Project Overview

The epic battle between Godzilla and King Ghidorah has always fascinated me-- and with the release of "Godzilla: King Of The Monsters" it got me thinking. What would they be saying if they could speak? It inspired me to want to do a short audio drama of this concept. If you have not seen the film prior to auditioning, that is entirely fine, but be aware it will be loosely based upon it. Below are a list of requirements prior to auditioning.

Have fun, really the only requirement. Every voice is pretty open to interpretation but keep in mind that these are gods, titians and beings of extraordinary power, so they should sound as such. If they do, fantastic-- that's the goal. I look forward to hearing all your auditions!

If casted, you'll be invited to the Discord and lines will be distributed and we will do a read through as a group! Payment will be done via Paypal once lines are delivered! Audio effects are allowed, but do also have a sample without anything done to it.

Rodan, Ghidorah and Mothra have Second Auditions to complete. I want to thank everyone else who auditioned for these roles. It has been very tough to even narrow it down to those whom I've picked. Everyone is so talented that if I could support a full cast, many of you would be choosen. Again, thank you so much. Keep an eye out in the future for a possible sequel with more roles! 


Those of you who have been selected for the Second Audition, you will have a comment from me telling you about the new lines found in the audition for that respected character. Please submit an audition before July 20th to be considered for the role. Each of you had a unique take on the character that can work and now I want to see that you can contrast your acting. The lines given are much more personal to the characters and with that, I'd love to see where you all take it. Best of luck to all of you-- I can't wait to see what you come up with. 


Godzilla is incredibly difficulty to cast because of, again, the abundance of auditions and the many talented people. We are discussing whom we may cast, stay tuned! 


To anyone else, auditions will still be opened until the 20th, but I will primary be looking out for our callback candidates. Thank you so much everyone. It has been a very interesting audition process and the story awaits your voice!

  • Thank you to everyone!!

    This has probably been one of the hardest things I've had to do in awhile! To actually cast somebody in a project that is our own. As an actor, I know how it all feels but try, try again. Learn and grow from every opportunity! We finally have our entire line-up for the Godzilla Audio Drama project!! I'm excited to announce our casting is as followed. Godzilla - BattleshipErnest King Ghidorah - Dashrunner Mothra - KerstynUnger Rodan - Yon Shady Glenn Ghidorah Voice - Celina_VO_Sauce These talented actors took their lines and gave them life, as much as so many others who auditioned. It was tough to bring it in as much as It was needed. One of the things I was looking for was levels, dynamics, and those sweet acting skills. Do not let this discourage you, however. There is a very high chance that there will be a follow up tale that will have an even wider line up of characters! Again, thank you to everyone who followed this project and brought in their audition. It has been a tough one. I hope you are all as excited as I am to see the release in the future.   • Incredible submissions!

    There are a vast amount of talented people who are auditioning for this project. Due to some time constraints on my end, the deadline was been moved forward to the 14th to allow for a few more submissions. The script is completed and the ball is rolling. There is a possibility that some other positions may open up based on the need but as it stands, the four roles are the main ones that will be introduced. If it is successful and viewership enjoys the concept, a second could be released further down the line, which will include a more abundant cast. I am happy to say that all of the roles have very high quality voices to choose from and that I wish I could give you all roles. Godzilla is the main protagonist of this story-- massive in size and a force to be reckoned with.
His voice is deeper and has a rumble to it perhaps. This voice primary is open to interpretation, though he must sound powerful and benevolent.

  • (Mournful) I cannot go on like this... Everything I have fought for crumbles. They (Ghidorah) are far too powerful... One wrong move and they will have me falling from the stars. I will not survive... Not like this. I must rest. 

  • (Angered, Confident) Do not lie to them! You are a false God! You may have fooled them, but you have not fooled me. Your deceitful reign will end by my hands, Ghidorah... No where to run this time.  

  • (Speaking Casually) And what am I to do if the others refuse? They shall come and it will only be the two of us. You truly believe we stand a chance?

King Ghidorah is an ultimate being set on destroying the planet to form his own habitat. He is the main antagonist of the story and may sound very close to Smaug of The Hobbit.
They are titan full of rage and anger-- feeling destined to be King of the Monsters. They are far more powerful than any of the others and they are well aware of that.

I may select multiple voices for each head of the dragon, so keep this in mind when auditioning. If you'd like to do three different voices for each one in your audition, that would be most impressive to hear!  

  • (Surprised) You have not aged a day, we see. Perhaps time has been too kind to you. Time for the real force of nature to take its toll. 

  • (During Battle, Struggling) You dare defy us, insect? Set your feet to the ground so that we may tear them off you limb from limb! 

  • (Ordering) Bring forth your rage! You have slumbered long enough! Bring me my home that we so rightfully deserve... As your King, we order you.

    CALLBACK AUDITION LINES 

    “As if you would know how it feels to be torn apart again and again, limbs being burnt by the very stars you worship so much… The pain I endured. The horrors I’ve seen. For what? I was bestowed this world for a reason… When I came, I was weak. My body worn from the agony of that place… And he saw us only as a threat. Something to eliminate. I sought refuge and HE banished me, HE never gave me a chance! (Pause) But no longer… For now on… We. Are. King.”

    DIRECTION: Ghidorah is misunderstood, but his actions are only due to what he deems to be true. As a literal descendant from the heavens, Ghidorah is unnatural to the ecosystem and was immediately attacked by Godzilla long ago. However, Ghidorah survived and, unbeknownst to Godzilla, had been waiting for the day he could finally return and begin his mission: To carve the world in his favor and forget the pains of his past.

    (Keep in mind that "I" and "We" have usages that are intentional. There is an internal conflict between the heads that is touched upon in the story itself and I don't want to go too much into detail, but the usage is intentional.)

The wise and efflorescent beauty that is Mothra. Open to many interpretations of the voice, though she may be a moth but she is the foundation of order, Queen of The Monsters. 

  • (Consoling , Wise) They are no King! Were you dead or alive, that would remain and hold true. Now get up. We have not lost yet. 

  • (Agitated) I am no servant-- I am a Queen! You are a slave to a false King! Do not underestimate me, Rodan. 

  • (Injured, Weakened) I... I will always stand by my King...

    CALLBACK AUDITION LINES 

    “And what are you to do when he says he does not need you anymore? Where will you go? You think he will just let you leave? He. Will. Kill you. What do you not understand?! I am trying to help you, Rodan. Please… You were once /my/ friend... You can be better than this, do not make me do this! I do not want to do this!”

     DIRECTION: Mothra is like the noble queen who agonizes at having to watch her Kingdom fall to pieces. Imagine her knights turned against her, friends whom she trusted so much-- Now pitted against her and she holds the blade now. As much as she may have to do what is necessary, she hopes her words can speak true through her former ally.

Rodan is a powerful Pteranodon Titian under the influence of Ghidora, unable to defy his King-- He is under his command.
The voice is open to interpretation.

  • (Speaking) As you wish, Ghidorah-- Forgive me... King!... Ghidorah. 

  • (Agitated) You are nothing but a nuisance, a servant to that desperate fool! You should have stayed the useless worm you always were! 

  • (Intimidating) And it's only a matter of time before your wings burn to ash-- and when they do, I'll eat you alive. 


    CALLBACK AUDITION LINES 

    “(Weakened state) I always imagined that one day, the stars would grow brighter and brighter until we could see all the things the heavens hid…(He takes a weakened breath) But I never quite imagined that it would be so cold…. And dark… It hurts… My dear, It hurts more than I thought possible… How do you do it?...To live and die… never ending. Does it not scare you? It… it frightens me.”

    DIRECTION: Rodan had broken free of his trance, but at what cost? He has always been the one to defend Godzilla but his mind was driven by a force unknown to him. Having broken free, he feels life fleeting away from him. He speaks to Mothra and ponders his fate, searching for comfort in her. Much of his initial dialogue is from a place that is not him. Now he's broken free and his regrets flood his heart. I want to see the contrast in your acting ability.
