Project Overview
Danganronpa: After Despair
Danganronpa: After Despair is a fangan game based off the original gaming series, Danganronpa. In other words, this is a non-profit game and no money will be distributed for any work done for this project since Danganronpa was NOT my original idea. All rights reserved.
WARNING: This has the same content warnings as the official danganronpa games. Mental Illness, violence, graphic content, etc. I am ideally seeking people the age of 14 or above, due to the story’s mature rating. This series is unpaid, due to it being a fan adaptation. To avoid legal issues, no profits will be made, nor dealt out. I am looking to hire people who do it out of passion and seek experience. This project will not take place in a high-end studio, but it will remain as professional as it can possibly be. I do not plan to slack off, nor do I expect you to. That being said, this doesn’t mean the environment is strict nor unfriendly. Feel free to be chill! Definitely a long term project, but this does not mean you will have to spend hours concentrating on it per week. If you have/would like to devote more time to the project, I am also seeking lead artists, editors, etc. To help direct that specific field and take on a larger workload. This is very much appreciated and helps me and my co-director.
Summary: A group of 16 students are taken and trapped within an old abandoned hospital. Not knowing how they got there, they all stumble inside the main foyer where they are all greeted by Monosnake, the owner of the hospital. He then introduces the killing game to them which frightens the poor group of teens. Will they be able to conquer through the despair that has been brought over them or will they give in to the despair and harm their own fellow classmates just for survival? Or will the mastermind get to them first?

It can be a goofy scene, a more serious scene, or even a body discovery scene (which can typically get very gore-y). Not typically as detailed as splash art, but definitely more detailed than normal sprite art.

Scripts for a fangan game are not an easy task. If you've played a Danganronpa game before, you'll know how long and intricate the dialogue and gameplay is. No script can be too long, however it can't be too short. In order to tell a story, that unfortunately requires a lot of in-detail storytelling, even if it means throwing in details that the player won't necessarily see while playing.

Rina Kawano [ r-ee-n-ah - kaa-waa-noh ]
Female (January 17)
Voice Range: High - Medium - Low (versatile); she is a pretty cheerful character so it should be shown through her emotions.
Meet the main attraction of the this story, Rina Kawano, the Ultimate Actress. Rina is the main protagonist of Danganronpa: After Despair. She is a very bubbly, outgoing kind of person. She prefers to wear simple clothing but will wear expressive, flashy clothing when the script calls for it or when she just feels like it. Even though she’s given the title “Ultimate Actress”, she tries to persuade people into calling her the “Ultimate Performer” since her mother was given the title of “Ultimate Actress” when she was in Class 65 of Hope’s Peak Academy. She also has to travel a lot with her mother because of her job which means her mother gets recognized by the people around her which causes Rina to get recognized, not by her own roles and what she’s performed in, but by what her mother has performed in, causing Rina to get more fame all because of her mother.

He is a very influential teen, leaving an impact on so many young, aspiring workers who plan to work in the same fields he does, however, he is often a quiet man and prefers to keep to himself.

The talent scouts were flown out overseas one day, hoping to find transfer students to fill their spots, and that’s when they ran into Amelia at one of her matches in America. They praised her for her incredible talent, bravery, and skills. They offer to fly her out to Japan to attend Hope’s Peak Academy as a transfer/overseas student.

Rikuto is a very serious person and takes a lot of things very seriously. He doesn’t really get sarcasm, so he takes a lot of things personally as well. But past all that, he has a really soft heart. He can be very outgoing and charismatic once you get to know him which helps provide more insight as to why he got into toy making in the first place. His goal is to be able to fulfill all of his friends' needs, but in the end, he doesn’t get to see all of his friends smile.

She began pursuing her interest as soon as she got her first lessons in SFX when she was nine, and after that, she began to improve so much throughout the years that she even got to help out in makeup effects in a horror TV show series she used to love to watch.
