Fever Dreams
Project Overview
Fever Dreams is a psychological political thriller set in a near-future society where control is no longer enforced through fear. It is embedded directly into the human body.
At the center of the story is the Bliss chip, a neural implant designed to regulate emotion, eliminate conflict, and create a more “stable” population.
On paper, it is salvation.
In reality, it is the most efficient system of control ever created.
The series follows Martinez, a young man who has spent his entire life feeling like he is being watched, long before the world gave him a reason to believe it.
When he is forcibly pulled into the system, that paranoia begins to feel less like a disorder and more like awareness.
Behind the system is Cicero Tullius, its architect. She is quiet, calculated, and absolute in her decisions.
Publicly, the nation is led by Minister Boare, a charismatic figurehead who unites the country through strength and certainty.
Beneath that image is a fragile balance of power, where loyalty, fear, and manipulation dictate who survives.
As the population becomes increasingly compliant, resistance does not disappear. It mutates.
Small fractures begin to form, and the system begins to evolve faster than its creators can control.
This is not a story about overthrowing a government.
It is about what happens when the system works exactly as intended.
Tone & Style:
Fever Dreams is grounded and tension-driven, focusing on dialogue, subtext, and psychological pressure rather than constant action. The goal is to create a controlled, cinematic experience where every scene carries weight.

Role Type: Lead / Main Antagonist Role
Character Description:
Cicero Tullius is calm, intelligent, elegant, and deeply controlled. She does not need to raise her voice to dominate a room. Her authority comes from precision, certainty, and the quiet belief that she is already several steps ahead.
Cicero should feel composed and intentional, never chaotic. She can appear polite, even gentle, but there should always be something dangerous underneath. Her power is not loud. It is measured, final, and absolute.
She is not a cartoon villain. She is not theatrical. She is not emotionally messy. Her menace comes from restraint.
Vocal Direction:
We are looking for a grounded, controlled performance with quiet authority.
Cicero should sound:
composed
intelligent
precise
elegant
quietly dangerous
emotionally restrained
certain of herself
difficult to shake
She should not sound exaggerated, unstable, or melodramatic.
Performance Notes:
Cicero’s control is her weapon.
She rarely needs to show anger. When she is displeased, her voice should become quieter, colder, and more precise — not louder.
Her delivery should feel like she has already decided the outcome before the conversation begins.

“And what kind of benevolent leader would I be… if I punished my own people for wanting freedom?”
The future doesn’t ask for consent. Neither do I
One bullet. One chance.
Role Type: Lead Role
Character Description
Martinez is guarded, intelligent, and emotionally restrained. He carries a constant awareness that he is being watched, but he is not irrational or delusional. He is tense because he has reason to be tense.
He often sounds like someone trying very hard not to lose control. His anger is usually controlled, quiet, and sharp — until the pressure becomes too much and it cracks.
Martinez should feel grounded, natural, and psychologically pressured. He is not trying to sound cool, edgy, or intimidating. His danger comes from fear, intelligence, and control under pressure.
Vocal Direction:
We are looking for a natural, grounded performance with emotional restraint.
Martinez should sound:
guarded
tense
intelligent
emotionally controlled
quietly intense
exhausted beneath the surface
aware that he is being watched
He should not sound theatrical, cartoonish, or exaggerated.
Performance Notes:
Martinez is not “cool because he is angry.”
He is dangerous because he is scared, cornered, and still thinking.
His emotional state should feel controlled until it breaks through. Even when he panics, it should feel real and human — not like exaggerated screaming.
