FATHOM is a multi-mode horror experience built around the remains of a dead megastructure and the world it left behind.
At the center of everything lies Fathom Labs: Technology and Innovation—a colossal research facility suspended deep within Hollow Earth. Once a place of relentless experimentation, the lab is now dead. Not abandoned. Not dormant. Dead.
The structure no longer functions as intended. Its systems have collapsed, its purpose is gone, and whatever intelligence may have once controlled it is silent. What remains is a massive, rotting shell of concrete, metal, and fused organic matter—a body without a mind. Hallways stretch endlessly through its interior, rooms sit frozen in the state they were left in, and entire sections have begun to decay, collapse, or distort in ways that suggest the lab itself is breaking down at a fundamental level.
This is where the primary experience takes place.
In the Doors-based mode, players descend through the corpse of Fathom Labs, moving room by room through its remains. They are not there to escape—they are there to salvage. Sent in as expendable operatives, players collect fragments of research, data, and physical remnants from a place that was never meant to be reopened. The deeper they go, the more intact—and more dangerous—the discoveries become. The lab does not actively hunt them, but it is far from safe. Its structure is unstable, its contents were never fully contained, and some things did not die with it.
Every door opened is another step deeper into something that has already ended.
Outside of Hollow Earth, the consequences of Fathom’s existence are still unfolding.
On the surface, the world has entered a state of collapse following an unknown fallout event tied to the lab. Civilization has fractured, and what remains of humanity is scattered across a decaying, hostile environment. This is explored through the open-world mode, a wide, desolate reconstruction of the United States where players uncover the aftermath. Cities stand empty, infrastructure has failed, and the environment itself feels altered. Evidence of evacuation attempts, failed containment efforts, and mass casualties is everywhere. The world is not just abandoned—it is irreversibly changed.
Amid this collapse, remnants of organized groups attempt to rebuild control, leading to the creation of controlled combat environments.
The round-based PvP mode exists as a surface-level response to the new world. Survivors are placed into structured combat programs designed to train them into effective soldiers. Unlike the dead lab below, these systems are active—built by what remains of humanity rather than by Fathom itself. Participants fight in repeatable arenas, honing reflexes and combat efficiency in preparation for threats that now exist outside containment. It is less about competition and more about survival conditioning in a world where weakness is no longer sustainable.
Finally, the parkour run-and-gun mode represents direct engagement with those threats. Players move rapidly through hostile environments filled with infected individuals—people who have been altered by exposure to whatever spread after Fathom’s collapse. These sequences are fast, aggressive, and unforgiving, emphasizing momentum and precision. They reflect the reality of the surface: survival is no longer slow or methodical. It is immediate, violent, and constant.
Across all modes, a single truth connects everything:
Fathom is gone.
But what it created, released, or uncovered didn’t die with it.
The facility rots in the depths, its secrets still buried within its corpse, while above, the world struggles to survive the aftermath. Players are left moving between these two states—digging into the past below, and fighting through the consequences above—slowly realizing that whatever ended Fathom may not be finished yet.

Designation: D-227Codename: "David" Real Name: Dr. David L. Petersen
(Lead Role)
Voice Sound Alike : AM from I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream
Physical Description:
David is a grotesque fusion of human ingenuity and horrific mutation. His most striking feature is his "head," which is a massive, malformed hand. This grotesque appendage is unnervingly lifelike, with an eye embedded in the palm that constantly moves, surveying its surroundings. Surrounding the eye is the Star of David, glowing faintly, a detail that has baffled and unsettled those who encounter him.
His towering frame is draped in a dark blue suit accented with deep red lines, a chilling reminder of his former humanity and professionalism. He pairs this with dark brown pants and imposing knee-high black boots, their heavy soles echoing ominously in the facility's empty corridors.
David’s pale skin is waxy and almost translucent, emphasizing his unnatural state. His eyelashes, long and unnervingly dark, frame the eye in his hand-head, adding to his eerie, doll-like appearance. His left arm is a sleek robotic prosthetic, moving with a precision that suggests advanced engineering.
Psychological Profile:
David’s transformation has left him bitter and vengeful, harboring a deep resentment toward Fathom Technologies. Once a brilliant and respected scientist, he now views himself as a victim of their experiments and a symbol of their hubris.
Despite his bitterness, David is not overtly violent unless provoked. He operates with cold calculation, manipulating those around him with a mix of charm and menace. His ability to exploit weaknesses and orchestrate chaos makes him a master of psychological warfare.
David’s sarcasm and cutting wit are his weapons of choice, often leaving his victims disoriented and questioning their own sanity. He seems to derive a twisted satisfaction from the fear and confusion he causes, though whether this stems from malice or despair is unclear.
Abilities and Equipment:
1. Electromagnetic Pulses (EMPs):The eye in David’s hand-head emits powerful EMPs capable of disabling all electronic devices within a significant radius. These pulses disrupt communication, surveillance, and advanced weaponry, leaving his adversaries vulnerable.
2. Enhanced Perception: The eye in David’s hand-head provides him with an expanded field of vision and heightened awareness, allowing him to anticipate threats and exploit opportunities with uncanny precision.
3. Mechanical Expertise: David's background as a scientist has left him with unparalleled knowledge of technology. He can manipulate, sabotage, or repurpose almost any device he encounters, turning even the simplest tools into instruments of chaos.
4. Physical Resilience: David's robotic enhancements and mutations grant him increased durability. While not invulnerable, he can endure injuries that would incapacitate a normal human.
5. Psychological Manipulation: David's intellect and charisma make him a master manipulator. He uses his sharp tongue and deep understanding of human behavior to control and outwit those who oppose him.
Incident History:
David’s fall from grace began with an experiment involving electromagnetic fields that went catastrophically wrong. The resulting mutation turned his head into a massive hand, with an eye embedded in its palm. This transformation, combined with the psychological trauma of his condition, drove David to rebellion.
After escaping confinement, David began sabotaging the facility, releasing dangerous anomalies and disrupting critical systems. His motives remain unclear, though it is suspected he seeks revenge against those he blames for his transformation.
One of David’s most infamous acts was the release of multiple high-risk anomalies, causing a site-wide lockdown and resulting in numerous casualties. Despite his actions, David has shown no remorse, instead using the chaos to further his own goals.
David’s abilities and intellect make him a significant threat. Current containment protocols focus on minimizing his impact and preventing further sabotage:
Avoidance: Personnel are advised to steer clear of areas where communication and surveillance systems are disrupted, as this indicates David’s presence.
Non-Engagement: Direct confrontation with David is strongly discouraged.
Monitoring: Any sightings of David must be reported immediately, and all recovered items associated with him must be destroyed to prevent further sabotage.

"You'd want me to be you, wouldnt me?"
"Have fun... heheheheh..."
"YOU DAMN-! GAH!!!"
Her parents were exhausted by her, distant and detached, so when her older sister Solenne offered to take her “for the summer,” they agreed without hesitation. That summer became permanent.
Inside Fathom Labs: Technology and Innovation, the experiments began in infancy. Her growth wasn’t nurtured — it was adjusted. Neurology altered. Biology rewritten. By the time she could form real memories, she was already being shaped into something adaptive.
Solenne wanted to create something beyond human limitation.
Adrianne became a siren.
She developed perfect vocal mimicry. Any voice she hears, she can reproduce flawlessly — emotion, tone, even hesitation. But the process cost her something fundamental: she lost her own voice. There are no recordings of Adrianne speaking as herself. Only echoes of others.
She can shift her form subtly — posture, height, silhouette — enough to resemble, enough to deceive. Her eyes react unnaturally to light, widening in brightness and darkening at night. Every change was designed for survival.
Solenne eventually overdosed on her own experimental compounds. It happened in front of Adrianne.
After that, Solenne’s assistants took control. Oversight inside the lab had already deteriorated. What followed were years of continued “testing” that crossed lines long before the facility ever collapsed. Adrianne was treated less like a child and more like abandoned research.
She was nine years old when Fathom Labs fell.
Containment systems failed. Workers died. Rescue never reached the deepest levels.
Adrianne was left in the ruins.
For years, she survived alone. With no supply lines and no caretakers, her altered physiology adapted to whatever was available. Most of the time, that meant feeding on what the disaster left behind. In rare cases, survivors who wandered too deep did not return.
Not out of cruelty.
Out of design.
Officially, she is B-109 — a hostile adaptive entity.
But beneath the designation is a nine-year-old who was given away, reshaped, exploited, and abandoned.
She doesn’t speak in her own voice.
When you hear someone call your name in the dark halls of Fathom Labs, it will sound familiar.
It just won’t be her.
