Female Monologue for Proof-of-Concept Animation Piece
Project Overview
This project is an animation currently under development. To produce a proof of concept trailer is the main intention of this casting call, and the intended product is structured around an extensive young female (teenager, 18-20) monologue to frame the content. Prerequisites for applying would be strong communication skills (ideally no days without contact), and a young female voice capable of delivering a dynamic and striking emotional monologue (Australian / American accent, preferably neutral). Opportunity to be continually involved in the full project development may be possible if initial proof-of-concept is successful.

Female monologuer is a teenage girl, and the monologue goes through several dramatic shifts as a confrontational speech to her mother. There are aspects of fear, anxiety, anger, dependency, despair, and being able to shift quickly between these tones and emotions is important. Accent can be Australian / American, but it would be best to be as neutral as possible. If chosen for the role
I know you best by what you never gave me. You probably find it easier now that I've "left you alone". But you can't leave me yet. (exasperated, weary)
(questioning, pointed) What life did you want? *pause* (angry, confrontational) What a destroyer I was, unknowingly scattering your dreams while you gave me life.
(begging) Tell me it was for a great purpose. That there was pride in that unknowable expression.
