Casting process
Well Everyone I'm going to go through the process of casting, Thank you everyone who auditioned and I hope audition was as fun for you as listening to the auditions was for me.
Fifty Shades of Black Lagoon (black Lagoon Abridged one shot)
Project Overview
Black Lagoon is a fairly old anime that my friends and I greatly enjoy, we decided to have some fun on the side of my main project and make a one shot abridged parody of the show. This will take place over the second episode of the anime and only really need a few characters. The characters we will need are as follow: Rock, Benny, The mercenary and his co-pilot. Each is given a significant role in this short parody so there are no extra or minor characters.
If you are cast; There will be a script read through and scheduled live direction to help with lines and delivery, but I want each actor to feel like they can have fun with the role so the direction is more of a guideline than law.
Requirements:
Minimum a blue yeti quality Microphone. Though XLR is prefered
Discord
Must be comfortable with cursing and profanity
Minimum one day a week to record/ script readthrough/ live direction

Voice Detail: I had in mind a slower, stupid, patrick star like tone to his voice.
In this recreation of the character Rock is an idiot, like dropped on the head as a baby idiot. He emotes very loudly and says whatever comes to the top of his head without hesitation. Rock should say things bluntly and not understand the words coming out of his mouth.
Man fuck this! I don’t wanna be a pirate anymore, I thought it would be skeleton fights, talking deer and anime tiddies. Instead it’s all scurvy, attack helicopters and disappointment!
Uh I mean. [Pause] What if [ Pause] We throw the boat at him?
Awesome, because I’m pretty sure I just helped you guys steal super expensive shit from my boss and I just killed a guy.

Voice Detail: I imagine benny with the most slight southern american accent. Like someone who was born in texas but hasn't lived there for years. he should say "ain't" but doesn't have the full southern drawl
Benny in his parody should sound like a beaten down nerd, Revy picks on him, Dutch picks on him. He's a smart ass and is lazy, have fun being snarky and sounding sad.
That boy is as dumb as a god damn Rock.
I’m on board let’s just shoot him in my room, I’ll just bleach the sheets.
Is that why my room smells so bad? I was thinkin’ it was the week old noodle cups but that makes a lot more sense.

Voice Detail: I wrote th mercenary with the speak paterns of Randy savage. But please don't do a randy savage impression. I was a deep threatening tone to his voice but with the self indulgence of a pro wrestler.
This character has next to no time on the screen in the anime but for this short he is the main atagonist. you should also feel comfortable with the voice as there is a large rant in the middle of the script for this character.
Son, you know what I like about my job?
when I get to sit on the beach sipping cheap beer with cheaper women, [Yells] AND MEN! [back to normal] Sometimes [pause] if the mood strikes.
I can sense them like a predator honing in on it’s prey, I see them with my minds eye and know they are coming even before you speak.

Voice Detail: I want a sort of average american voice
The pilot of the helicopter can only be seen breifly so your be playing a mostly disembodied voice while looking at the helicopter, The character is mostly just the straight man to the crazy that is Mr. Scar, so I was a less silly expression of voice when proforming him.
Holy shit, Really? That’s impressive. Well I mean it would be, I was just going to tell you we’re running low on gas.
Well fuck me you were right.
