Hello!! This is a Higurashi No Naku Koro ni Kai FANDUB that i am organizing! you can contact me at irlryuugu at gmail dot com (specific address made just for this english dub --> please no unsolicited offers or conversation starters/clutter). I will be voicing Rena Ryuugu, but so far all other roles are in need of voice actors! please check the informational video for more information on how to audition!

Oishi is an old man, and a detective who is near retirement. However, he does partake in gambling, and is investigating this situation out of his own interest.

Irie Kyousuke is a middle aged doctor at Irie Clinic. he is generally level-headed. he works at the clinic that miyo takano works at, and is the doctor there.

Keiichi maebara is a teenage boy, but his voice is somewhat deep. Keiichi is the main protagonist of season one, and is still somewhat the protagonist of season 2. He carries the show with narration alot of the time. You should be able to show the horror in his voice in certain situations when he is afraid. look up videos of keiichi maebara's voice to get a proper idea of what he should sound like. Keiichi is a very important male role, and he carries the show along with rika for this season.

Satoko's older brother. He went missing the year prior. He is not heard from much, unless it is in flashbacks.

Takano Miyo is a nurse at Irie clinic. she is the antagonist behind the scenes in this season. She sounds quite evil and unsettling in her normal tone, but not over-the-top. she does not let on her true intentions when speaking to any of the other characters in a normal setting. look up videos of her voice to understand what i mean. her voice is very particular, and she is the main antagonist, so her role is very important. if you can, you might also want to attempt to voice her as a child (there is an episode or two of a flashback), but if your voice does not range that way we can find another voice actor, or use pitch-editing to attempt to make those lines sound like a child's.

the younger of the sonozaki twins (presumably by most). she is the more feminine one, but not by too much. she is still partly a delinquent, but she acts more proper than mion.

the older of the sonozaki twins (presumably, by most). the tomboyish one. she tends to hide her feelings and laugh them off. she is the leader of the club.

satoko is a young girl. she lives with Rika, after the disappearance of her older brother satoshi. she can be seen by some as annoying. she likes to play tricks and place traps, and has a little bit of a troublemaker kid vibe to her voice. look up videos of her lines to get a better idea of what she should sound like. satoko's voice is a distinctive one, so you will want to get it right.

rika is a young girl, but she hides a much darker side of her. she is the protagonist of season two. she is much wiser than she lets herself off to be towards others. you should be able to switch from a very cutesy, mascot-like voice (think, her 'ni-paaa~' type lines, talking cute around her friends), to a much more serious, deeper voice when she begins to speak about darker things. it is best to look up a video of rika's voice, as she changes drastically during some areas of the show and you should be able to portray this change quite well. rika has many, many speaking lines that carry the show.

Hanyuu appears as a young girl in this season. Her voice is very very cute, except in serious situations, when she speaks in a much much deeper and more serious voice, similar to how rika does. look up videos of Hanyuu's lines to get an idea of what she should sound like. Hanyuu is the embodiment of Oyashiro, and she has lines later in the season that can be very impactful if carried out correctly.

Rena Ryuugu is the character which I will be voicing for. She has the potential to be very cutesy at times, and very scary at times. this role has already been taken.
