Fazfreak Circus -- Extended

Fazfreak Circus -- Extended

Project Overview

PINNED: Announcement 18/07/16 -- Employing ASSISTANT DIRECTOR:

I need YOUR help! If you're first and foremost passionate about this project and you don't feel like you have the voice to contribute, but still want to be an important part of this project, do PM or email me after reading this announcement!

Role:

- Book timings with VAs for sessions, and at times direct them when needed with instructions provided from the head director herself.

- Help organising, picking out and negotiating new potential cast and even editing it at some point, even creating casting calls for new roles.

Requirements:

1. Passionate; first and foremost interested in FC and genuinely concerned about the project's development.

2.Diligent; Actions speak louder than words and paperwork. Those with previous leadership/directing experience can consider themselves having an advantage with this role.

3. Communicative; Able to compromise/solve situations to VAs and the director herself. Best if you're a people manager.

4. Best if you can use basic Office software and Adobe Creative Cloud software, but that's a supplement.

If you are interested, please send me an email via [redacted] or directly contact me via Skype: pan_drake. We'll come in for a little interview. Bring along your work if possible.

Introduction:

"Fazfreak Circus" is an animation series inspired by Scott Cawthon's hit indie horror series "Five Nights At Freddy's".  It has 6 episodes, each running for 25 to 35 minutes.

The story follows a snarky, quick-witted journalist Mike Schmidt who goes undercover as a night guard at Freddy Fazfreak's Circus to investigate and expose its woes as an attempt to shut down the circus once and for all. However, the dangers there are much more than simply getting caught undercover... [really though? ;)]

The animatronics from the original game are now presented as literal human performers in this animated series.

This is the extension part to "Fazfreak Circus". I wanted to put an extension array of characters so I can separate the mains from the sideliners/cameos.

As usual, the rules and guidelines are the same.

Requirements:

1. Your voice sample should be in WAV. format.

2. Keep out as much background noise and fuzz from your sample as possible. Recording in a quiet, soundproof room with a fuzz-filtering microphone is ideal, though it's not required for the audition. I just need your samples as clean as possible so I can hear out the depth and range of your voice.

3. State your true name in your sample. I need to know who you are. Plus, if you're picked, you could get your name in the credits!

4. I can't believe I didn't type this. I'd prefer you to be 16 or over to participate in this project.

Latest Updates

  • Update on Pacings of FC!

I understand it's been a LONG while since I've ever managed to use or do anything around here. I apologize for making this place unkempt for...3 months? Yep, pretty much.  I've been dealing with a lot of real life and it's proven to be a challenge to both transistion from a university student to a full time worker, as well as getting some healthcare stuff organized.

I'm going to spare the grittier details, but since this is an ongoing thing until hopefully early next year, it's best that I keep you all updated for what's going on and why things are taking long in general. Don't get me wrong. I ABSOLUTELY want to finish this, and I've been made aware that I'm falling behind by MILES. So, thing is, what's going on? I currently work full time in childcare, and BOY that JOB, it tires you out like hell. I'm not complaining though since I actually enjoy being with kids and that IS my choice to work a job that requires me to face people ALL the time. Moreover, I am looking forward to move house by this year's end so lots of things to get done! This being said, the only real times you're going to catch me in a better state of mind is during weekends, and that's for NOW since this may be updated ANY time.

I'm updating this on a Saturday, so I'm going to log out for now!

    Peace!

  • Fazfreak Circus Extended Update!

I haven't really updated in while so let me just do that for mo' before I descend into art hell once more.

I've made this page for the side roles since the main roles are finally done and over with, but this time I'm not letting work and time take over me, and reduce the auditioning time to hopefully around three months. So, if you're here, remember to ALWAYS READ THE GUIDELINES.

I've had some pretty unsatisfactory auditions in the main ones and now I need to hunt down some names because I'm really nice. Honest, so always do before submitting your posts. If you need a recall, here it is:

    1. State your true name in the sample.

    2. WAV. format. Get used to it. That's how you send your clips to me for editing unless you use...a Mac? Usually I edit my work in Adobe Audition and WAV. is almost a bit like the sound world's PNG...if that's an important feature. Otherwise either that's a preference or fact, but it seems that Premiere prefers my WAV. files more than anything.

    3. Clean, clear samples -- because there were a few that were...difficult.

Otherwise, everything you need to know is on the main page. Thanks!

Head laborer of FC (then late recruitment manager), has a rare eye condition that he simply conceals with sunglasses (Well either way, he's a subtle physical freak). Personality wise, he ranges from on-screen Gordon Ramsay to Hearty Soulful. There is no in between. His voice has obvious roughness (from shouting too much) though still soulful.

EDIT: Randy's Black...if that helps.

  • "Hey, I'm Randy, the head laborer in the house. Got any questions, just hit me up with 'em. How everything works here is easy, you come to your shift, and spend a couple 'o hours grinding down-to-earth style. Make sure you're up for the pain of your job as well. But *sigh* 'scuse me for a moment, sir. (1 second pause) EXCUSE ME, QUIT PLAYIN' AROUND! ARE YOU GOING TO SIGN YOUR FIRING PAPERS FOR ME? *sigh* Sorry, where were we?"

It's best that I don't provide a portrait for this one to save youse from juicy spoilers.

First and foremost, look up Broca's Aphasia.  This will give you an understanding of how the Captain talks. Though he's a mute character, he does has have a few lines and makes all kinds of sounds.

Hence my requirement is, using the standard casting call club's line "Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for joining us today!", say it as you would as if you were a sufferer of Broca's Aphasia.

OPTIONAL:

I would like to be provided with an improv/ad-lib line of introducing "yourself" as Captain Fox to a child. Your time limit is 20 seconds.

  • "Ladies and Gentlemen, thank you for joining us today!"

  • (Improv/Ad-Lib Self-Introduction Addition -- Optional)

Investigator, used to investigate FC before Mike. Also Mike's childhood friend, former classmate and fellow graduate. Father of two and a husband. Has a personal demon he hides from Mike, Marley, his family and his relatives. Sounds like a decent, reliable man; capable but modest. Can be slightly sultry or tired. Extra points if it sounds slightly Southern.

  • "Hey, I'm Paul Carson, and I work as an investigator. I'm going on a mission right now, and...it's all business. No worries! As a matter of fact, with the extra salary after the mission, I know I'm going to get my life back! I'm sure of it! I just have to...succeed. Geez, Paul, it's not like you're going to fail."

Nurse at Fazfreak Circus. Cold but not entirely emotionless. Her way of speech is mostly monotone and forensic (not robotic and boring, keep in mind). Avoid being high pitched.Could be a bit of challenge. Suits best with a refined, smooth voice texture.

  • "You're injured. You need treatment immediately, not because your wound is fatal, but due to possible contamination of the wound since it's rather deep. You wait here while I get some equipment. (1 - 2 second break) In fact, if you were wondering about my name, my name is Darlene White. Obviously I am just a nurse, in case if you thought I was something else."

Lawyer, Mike and Paul's friend and fellow graduate. Likes money. Loves to complain but has the realization that he has to work like a dog to enjoy things in life. Nonetheless a loyal caring friend though money can get in the way. A constant high-low character. Try thinking of a more vibrant character, best if it's a tad bit over neutral -- like a natural salesman. Suits best with a smoother voice texture.

  • "Howdy! Barrister Marley Freeman here. I'm a lawyer and one of Mike's best buds. Got a case, hand it over to me. Even Mike finds me for help! And you wonder where those amazing reports come from! You got it darling! It's me! Barrister Marley Freeman! Call 1-800...1-800. What? Uh...that's...that's the wrong number. Dammit."
