About Stephan Bellesini

I am a veteran cross-disciplinary Director, Supervising Animator, and Technical Pipeline Engineer with over 20 years of professional industry experience. My career began in the era of traditional paper-and-pencil animation (the legacy Don Bluth and vintage Disney traditions of weight, expression, and anatomy) before I transitioned into 3D production when Maya 1.0 launched.

Because of this dual-mastery, I bridge the gap between complex narrative performance and technical pipeline efficiency. I write C++ and Python, and I even built my own proprietary rendering engine, MassPoly, to deliver fast, studio-grade visual look-development with minimal overhead. As a published novelist, I also serve as a structural anchor for narrative development, storyboarding, and script doctoring.

Whether a project requires fluid hand-drawn 2D keyframing, hybrid 2.5D layouts, or full cinematic 3D pre-visualization, I specialize in keeping character performances strictly on-model and keeping independent production timelines optimized.

Pricing

I work exclusively on a professional contract basis. For independent projects, short films, or pitch pilots, I do not utilize standard entry-level hourly rates. Instead, I operate on a fixed-rate Milestone Package or a Weekly/Monthly Consulting Retainer model.
Baseline general rates:
• Weekly Supervising/Pipeline Retainer: $500 - $750 USD / week (Covers 10-15 hours of direct pipeline supervision, keyframe setup, and team mentoring).
• 30-Second Promotional/Funding Teaser Package: $3,000 - $5,000 USD.
• Master Style Guide / Performance Bible: $1,500 - $2,500 USD.

What Stephan Bellesini is looking for

I joined Casting Call Club to connect with ambitious independent studio leads, directors, game developers, and novelists who have a clear creative vision but lack the high-level pipeline infrastructure or animation mastery to execute it.
I am looking for grounded narrative projects (2D, 3D, or hybrid 2.5D) that require a senior, steady anchor to handle or supervise production. My ultimate goal is to collaborate remotely with financed creators to build high-end animated shorts, cinematic book trailers, or studio-grade pitch teasers that successfully secure mainstream network backing, crowdfunding campaigns, or international distribution.
