Flow'er? I Hardly Know'er! - Episode 1
Project Overview
Introduction
This is an animated series inspired by the Kirby Games. I'm using this to practice every step of the animation development process. This won't be the only casting call. At some point, I'll need a sound designer, but at this stage, I only need voice actors and singers. This is the sequel to another animated series I made called "Kirby Your Enthusiasm." Feel free to watch that if you want to know where this story began. Here is a link to the original series: Flow'er? I Hardly Know'er! - Official Animated Opening
Payment
I don't actually know for sure if work will only take an hour or not, but the episode is only about seven minutes long. I can only pay up to the maximum value that I set as the payment amount.
Auditions
This casting call is only for episode 1 content, but there were more episodes planned. If you join the project, I will probably ask you to return for any future episodes which include your characters voices. The full script is already written. If you need any help with voice direction, just ask me. There are no plans to extend the deadline.
What to expect
If you're selected, I'll send an invite to the development discord server. There, you can post your recordings, ask for voice direction, and I'll be able to give you a copy of the episode's script!
What is expected
Have fun with it, this is a passion project after all. Please submit clean recordings without noise pollution.
There is a possibility, you may be able to voice act for your chosen characters for the entire series. We'd encourage you to stick around. I expect this series to be about nine episodes total.
Release date?
Animation takes a long time; I have no idea how long it will take me to finish after I get all your voices. It took three years to complete my last big episode, but that one was 24 minutes long, with a massive three phase fight scene. This one is only about seven minutes long, and no fight scene is present. It should take much less time to create. The animatic/storyboards are already completed for the whole episode. I'm not currently looking for co animators yet.
Time is running out to audition!
It's been a week since auditions opened. I'm going to start filling roles one by one over the course of the last week. It may not be possible to audition for any role you want starting now, as the options are going to narrow, some roles should still be available until the last day.
The final day
It's the last day, all remaining roles will be filled shortly before the deadline, so don't wait till the last minute. I'd say there are actually only five hours left.
When you are logged in, you can comment, add submissions, create projects, upvote, search open roles, and way more. Login here.
I already wrote lyrics, but I'm open to some feedback. The instrumental is already finalized. The villain song is a "bop," but it's not a skibidi bop. It's great, trust me. Although, while he wrote the lyrics himself, it's not supposed to be sung by the villain himself. It will be sung by his followers. The villain song is meant to be a "chant" with a mostly consistent rhythm. This detail may be important to consider.
This role is now closed. Just so you all know, I loved so many of your auditions. It was very hard to choose. Even if you didn't get the part, at least I got to hear some awesome music you made.

You'd voice the popular Kirby Character Taranza. In this story, he has become king of Floralia. I head cannon that his voice sounds like Stolas as portrayed in Helluva Boss, so consider doing something similar.

Isn't the weather lovely today Sectonia?
What self-respecting monarch would say such drivel?
She's the great queen Sectonia before she became evil. She's the opposite of her malevolent alter ego, but she's still beauty obsessed.

He's the main antagonist. He was a simp for Sectonia, the late queen. He considers Taranza a romantic rival. He wants to conquer Floraila for himself. While he might be easy to not take too seriously, he can also be a competent villain when he needs to. Even so, he still values honor. His voice should sound similar to King Andrias from Amphibia.

Our Ruler must be someone who’s both feared and loved. Taranza is worthy of neither.
I’ll crush his puny head in my mandibles!
Only I, Anopheles the Great, can save us all.
Crocus is King Taranza's royal advisor. She's just a little bit prejudiced, but her heart is in the right place. Kind of. She has the range to be mildly funny, and cold and calculated at the same time.

They will become ungovernable if you don't do as I say.
You... Didn't rehearse it... Did you?
Hey Spuder! It's almost time for your coronation!
She's the deuteragonist from the original Kirby anime. She makes a brief cameo appearance in this episode. Her voice should sound like, her voice from the 4kids dub of the original Kirby anime. However, she's an adult in this series, so she might sound a bit more grown up.

Tell me more about that!
My name's Tiff
He makes a short cameo appearance. He seems like a jerk, but he loves his mother. You can do whatever you want for his voice, just so long as it's "ultra-masculine" and "generic action hero" style.

every one lovers Hupert. He gets two lines and never appears explicitly again. I said "he", but "he" can have any kind of voice you want. He's a security guard, so a slightly tough vibe might be best.

Paul only says: "Taranza has negative skibidi rizz, and he's smelly." Then he never says anything else ever again.

Everyone needs a few crowds in their projects. You may wonder why this is its own role. It's because, despite the indistinct noises from the crowd. There will be some actual lines in there.
