Hakuoki Alter: Chapter 2 Roles
Project Overview
This is an audio drama type of project that will be made to look like the Game Hakuoki but in an Alternate Timeline. The main protagonist is Shinomi Haruka, on Oni woman working directly for the Shogun becomes the leader of the Okuzume Squad and eventually has to work with the men of the Shinsengumi to find the were about of Yukimura Kodo.
the script uses Japanese titles, honorifics, and words so that it's more in line with the original game. You also get to have fun making noises when your annoyed, or hurt, or anything like that, "..." isn't always silent. This is a story with action.

He's kind and gentle to everyone, though Haruka would call him a bit naive sometimes, but appreciates the warmth he manages to give off even in tough situations. Under all that he has a strong will to live a live of honor, and a wide range of knowledge in not just military tactics, but medical, and even western tactics. He also is very passionate about western culture.

Itou Kashitaro, 29. The Sanbo of the Shinsengumi. A man with military strategy and a master in the Itou sword style. He can come off as kind and grateful but usually uses backhanded compliments to belittle other people. However, he also tends to use flattery on people he wants to get closer with for his own benefit.
If there is one person he cares for other than himself, it's his younger brother, Saburo Miki. And if there's one person he'd say he owes a debt too and will watch his mouth around, it's Haruka.
He doesn't brag about his education or how cultural he is out loud but he does think it makes him better. When he does, it's to put others down by comparing them to him. He can also be dramatic sometimes when he needs to be.
His voice is softish, with getting loud and a bit strained when angered or surprised and dropping his normal facade. His voice is a bit singsongy.

Miki Saburo, 27. The troublesome younger brother of Itou Kashitaro and captain of the 9th division. He's arrogant, outspoken, direct, and abrasive. He usually ends up picking a fight with the other Shinsengumi members and captains.
He's loyal to his older brother who he genuinely looks up to and will listen too when he's being scolded. He also looks up to Haruka and claims he has a debt to her that he doesn't feel he's made up for.
His voice is a bit rough sounding but loud when pissed off.

Osen, 15. The princess and leader of the Yase Oni clan that oversees Kyoto and the Emperor. She is friends with Haruka due to both being leaders of their clans and having business together often. Sen is enthusiastic, cheerful, and helpful.
In moments when there is trouble she is brave and will stand up to people. She is bold and has a strong sense of responsibility to not just her people, but even to humans. She will also speak her mind when something doesn't sit right with her. And when angered, she becomes intimidating.
Her voice is young sounding most of the time before becoming mature when she's chastising, passionate, using her position, or angered.

Kosuzu, 15. A young girl working as a Maiko in Shimabara. She's passionate about her training and about her sisters in the Okiya she works at. She's sweet, honest, and can be feisty. She ends up having a crush on Ibuki and eventually becoming partners with him when she leaves for Edo.
Her voice is high, soft, and a bit sweet.

Oume, 22. A wife of a tailor shop owner that is sent to collect money from Serizawa for the uniforms made for the Shinsengumi. She isn't allowed back until she collects the money.
She is soft spoken, gentle and polite but not afraid to be tougher and have a resolve when needed.

Okada Okichi, 22. A son of an official enlisted into the Okuzume Squad. He has problems with being a loud mouth and cocky, which often results in him getting punishments by both of his Taicho. Haruka's punishments being more serious than Hitomi's. Despite all that, he does remain fiercely loyal to the group and is even the one closest to Hitomi as he took him under his wing.
