Project Overview

LOOKING FOR VOICE ACTORS SKILLED IN CHARACTER ACTING!! This is a short film and all roles have less than 300 words!

Dave's 8th birthday party has to be held at Fredbear's Family Diner against his wishes because his father co-owns the place and needs to work. His older brother, Michael (13) was given the task of watching him while his father is busy, but instead decides to play a cruel prank on him, resulting in a gruesome accident.

[This work is an introduction to a larger project titled 'Five Nights at Freddy's: The Afton Family" which is an animated fan film that goes over my interpretation of the FNaF game lore, scheduled to be worked on in 2026.]

NOTE: You will record your lines late mid-late July, so there may be changes to the script in the meanwhile. Your pay MAY increase if your role receives additional lines, but under no circumstances can it decrease.

I'm looking for the following:

  • Actors that are 18+ that speak/understand fluid English and are able to communicate.

  • Actors who feel comfortable preforming and can preform confidently without the lines feeling awkward or unnatural.

  • Actors that can deliver clear audio (no background noises like rustling/static, voice is clear trough your microphone).

    The character acting in this project is ridiculously important, it's not easy work, which is why you're being paid for 1-2 hours despite the script being so short. Please give it your all in your auditions! I will listen to 100% of every one of them, so make it as long as you'd like.

When you are hired you will:

  • Work with a storyboard and script which provides context on either situation or emotions that are relevant, to assist you in getting the lines right! You will be expected to including at least 1 retake; for this work it's very important that emotions are conveyed correctly, so if it's off I will ask you to record an additional retake with my guidance.

  • Receive payment via Paypal friend's & family at delivery OR invoice (unless I can pay directly via CCC? First time on here, haven't got a clue.)

Q&A:

Can I audition for multiple roles?

Yes!! You can be cast for multiple roles as well, so go crazy.

What will be done with my voice lines?

If you are cast, your audition lines may be used to promote the casting on twitter. Your paid lines will be published on YouTube.

Where is the bonnie mask bully?

He was cast off site, so I did not include him.

Will any other roles close before the deadline?

No.

I do want to say that I am doing absolutely everything I can to pay mid-high tier indie rates for every role. This is a personal passion fan project that I'm paying for entirely out of my own pocket and is not intended to generate any profit.     Have you been dismissed and are curious as to why? Here is a list of reasons as to why people were dismissed:

    • Noticeably poor microphone quality or background noise that causes voice to sound out of place

    • AI generated submission (I didn’t even know that was possible before this)

    • (for william) Lack of key character traits such as british accent, subtle growl/bass in the back of throat

    • Just character compatibility (most fell short here)

    • Unnatural flow / acting (Lines or accent sounding forced or out of place, such as “daddy” for William shouldn’t sound like an inappropriate word)

    • Lewd submissions (For charlie?? Really guys??)

    • Starting your audition with “I am 13 years old” on an 18+ casting 

    • Harassing or discouraging other voice actors in their comments (looking at one guy in particular)

    • Lack of acting as a whole (just reading the lines out loud), holding your breath while saying the lines (leading to an exhale at the end of every sentence), or writing “my audition is awful / I won’t get this role" in your submission

    • Completely butchering lines and not correcting them (not u, that one specific charlie actor, ur a cutie patootie)

    • Speaking so quietly that I cannot hear / speaking really slowly

    • Submitting auditions with voice effects 

    • Being inactive on CCC for 2+ months



    There were a lot of people that were very difficult for me to dismiss as well. Overall, I was very impressed! There were loads or submissions where the only issue was general character compatibility. All of you did a wonderful job, so if you’d like to try again in the future, keep an eye open for my next listing! I should have at least 70 more roles available for the main project.

    The shortlisting period for B83 has pushed the original schedule back by 1 day so I can review the last few submissions carefully! Currently 8 people have been shortlisted. The last few shortlistings will be made on the 8th <3

  • Shortlisting, assigning and recording schedule

    Dear voice actors,

    Starting today, the first round of actors will be shortlisted or dismissed! Everyone will be given the same opportunities as all submissions will be listened to start to finish. Each will be discussed by me and my dear assistant so nothing will get mindlessly thrown out. Shortlisting will take place from the 5th till the 7th.

    Then starting the 8th (till the 10th) I will carefully go trough all shortlisted submissions to find the most suitable actor!

    I'm working hard to set everything up, so when you are assigned, the recording period is officially from the 22nd - 31st depending on your availability (Star roles total recording time is listed at a maximum of 2 hours but is expected to take less. Smaller roles such as the nurse and employee will of course take a lot less time.)

    So to sum it up:

    Shortlisting : 5th - 7th of July

    Assigning roles : 8th - 10th of July

    Recording : 22nd - 31st of July

Michael Afton is a 13 year old boy (sounds 14-16). Mike is a bully that speaks over others and generally just behaves kind of awfully due to his own insecurities (Like he's genuinely a piece of shit, not misunderstood). At the end of this story, his character changes dramatically from a bully into a scared angsty teenager. He is an emotionally complicated character, so I'm looking for an actor who is skilled in character acting! Michael may not be the main character in this section, but he is by far the MOST important role to get right. His role in this story has around 100 words, but you will be required to include at least 1 retake as well as some additional lines. It's very important that this characters emotions are portrayed correctly.

Dave whines and cries a lot. He has trouble regulating his emotions, so he's bit here and there. He has a boyish child voice and speaks with a light British accent.


As a character, I'd say he's rather complicated, he is smart enough to definitely see that nobody is willing to pay attention to him which frustrates him, but at the same time he's rather childish and cowardly, crying and freezing when he's in a situation he doesn't want to be in. His character changes dramatically after death, but that is currently irrelevant. In the end, he's just a barley 8 year old little kid that wants affection and to eat cake on his birthday.


He has less than 150 words, but you are expected to include retakes so that his emotions are portrayed accurately! He also has some extra lines.

He has a decent presence in the story, being the father of our two leads. He has less than 150 words, but you will be asked to record a few additional lines as well as include at least 1 retake. 


William Afton is the main antagonist in Five Night's at Freddy's, but at this point of the story he's just a man that loves children and entertainment but lacks in the parenting category. He is somebody that manipulates the situation and plays with emotions; in this story he's only using it to get his son to not run off, lol. He has a very soothing, smooth fatherly voice! He cares very much about how the people around him perceive him. He wants to be seen as smart and clean. William has an incredible canon voice actor, I'm hoping to find somebody who can pull it off! PJ Heywood, his canon VA, also did an interview with youtuber "Dawko" on YouTube where he goes into his role as William Afton, for those extra determined to get this role.

Context : In this scene, his depravity and frustrations have reached their peak. He is luring a child with the promise of letting her see her dog again, with the intension of killing her. This is a canon written line in Five Nights at Freddy's.
