GUNZ is a Voltron inspired project created by Dragon ArtZ Studio. The project will be nonprofit at the start but I plan on creating a patron to keep us afloat. The project is inspired by the Guns of Gamara reality that showed up in the episode Hole In the Sky. We hope this series will create more lore for that universe and will ultimately unite with the core reality in the end.
Series description
At the heat of the Altean rain, Sven, Isamu, Hiroshi, Tsuyoshi, and Gianna, five captured under the Altean empire for different reasons become free men when broke out by Akira Kogane, an Altean rebel and medic, that just so happened to find them at the right time. The team of now outlaws makes their way to an abandoned Galra base ship where they find Romelle and Merla, the leaders of a small rebellion, Slav, a past Nobel and scientist of Altea, and Lotor, the fallen galra prince, all frozen in cryo-pods. After the three explained the situation to the group, it became their destiny to find a way to end the Altean takeover and bring the universe back to its freedom with a project code-named Arta.

Fyi, Characters such as Samual, Hira, Slav, and Sven have canon voices already so it shouldn't be hard to figure out how to voice them
Sam is the royal scientist of Altea, being head of most operations in his field. Unfortunately, Sam has been driven to madness due to the loss of his wife to the guns and his son, Matt turning to the rebel side. Not to mention the constant exposer to mind-altering chemicals. He has only remorse for his daughter Katie, as she is all he has left in life besides Hoktrils and his many experiments.

Tsuyoshi is the hot-headed ground fighter for the guns. He typically has a very foul mouth but that doesn't mean he won't be a huge teddy bear if you get along with him. He holds his own in battle, especially hand to hand combat. He's not the smartest of the team but he has heart and dedication that will help him fight on the side of the guns

Keith is the younger half-brother of Akira. He is half Altean and half Galra, however, he hides his galra side from a majority of the empire. Keith is one of the original members of the Guns of Gamara, however, was left by Akira on his last mission. The empire, more specifically Hira had tricked him into thinking Akira had left him to die and was the reason their parents were killed. Keith decided to defy his brother and "avenge" his parents and trained with Shiro, one of the top guards and soldiers for the empire, to become one of the fighters for the empire, He secretly hates it but it gives him some kind of purpose.

As the guard of one of Altea's most valuable scientists, Shiro is one of the most skilled fighters for Altea and trained Keith for many years. Despite having one of the most dangerous positions in Altea, Shiro is happily married and well. He always by his husband, Adam's, side as it is his duty to protect him

The youngest of the two Holt children, Katie follows in her father's footsteps as the future head scientist and engineer of the altean empire. She specializes in robotics and often makes prosthetics and drones for many members of the empire

Reckless and bold, and sometimes too prideful for his own good, Vaaz is a sly fighter and a great friend. He was hoktriled twice by the Alteans, but he's managed to get free both times, and now works as a stealth agent for the Gunz. He prefers not to kill his enemies, instead, he puts them to sleep.

A cold-hearted noble who envies the crown, she acts as spymaster. With a network of informants, she is constantly scheming, and no one dares to cross her—for the ones that do, usually suffer consequences worse than death.

Brendon is a hoktrilled member of the GUNZ, one of the first Alteans Doctor Holt had experimented on. He believes that the Altean empire is currently corrupted, and wants to relive other hoktrilled people of their pain and lack of freedom. He is an expert marksman, with special Altean powers inherited by his mother.

Brendon is Asmo’s younger son, so he has a voice similar to his. He is much less eccentric and more laid-back. He can be a smartass when it comes to the members of the Altean empire and should reflect that.

Asmo is a former bounty hunter and the Gunz’s newest recruit and is the father of Brendon. He’s a ladies man, which helps him move around others to get the information he needs. He’s also a rights activist and often locates workplace prisons and illegal trade systems to bring them down. Not many know who he is since he keeps all of his work under wraps. Not much information can be found on him

Asmo’s voice is British, a cross of Matt Smith and David Tennant. He has the personality of the two and is often fairly cocky and eccentric. Use the two examples for reference.

Soren is the current lab assistant to Dr, Samuel, being taken in at a young age he is technically the adoptive brother of Matt and Katie however, Samuel only sees him as lab help and not a son. Soren doesn't know any better than to follow Sam's demands and rules as that was all he was raised on. Samuel had convinced him that his parents had given up on him, hated him, and wanted him dead. As retaliation, Soren killed his parents and never came back from his dark ways.

One of the original members of the Guns of Gamara, ex altean scientist, and personal friend of Honerva, Slav is a brilliant little noodle. He's constantly protecting the base and a good majority of the tech he has produced for the guns. Despite seeming to be a feeble scientist, he's still a kickass fighter and very handy with a gun, often paired with Sven on individual missions as they match shooting ability.

Hira is the highest ranking military officer within Altea. She's a bitch in sheep's clothing, showing respect one minute but and turn on you within seconds. She could care less for fighting with the guns, or at least she says she does. Her intentions aren't meant as violent as she sees what the Empire is enforcing is actually helpful and is for the better. She would rather work with Sam and the Rosoideaes than confront Allura and have everything shut down.

Merla is the former Altean hybrid queen of Pollux and wife of Lady Romelle. She is one of the current leaders of the guns and the aunt to Empress Allura. Merla looks like a bit of a bitch, with her constant resting bitch face but she can be a real sweetheart. Merla loves teasing Lotor and Akira, as she had been a friend of theirs for years She won't step down from authority and fights alongside her wife for what she believes in.

Merla's voice should be calm and slightly deep. It should run smoothly with a small hint of cockiness in her remarks to others. Using Voltron 84's Merla as a reference is highly recommended.

Romelle is badass caged inside a sunshine bean. She stands for what she believes in and despises her niece, Allura. Being the wife of Merla, Romelle is the secondary leader for the guns and fights alongside her woman. She is very skilled with a bow and arrow and lands direct hits effortlessly. As the second leader, she has taken charge of planning the Arta project for Hiroshi and helping him recover all the parts.

Romelle should actually sound almost identical to her canon counterpart. Her voice is, however, a bit more demanding due to her taking charge most of the time.

"You all know the plan, keep comms on and find the Empress. Get as much information as possible."
"It's absolutely no surprise to me that those Alteans did that to you. You were once loyal to them after all. It's not surprising considering how they've been using the damn Hoktril on everything living thing they can attach it to recently. I'm not saying all Alteans are like that. Hell, I'm Altean myself. I'm well aware of what happened in the other reality. I was there during my absence from the team. There is a full team of rebel Galra fighting against the empire. Me saying those Alteans means the ones that did that to you, not all of us. You should know that. There are good Alteans just like there are good Galrans."
Lotor is the former prince if the galra empire. He fell from grace once the Alteans had defeated his father. As her last shred of remote humanity, Lotor's mother, Honerva, sealed Lotor, Romelle, and Merla in cryo-pods to protect them from the destruction of their planet. Lotor is a gentle and sweet man unlike his core reality counterpart, being mostly raised by a sane Zarkon and Honerva. He has a past friendship with Allura, as they grew up together. Lotor is also very skilled with a sword but is just as equal in skill with a gun, thus he dawns a gun sword designed by the fallen Galra empire.

"You have no idea what we are up against. Why should I even trust you when Voltron obviously had a reason to send you flying in here!? Just because we have the same enemy doesn't mean I can trust you. The Guns of Gamara side with Voltron, not the Galra empire!"
Akira Kogane is the medic and rediscoverer of the Guns of Gamara. He has a past with the Altean Empire and the Empress. He tries to stay calm in certain situations, often keeping himself quiet. However, his limits can be pushed and he can get very angry. Akira is also very selfless, pushing himself in front of others. His pain tolerance is high due to his experience with the empire so he takes hits for the team.

His voice is close to Keith, with a small hint of an accent. His voice is also a tad bit deeper.

Hiroshi is a huge geek that honestly just wants to help everyone. Well for the most part. He won't hate you if you're a good person. He's typically pretty awkward when it comes to talking to new people but he's actually really social. He loves creating many mechanical things.

Isamu Kurogane is the second head of the Arta project and the best friend of Hiroshi. He's a real sweetheart, often trying to lighten the mood around everyone. He and Hiro are former Garrison students, however, he was sent off on a mission and went missing far before Hiroshi and the rest of the team coming from Earth. Isa, despite being mainly positive, actually has his own problems due to his past being with the Altean empire.

Isamu's voice is close to Lance. It's not quite there though. Rather than being a slightly pitched up version of Jeremy Shada's voice, it's more like his natural speaking voice so it's a bit deeper than Lance.
"Heya! I'm Isamu, I'm second in heading the Arta project. Hiro is the head! I guess I can't say much buuuut, I can say one thing. Giant robots!"
"I don't like to think about it, let alone talk about it. Hiro, what could I have said? 'Oh, by the way, when I was captured, they hurt me in ways I didn't think possible because I wouldn't say a word, and then took away my free will?'"
"Which one was that, the leopard? Want me to take a look at her?"

The calmest of the team, Sven is normally not that talkative at first but once you get to know him, he is a real yoo hoot! He's protective of the ones he loves, often getting injured (and yelled at by Akira) for others. Hiroshi sees him as a father figure as he's taken care of him the whole way through this mess of a journey.

Gianna is a seamstress turned rebel by chance of being broken out by Akira. She fights to avenge her past lover and child as they were lost to Altea. She struggles hard with alcoholism due to her using it as a way to cope but she's fighting forward regardless of what's happening to her,

Lost in her ways by the death of her father at the hands of Zarkon, Allura rules over the Alteans, or at least she believes she is. It's no secret to any Nobel in the Altean Empire other than her that she is just the centerpiece of the disaster that is the Altean Empire. Allura is the least aware of the actions that Sam, Hira, and the Rosideaes take to keep Alteans on top.

The younger of the two Holt cones, Cassy acts with a bit more confidence than her brother. She developed faster than Cass so she has a better grasp on things than him. Despite that, she's still ignorant to the situation she was born into.

Carlo is the older brother of Hiroshi, coming from French descent. Carlo was taken by the Alteans, leaving the boys' younger sister, Zelda, behind. He was eventually experimented on by Sam, giving him a ghost-like form and causing him to be hoktriled. The ghost form actually influenced Hiro, Vaaz, and James to give him the nickname "Danny Phantom"
