Project Overview

Here Lies Alexander is a historical drama with supernatural and vampiric elements, set in colonial New York City in 1775.

The story follows 18-year old Alexander Blackwood who arrives in New York to his Brother, Jullian's, estate during the chaos of the American Revolution. Benjamin Arlington — side character

Line 1: “Mhm... may I ask what’s your name, and what your business is on Broad Street?”

(Suspicious, distrusting)

Line 2: “No, no. It’s fine. Go spend time with him instead.”

(Passive-aggressive, masking his irritation)

Line 3: “People have a habit of regretting crossing me.”

(Trying to sound threatening, but not entirely convincing)

Line 4: “Don’t you dare act like I’m the bad guy here!”

(Angry, defensive, genuinely offended)

Benjamin is a pompous and conniving man. He is betrothed the Merci Scarrow (a main character) through an arranged marriage. He gets jealous of Alexander when Merci seems to take a likingto him.
