Plot synopsis: Three students of Drifters Ridge High, all marred by varying circumstances, end up brought together by a club dedicated to investigating the strange occurrences of their small, superstitious hometown. Kavir, the somewhat socially ostracized paranormal fanatic, Sam, the quirky ex-theatre kid, and Justin, one of the school’s top dogs, aren’t exactly what you’d call fast friends. However, as they go around solving the mysteries brought to them by various classmates and even faculty, they begin to realize that they might all need each other more than they think… and that maybe all of Drifters Ridge, NJ might need them too.
Currently, we have a full production team based in Savannah, GA that includes actors that have already been cast for major supporting roles in the series. However, due to the nature of our resources in our initial casting calls, we did not manage to receive enough adequate auditions for some of our most important roles. We are seeking actors who would like to act remotely as any of these main roles, who at least loosely fit a similar description to the characters in ethnicity and language. As such, we REALLY do not wish to cast white (or non-arab white people, in the case of Sam) actors as any of these roles.

Accents or Languages: Auditioner MUST be able to speak fluent or semi-fluent Spanish. No accent required when speaking English. But obviously allowed.
18-19, cisgender, He/him, Mexican&Japanese-American, Bisexual
Character Description:
Justin is a bit of a handful, to say the least. It’s impossible to tell which version of him you’ll get at any given time. At home, he’s a loving dog-owner and family guy who spends most of his time working to support himself. But at school, and with his friends, he’s a menace and known as one of DRHS’s biggest delinquents. He may as well have slapped that badge of honor on himself, though, as ever since an incident from his childhood, he has embraced the label of troublemaker and blight on the peaceful town of Drifters Ridge.

Tch. That prick. Thinks he’s too great to make good on our deal, huh? Bad move. (To himself) Acting like a big boy all of a sudden. I should bring him back down to size.
Sólo algunas chicas al azar…
Whenever there’s an issue, we just— we never fucking talk about it. Even though you know we should. It’s like, you call me out here to what? Pacify me? Make sure I’m not mad at you the next time we talk? I mean seriously, you think you can bribe me with a slurpee?

17-18, cisgender, She/Her, American (With Middle Eastern/Arab Origins), Straight
Character Description:
Despite being known now as “the weird girl”, Sam used to be the belle of the DRHS theatre department. Even if she no longer renders audiences starstruck, She still keeps that vibrant theatre kid energy in most everything she does. She is friendly and peppy, with a pension for obscure media, weird jokes, and matchmaking. She takes particular interest in how everyone she grew up with is now, even if they are no longer friends.
Her best and closest friend is Brendan Choi, who has been her ride or die since she was adopted into the town as a toddler. Recently, the two of them have been growing apart. And that has left Sam with almost no idea what to do with herself.

You could work with it! You know? Cool, hip-with-the-teens contemporary Peter. Wearing chains… sagging his pants. Kinda like what the CW does with those Archer Comics.
(giggling) I Got it!! Hahaha, I got the ball! I grabbed it right at the last, hehehe, second.
You’re supposed to have play practice now, right? I say we tag along with you, scope the place out! Try and figure if there’s any… evil energy afoot.

Character Description:
Kavir keeps to himself as much as he possibly can. However, with college applications on the horizon and a lack of extracurriculars to brag about, he feels the need to start a new club to help boost his chances at a good school and in turn, solve his biggest moral dilemma: The lies he’s been telling his parents for nearly four years.
With a tendency to hyperfixate on specific tasks and subjects, primarily Robotics, Detective Novels, Urban Legends, and Ghosts, Kavir has been labeled as the “awkward” kid in school, warranting him harassment and pestering from his classmates. In his senior year, Kavir has only just started putting his foot down… but he doesn’t quite know how to.
Has a small robot named M3L0-D. Also known as Melody.

So… where does that leave us? The Astronomy Club? Pros: Wouldn’t have to buy a telescope. My cousin’s 2012 Ursa Refractor is fully intact. Cons: Ah! (Snap) Carlos Garcia is one of the secretaries. Absolutely not. I’ll never forget last year’s Chemistry Lab. Couldn’t get the taste of Acetone out of my mouth for days.
That’s it! I SURRENDER! I knew this wasn’t going to work! Who was I kidding? Hah! Of course nobody would show up. What an imbecile. Ugh. Forget it, I’m going ho—
Exactly the sort of thing we at the SPIA will be trying to figure out. I appreciate your eagerness... uh, what was your name?

I’m sorry, this idiot just doesn’t know when to shut up. Do you… still want to come with us?
I bet you killed him. And I’m not the only one who thinks that. Everyone talks about it. I keep hearing all the underclassmen whispering about you and your temper. How it might boil over at any moment. How they’re scared of you. And I’ve tried not to listen, to not notice the sinking feeling I get when I look into your eyes. But you’re making it too damn hard to keep making excuses for you. You wanna hear what I really think? Well here it is: I bet you took him into the woods and slit his throat. And I bet you enjoyed it.
Of course you aren’t. You could never find it in your soft little heart to be mad at her, could you? You’re pathetic.
