Hairspray [A Genderbend Musical]
Project Overview
In 1960s Baltimore, dance-loving teen Tristan (Tracy) Turnblad auditions for a spot on "The Corni Collins Show" and wins. He becomes an overnight celebrity, a trendsetter in dance, fun, and fashion. Perhaps his new status as a teen sensation is enough to topple Corni's reigning dance king and bring racial integration to the show.
*PROJECT WILL BE BASED ON THE 2007 FILM ADAPTATION OF THE 1988 FILM/MUSICAL
This project will be a Genderbend(R63) adaptation of the musical, thus making every character, the opposite sex. While it is prepared for (R63) Characters to be played to voice talents of the same gender, it is not required. Casting will be based on sound/suit/fit of the character's personality.

The Dynamites are the best roles due to their position and stature- stage experts state that the dynamites are the most privileged actors during a stage show, even more, privileged than Tristan Turnblad.
