almost puts the crowd under a trance, drawing all their gazes to her. Behind the curtain, though, she is horribly different. All that matters is herself, and she is always getting annoyed with the others. She constantly badmouths her fellow members any chance she gets. Careful what you say, it could be used against you!

Fuhai
(He/him)
Fuhai is the CEO of the company that owns BERRYXX (fruitsxo). Unfortunately, he’s only in it for the money. He takes an unfair cut from the girls’ salaries and overworks them by booking gig after gig. But the girls all come from poor backgrounds, and he knows this, so they have nowhere else to go. He’s got them all trapped for his own gain, and he couldn’t be happier.

She/her
Yumi is the leader of SPOTLIGHT7. She is a smooth talker and doesn’t seem to care about much. Kind of like Camila. However, she has wonderful vocals and is able to transform into a lovable and cutesy character on stage. Yumi also has a very hard time expressing herself. Due to this she stays silent a lot and when she does chime in it’s very neutral or professional. Fun fact- she has albinism! (edited)

She/her
Kat is a very sweet individual who tries her best in all allies of performance. She’s the youngest of the group and the most adored by fans.. her and Koharu seem to get along quite well despite being competition. She is a lot more confident than Koharu, but Koharu looks up to her for that. It seems they don’t like to fight. (edited)

(She/they)
Shizu is the main vocalist of SPOTLIGHT7. She is cold, graceful, and a smooth talker. She is best friends with yumi and helps yumi better communicate with the other members. Shizu is very caring, often giving off an “older sister” vibe. She immerses herself in her work and is able to handle everything that comes at her, taking care of herself and others in the process.

She/Her
Aimee is the visuals of SPOTLIGHT7. Her skin is always glowing— scratch that, she is always glowing. She scores the group multiple deals and sponsorships and models for many different companies. She carries herself with such perfection and seems to treat herself so gingerly, as if she’d shatter if handled too roughly. Her emotional state is very rocky and she is working on regulating it. Overall, though, she is incredibly sweet and loving.

Jae is the CEO of the company that manages SPOTLIGHT7. She is also the manager of the girls. She has a sweet exterior, always kind and sweet to the girls, but secretly, she hates them. She uses them to get money and silently hopes on their downfall so she can take the money and be freed from their, as she sees it, “annoying personalities”.

Vince always has coffee. He is an observer, introvert, and a skillful dancer. (He is RIPPED guys istg) He also plays the piano, and is a model. He was River’s favorite student, and when the dance teacher was replaced (as Xeni), he introduced River to Xeni, allowing them to meet and become friends! (And eventually bfs — but Vince isn’t signed long enough to see that)

Even after they’ve disbanded, he still writes songs he would’ve loved for them to sing together.. it seems he has a hard time letting things go.

He/they
Berri is the youngest of the group, and it shows. He is average height, but looks very young compared to how old he really is. (He looks like a middle schooler but he is really 17). He dresses dark but has HUGE golden retriever energy. Not only that, but he is the star of the group. (Most adored by the fans) Unfortunately for him, YNL’s staff get easily fed up with his antics, and members have to take him out for walks at night to help him burn off energy. However, this energy comes greatly to use when doing choreo and other practices during training, and he is the most efficient out of all of the 6.

He/They
Noctis is a strong individual both physically and mentally. Carrying many of the groups responsibilities on his back (since he seems to be the only one who can stay organized), he can get stressed often. He is also the main vocalist of the group, having an insanely strong voice and range. His one safe space, though, will always be the stars. He loves astronomy dearly and is a huge believer in fate. Whatever happens must have a purpose.

He/Him
Tristian is the leader of the group!! While you can’t tell much from how he dresses and acts, he’s a total sweetie to his group mates and has incredible morals. He’d do anything to make his group members happy and cares deeply about each and every one of them, remembering the smallest details about each member. He also knows how to be perfectly charming and seemingly is close to Sol.. however Sol seems to fear him. I wonder what that could be about?
