Project Overview

Premise

Half of an apocalyptic world's population is made of genetically altered creatures from the underworld referred to as "hybrids".

One of their kind is Koll, the son of a notorious demon overlord who aspires to live independently. After being appointed to a group of rogue hunters, he challenges his potential and drives himself to discover his purpose; eliminate his father and start a hybrid revolution.

Prepare for a visceral revenge tale that's equally as heartfelt.

This project will begin production in June 2026.

More character and crew roles will be added soon!

Auditioners for the characters must be 18 years or older.

There is vulgar language, but it doesn't occur as frequently as you might expect.

The only roles that will be chosen ahead of the deadline are the non-character roles.

There aren't voice claims, only personality claims, so be free!

  • BATCH THREE UPDATES

    The following may not be the best news about HoUAH, but I guess it's gonna get broken anyway. Plus, it's not even 6AM EST (my timezone) so yeah.

    First: I might've made a mistake with casting Koll (the main character) early and forced my hands to choose the VA's for Shakai and Skraal early as well. This is because I haven't gotten any auditions for those two characters and the crew (ALSO VERY IMPORTANT TO AUDITION FOR) since I chose AriesFire to voice Koll. I'm very sorry for the inconvenient recruitment timeline, but yeah, it was a rookie mistake on my end. I'll do my best to make sure it doesn't happen again.

    Second: I'd like to respectively welcome Tytonidae and Dre Ayala is the VA's for Shakai and Skraal! For the last time, every single auditioner gave it their all and I can't be any more thankful for it. You all have a great future ahead!

    Third: PLEASE share this with any sound designers and artists you may know, as those two roles are the biggest hurdles for me (obviously besides the VA's lol). They're still open until April 22, so send a submission while you still can!

    Fourth (and last): The second batch of characters opens on May 2!

  • BATCH TWO UPDATES

    Good (whatever time it is for you) everyone! I'm here for some more updates to HoUaH!

    First: In order to promote the roles of Skraal and Shakai, I have decided on who will voice Koll, the main character. I apologize if it was unnecessary, but considering how much attention I need for the other two, it might've been a good thing.

    Out of an impressive 25 submissions, more than any other role I've opened, the role of Koll goes to AriesfireVO! There was some INSANE competition for this role and everyone gave it their all, so thank you for the assistance on giving our rebellious demon a voice!

    Second: I NEED ENVIRONMENT ARTISTS AND MUSICISIANS, PRONTO!

    Third: The wave 2 call is being worked on! If you didn't get Koll, Skraal, or Shakai, don't worry; you've got another shot at another colorful character! That's coming soon!

  • BATCH ONE UPDATES

    Hey auditioners! Here are the first updates for Half of Us are Hybrids!

    First, I'll say that I've been blown away by the rapid support of this listing and can't thank any of you enough for it. I can't recall LIMITS (my audio drama that you can find in my links) getting this much attention so quickly.

    Second, I have unfortunately and regretfully decided to shorten the deadline of this call to May 1. That date comes a week after the listing's forced removal from the "Open Projects" tab (as detailed in the project manager). Even if you don't catch whim of the listing before April 22 (the day it expires), you still have an additional week to audition or apply.

    Third, I'm making this the first of two waves for auditioners. The second wave, arriving shortly after I choose who gets the roles in wave one, will only have characters, but a plethora of them to choose from.

    Finally, there are some audio-oriented roles that are now available to apply for! Musicians and audio engineers can throw their hat in the ring to help with the music and sound effects!

Koll (pronounced as "Cole") is a red-skinned hybrid with an axe at the tip of his tail. He is the son of a demon overlord who at one point ruled the underworld and wants to go further with the help of his son. Even with his enigmatic personality, Koll is tired of the mayhem and aspires to end his father's reign.
