Hazbin Hotel: A Cartooncore Fan Dub

Charlotte Morningstar, more commonly known as Charlie, is the Hellborn princess of Hell, the founder of the Happy Hotel, and the main protagonist of Hazbin Hotel. The estranged daughter of Lucifer, Charlie wants to do right by her kingdom and find a way to redeem Sinners into Heaven through rehabilitation at the Hazbin Hotel.

Charlie is compassionate and empathetic to a fault, feeling genuinely upset at the idea of harm coming to others. Although she isn't unaware that Hell is populated with souls that have committed egregious acts in their living lives, she still views their yearly extermination as a senseless waste and makes it her personal mission to help them avoid it via self-betterment and eventual redemption, something she is seemingly alone in believing is possible. Charlie's idealism, while setting her apart from many of her hell-born peers, can also make her naïve to many of the harsh realities that appear to stand in the way of her potential success - something her girlfriend, Vaggie, tries to remind her of, only to be cheerfully ignored in favor of a more blinkered, sunny optimism. This can also cause her to rush headlong into the initial stages of her plans without much preparation. Charlie has a love for musical theatre, song, and dance, and will often convey her emotions and ideas through show tunes and ballads. Despite being sweet and lacking 'street-smarts', this doesn't make Charlie a pushover or stupid. When people insult her or openly mock her ideals and plans, she has no hesitation in standing up for herself, or even rolling up her sleeves to physically fight back. She is also not above letting a few cuss words slip.

Vaggie, is an angel and former Exorcist. She serves as the manager of the Hazbin Hotel. Skilled in combat and very protective of her girlfriend, Charlie, Vaggie is tough but has a heart of gold.

Vaggie is a pragmatic and cautious angel who devotes a great deal of her time towards attempting to support Charlie with her vision for the hotel, as well as guide her away from as much trouble or humiliation as possible. She is tough but she has a heart of gold. Loyal and kind to those she cares for, but short on patience and trust, Vaggie tends to be very reactive and often takes an immediate defensive stance (with an offense at the ready) when it comes to dealing with potential threats, towards either herself or to Charlie. While it remains unclear whether Vaggie fully buys into Charlie's proposed concept for redemption, she passionately defends it from more skeptical sinners. Vaggie is fairly prudent in business, trying her hardest to fill her designated role as hotel management, even with an initial lack of resources and a very run-down property to operate out of. She is also relatively easy to bait past the point of irritation and into more rash explosiveness, as others are quick to discover.

Angel Dust is a famous porn star in Hell and the first sinner the hotel is attempting to redeem, but his selfish actions of using the hotel as a rent-free living space threaten to jeopardize Charlie's dream.

Angel is brash and sarcastic, with a quick, sharp wit. He will often use these traits to deflect criticism or insults, and side-step responsibility. He will switch between playful and destructive as he pleases, and his humor tends to be crude and crass, with an emphasis on dirty jokes and innuendos, which he feels is expected of him and actively plays into. He is stylish and performs an excessive amount of confidence with his public persona, being wildly flirtatious and interested in receiving positive attention for his looks and the profile he has made for himself in Hell. He also makes a show of looking down others. As a result, Angel can often appear flippant and callous. In reality he is preemptively defensive and hides much of his true, more sensitive and insecure, self for his own protection, not expecting those around him to show him kindness. Angel does have friends, and while he cares about them and will sometimes show signs of wanting to reach out, he keeps many walls up between himself and others, being very protective of his true feelings and avoiding holding overly emotional relationships. He holds a cynical view on the idea of redemption, although he seems to still hold onto a small hope it may be possible for him.

Alastor, also known as The Radio Demon, is a sinner demon and one of the many powerful Overlords of Hell. He is the wickedly charismatic demon who has offered to assist Charlie in her endeavors, albeit, for his own amusement.

Alastor stands out from many of the more chaotic residents of hell for his well-maintained amiable persona. He gives a first impression of a good-natured and charming man, wearing a permanently wide grin on his face at all times. His behavior, mannerisms, and even his voice are similar to an old-fashioned radio announcer, often using quaint anachronisms such as "the picture show". This playful dandyish exterior, however, obscures a much darker side to him - one with high levels of self-importance - and he will not hesitate to use physical violence when others don't act in line with his very particular values or expectations. Alastor values good manners, affability, and intelligence very highly in others, and will actively look down on those who do not meet his standards, however, he will often play fast and loose with these arbitrary rules in regard to himself and his own conduct. His smiling is a very self-enforced form of ego and a show of power and dominance; he looks down on anyone who lets their true emotions show, and even when faced with a rival in strength, if they let slip a frown, Alastor will see them as truly weak. Despite everything, Alastor does genuinely seem to want to help Charlie run the Hazbin Hotel, albeit for his own amusement, and hopes for its failure over siding with her idealism.

Husk is a sinner demon, a grumpy gambler and magician. A former Overlord of Hell who lost his soul to Alastor in a bet. Now, he and Niffty have been summoned by him to help work at the Hazbin Hotel, with Husk being its front desk clerk and bartender.

Husk is a grumpy, lazy, and somewhat apathetic old sinner whose interests in Hell now lie mostly in gambling, parlor tricks, and prolific drinking. He can be gruff, standoffish, and sarcastic, with a propensity to swear. Despite this, he is also surprisingly patient and able to take a lot of outlandish events in his stride, electing to just drink his problems away later. He is very observant, having the ability to read people and understand their problems well, which makes him quick to notice when someone isn't being genuine with him, something he doesn't enjoy. He values authenticity and seems to understand himself and his own issues well too, openly accepting that his reliance on alcohol and gambling hasn't helped him feel better. Surprisingly empathetic and willing to give an unjudgemental listening ear to those who need it, he shows a sweeter and more protective side to those he forms a more substantial connection to.

Niffty is a sinner demon who works as both the maid and cook for the Hazbin Hotel. She was summoned to work in the Hotel along with Husk by their mutual associate, Alastor.

Niffty is hyper, spontaneous, and agile, being very quick on her feet. She is easily entertained, easily distracted, and easily excitable. She dislikes when there is a mess in any room, and has a fixation on men in general. However, she appears to only like "bad boys". She isn't afraid to get dirty, and enjoys cleaning everyone's messes all with a gleeful, yet creepy charm. Despite all of her twistiness, she does have some kind of standards for how she views who is "bad". She has masochistic tendencies, as well as sadistic. She is also shown to suffer from camera shyness, as whenever a camera begins filming her she goes into a state of hypnotic trance where she doesn't move, blink or speak, just stares at the camera until recording is done. Niffty has an extreme case of obsessive compulsive disorder, constantly cleaning the Hotel and obsession with ridding any bugs she sees to the point she would bring out a knife just to kill them. Even when being taken outside of the Hotel, she would be constantly cleaning any mess. She is a kleptomaniac since she collects things like hair or fur from men she is obsessed with.

Sir Pentious is a Victorian-era demon striving to be modern and cool and has a passion for building steampunk machines of destruction. His goal in the pilot was to conquer Hell using his machines and army of Egg Boiz. He is the second sinner the hotel is attempting to redeem.

Sir Pentious is bombastic, flamboyant, short-tempered, temperamental, and persistent, his personality appearing to take cues from classic "mustache-twirling" stock villains. He takes tremendous pride in his grandiose ideas of how evil and cunning he is. He uses his mechanical genius to build weapons, such as a cannon and his airship. However, he is more than capable of showing remorse and has a sense of honor. He strives to be modern and cool. Sir Pentious is oblivious to sexual innuendo and tends to take the things said to him very literally.

The Egg Boiz are Sir Pentious' minions.

They all share a goofy, carefree personality, but are also extremely loyal to Sir Pentious despite the latter mistreating them every chance he gets. They aren't the brightest, but are very obedient and loyal to their allies so they follow suit without much hesitation or question. Because of this, they aren't too keen on having any sort of emotional attachment to their "bosses". The Egg Boiz are also bad at keeping secrets. They aren't scared to fight even an Overlord if they seem like a threat to them and their boss.

Cherri Bomb is a sinner demon and is one of Angel Dust's close friends and his partner in crime.

Cherri is shown to be daring, bold, and determined. She is self-confident and constantly smiles broadly, taking pleasure in committing arson and other various crimes. Despite this wild and carefree persona, Cherri is shown to have a more sensitive side as well.

Katie Killjoy is a sinner demon and the head anchor of 666 News, Hell's premiere news station.

Katie is arrogant, selfish, and narcissistic. She cares mostly about her own image, the hottest stories, and the latest gossip. Katie is aggressive and seems to always be on edge. At the same time, Katie does not tolerate insults in her direction.

Tom Trench is a sinner demon and co-anchorman at 666 News.

Tom has something of a perverted personality, as he frequently makes sexual comments while covering stories on the 666 News. He is, however, nicer unlike his co-host.

Vox is one of the many Overlords of Hell and is a major antagonist in Hazbin Hotel. He is the owner and CEO of VoxTek and a member of the Vees alongside Valentino and Velvette. A technology-savvy businessman, Vox pulls the strings of Hell's news and media and is determined to keep his iron grip over Pentagram City's citizens from Alastor, his rival in influence and technology.

Vox is an egotistical, charismatic, and manipulative showman of an Overlord who craves attention. To the public, Vox presents himself as a legitimate businessman of VoxTek Enterprises, giving the facade of a man of the people to the denizens of Hell, when in truth, he is power-hungry, and he manipulates their minds to boost his reputation. He is very intelligent and technology-savvy, and he is always keeping up with the latest trends and technology. Despite his egocentric nature, Vox is loyal to the interests of his fellow Overlords and seeks to maintain their collective image of power. As the most level-headed member, Vox often acts as the de facto leader of the Vees. Claiming the Vees' brand to be "perfection", he is often frustrated or outright angered if someone can jeopardize it. Another element that earns his ire is his rival, Alastor, whom he utterly despises and might be intimidated by as he sees Alastor as a threat to his plans. However, despite his immense hatred for Alastor, Vox doesn't let it override his more pragmatic side. He fully knows Alastor's power and doesn't risk underestimating him.

Valentino is a sinner demon who is one of the many Overlords of Hell. He is the head of the porn studios within V Tower and a close associate of Velvette and Vox. He is also the owner and boss of his films' main star, Angel Dust, whom he has under contractual obligation.

Valentino has been known to be charming and roughly as level-headed as his fellow Overlord, Vox. Valentino is controlling, abusive, and narcissistic, specifically towards one of his star employees, Angel Dust. Valentino is frequently surrounded by a collection of girls who work for him. He is ostentatious in displaying both his profession and status. He has a temperamental side, throwing objects and ripping other demons apart when he is angry and he doesn't think about how his actions affect his and the Vees' image. He has a charming and fake side to him. Valentino uses his charming persona to lure other Demons into working for him.

Velvette (pronounced Velvet) is one of the many Overlords in Hell. She is a close associate of Vox and Valentino and is the self-proclaimed backbone of the Vees.

Velvette is the energetic, stylish, and trendy type who is always up-to-date with the latest trends and technology. This is one of the main reasons why she and Vox get along quite well with each other. She is critical and judgy when it comes to fashion. Velvette is also observant. She is shown to be a cruel and overbearing employer, insulting and demeaning her employees (who are justifiably afraid of her) while barking orders at them.

Carmilla Carmine is a demon and one of the many powerful Overlords of Hell. She is the top weapons dealer in Hell.

Carmilla is largely professional, though she can lose her temper, especially when Zestial is insulted or her family is in danger. However, she is usually calm and level-headed. She cares about her daughters and is willing to cross any line to protect them, even if it means killing an Exorcist while knowing there will be disastrous consequences for it. She even cares about Zestial and is willing to protect him too. She wants to avoid resorting to violence and avoid going to war, but at the same time, she'll do whatever it takes to protect her loved ones.

Zestial is a demon and one of the many powerful Overlords of Hell, as well as the oldest Overlord.

Zestial speaks in an archaic dialect redolent of Early Modern English similar to William Shakespeare. He has a very sophisticated way of speaking and often keeps his temper rather than getting easily frustrated. His reputation is such that demons other than his fellow Overlords are terrified of him, hiding or cowering whenever he passes by. Befitting his advanced age, Zestial is extremely patient and cautious.

Rosie is the co-owner turned sole owner of Rosie's Emporium after Franklin's death and is one of the many Overlords in Hell.

Rosie is intelligent, patient, friendly, elegant and charming when interacting and socializing with others. Rosie is especially kind and loving to those she considers her friends. As the leader of the Cannibal Town, Rosie has shown to be gracious and kind to the Cannibals who reside there. Rosie herself can also be quite commanding and intimidating towards them when she wants to be and can lead them efficiently as their leader, being fully aware of the mentality of the cannibals. However, despite her general kindness, Rosie has a dark side as an Overlord. Rosie is highly intelligent and cunning. Due to her past experiences in Hell, Rosie believes that words are cheap and only action is what ultimately shows the truth.

Lucifer Morningstar is a fallen angel, the father of Charlie and the estranged husband of Lilith. He is the ruler of all of Hell and one of the Seven Deadly Sins, embodying the sin of Pride.

Despite his status as the ruler of all of Hell, Lucifer possesses a grandiose and dramatic nature, acting very over-the-top in most situations. He often switches between being silly and theatrical to awkward and melancholic. Like Charlie, Lucifer is ambitious in what he believes in. As a father, he falls short of expectations. Although he loves Charlie dearly, he seems to be preoccupied with his own problems. He seldom calls Charlie, and when he does, it's usually because he's bored or needs something. While he is the King of Hell, Lucifer hardly rules over his subjects and leaves them to their own devices. Although he understands his daughter's interest in rehabilitating Sinners, Lucifer is cynical about the idea of trying to save any of them, as he attempted to redeem sinners in the past. Lucifer is fiercely protective of Charlie.

Mimzy is a sinner demon and a singer who owns a club.

Mimzy is a bratty, materialistic diva, who has many self-centered traits that the people around her react strongly to. She appears to conflict with other strong personalities. Mimzy is very thirsty for attention and self-centered. Aside from all her rude traits, she cares at least a little bit for her friends. She has also been described as larger than life, ambitious, determined, insecure, sad, depressed, and consumed by the need to be famous.

Adam is an Angel. He was the first human man created alongside the first human soul to enter Heaven. After becoming an angel, he was delegated to command over his personal private military force known as Exorcists, and serves Heaven as forerunner of the Extermination movement.

Adam appears very egotistical, misogynistic, and unsympathetic. As leader of his Exorcist army, he takes his stance as the Exorcists' head figure very seriously, sending antagonistic threats towards demons and anyone for standing in their way or whoever disobeys his command. He also displays traits of extreme narcissism and chauvinism, believing himself the perfect man due to being the first and claiming he has never made a mistake in his life, since he was the first man to be born on Earth. Adam does not appear to be aware that his egoism and depravity of Lilith was the cause of her to leave him. Adam is also sexist, constantly addressing other women as "bitches" and enjoys their sexual depravity. In spite of this, he seems to have a good relationship with Lute, whom he seems to have in very high esteem, even though he is her superior. Despite his obliviousness, Adam does show moments of common sense and self-awareness, Adam also knows when to slow down on his egoism.

Lute is an Exorcist and Adam's lieutenant.

Lute is Adam's stoic subordinate who is always by his side. She and Adam appear to have a friendly relationship, with Adam complimenting her on her large kill count, and Lute joining him in his antics. Like Adam, she enjoys her status as an Angel and dislikes the very idea that Angels can make mistakes. Lute especially shows a sadistic side in demeaning Charlie, specifically on how her father feels about her. Like all Exorcists, she doesn't care about Sinners and resorts to killing them every year in the extermination, and takes pride in how many demons she's killed. However, Lute also has a strong sense of loyalty to Heaven. Lute herself has shown to be very loyal to Sera and Adam, her superiors, and follows their orders without hesitation. At her core, Lute is a uncompromising zealot, refusing to give up her mission and purpose as an exorcist, even viewing mercy as a unforgivable.

Sera is a seraphim angel.

Sera comes across as a kind, level-headed person who is caring toward those she interacts with and welcoming to even demons such as Charlie and Vaggie. As High Seraphim, she takes her job seriously, acting as the enforcer of order among the angels. This extends to her abiding to civil behavior. She holds a preference for negotiation over violence when it comes to conflict. Sera also shows a nurturing side to the angels she is devoted to, particularly with her fellow Seraphim Emily, to whom she acts as a mother figure towards. Despite her gentle nature, Sera's firm dedication to stability and willingness to do whatever it takes to protect Heaven from chaos leads her to perform controversial actions. This even motivated her to support Adam's yearly extermination and sending Lucifer and Lilith down to Hell. Her care for the other angels also factors into these decisions, fearing the same outcome that happened to Lucifer would happen to Emily and other angels if they questioned Heaven's methods, going as far as to protect Emily from the truth to ensure her happiness. Although she was complicit, Sera does express regret and anguish when making such decisions. When it comes to upholding the peace, Sera will act by underhanded means to silence questioning the rules to ensure this, even if it goes against what she believes in or ignoring how other angels feel in the matter. Furthermore, despite regretting allowing the Exterminations and her own strong sense of responsibility to protect Heaven, Sera is somewhat irresponsible in how to handle the matters in regard to the Extermination event she authorized and takes a passive approach by letting others handle it.

Emily is a seraphim angel.

Emily is excitable, sweet, friendly, and kind to pretty much everyone. She does not discriminate against others based on mistakes or who they are. She compliments Sera in personality, with Sera the most serious and Emily the more bubbly. Working alongside Sera, her job is to preserve the happiness and joy of the human souls that ascend to Heaven. Emily also holds a great amount of sympathy towards human souls and sees them all as equal, much like Charlie.
