Project Overview
- Plot
We start in an old town named Northview in there small town is a university called High Oak. Evie, has just joined the school and is majoring in the arts. Mainly theater arts. Which leads us to the beginning of our story. Jonas meets up with Evie in a bar one night while he’s working there. She asked him for how she could get a job there. He leads her to his boss and she takes home a resume. A few weeks later she gets the job and becomes the new waitress at the bar. After a few weeks of working there Evie starts to reveal her true colors.
- Why we made Along Came Evie...
We wanted to make a story that was both serious and romantic. So we made Along Came Evie. Think of Mean Girls/Heathers but all the characters are much more twisted. We wanted to take a story people were familiar with and completely rebrand it as our own. Hence why we are taking a swing at it.
- Requirements/Rules
- 1. You need Discord for this project, that is non-negotiable, please put your Discord tag in the description of your audition.
- 2. Please have the proper equipment, it doesn't need to be fancy and expensive, so long as we can understand you and little to no background noise.
- 3. Be nice to other auditioners, any sign of bullying/fighting will mean disqualification.
- 4. Please try to have an open schedule, we won't boot you if you're unavailable a few times, but if it becomes a habit, there will be an issue.
- 5. Most importantly- have fun!
- Other things to note...
- 1. This production will have no nudity, but strong implications, mentions and references to sex, if you are uncomfortable with this, I would not suggest auditioning.
- 2. There will be a lot of swearing and cursing, the themes in this will be rather serious at times and many, possibly all scripts call for cursing. All characters will at least once.
- 3. There will be episodes dealing with character’s mental health, this may include, but not be limited to, depression, anxiety disorders and other psychological or neurological ailments.
- 4. There will be characters fitting into the LGBT+ community, many of our characters are gay, bisexual, asexual or pansexual so please keep that in mind. All characters will have their sexuality noted in their description.
- 5. There will be characters that say some pretty outright offensive and mean things, if you do not wish to be part of a project with controversial characters or offensive lines, I would recommend moving along.

Evie is 21 years old and carries a lot of emotional baggage. She tends to hide from her problems; problems like Roxy and Oliver. Evie makes a lot of bad decisions and finds it hard to face consequences very often. She can be pretty huffy and is prone to having intense mood swings when she's drunk or hungover- she drinks a lot.
- Evie may come off as sweet and kind but she has a dark side to her. She is someone who wants to hide from her past and become a new person.
- Voice must be flexible to hit highs and lows, and also must be able to be loud, quiet, fast and slow with exaggeration.
• How much does she swear?
- Evie’s heavy emotions and bad habits lead her to have a very foul mouth. She doesn’t hold back what she says during her outbursts
• What’s her sexuality?
- Evie is heterosexual/straight
• Will she be dealing with mental disorders?
- Evie suffers from anxiety. It won’t be too big of a focus for most of the series, but she often drinks when she gets anxious and it only makes it worse. She has mild to severe panic attacks sometimes.

Well, I mean, it’s the least I could do since you paid for the sandwich. I mean, don’t get me wrong, it’s good, but the vendor could’ve given me a “cute girl” discount!

Oliver is 24 years old and is Evie’s ex-boyfriend. He’s the classic bad-boy character. He’s, in a word, a sociopath and couldn’t care less about how people feel about his actions, so long as he’s on top. He’s currently Roxy’s boyfriend. He’s not much of a talker, but much more of a fighter. He resorts to violence often but nobody has the guts to stop him.
Oliver’s voice would need to have a low register. He’d need to be intimidating and hostile, with the ability to yell in a rough, low voice.
• How much does he swear?
-Surprisingly, Oliver doesn't curse as much as many other characters. He only really does so when his temper is at its worst.
• What’s his sexuality?
- Oliver is heterosexual/straight
• Will he be dealing with mental disorders?
- Oliver will not be dealing with mental disorders.

Roxy is 23 years old and is the most praised girl in her college. She's seen as a goddess in the eyes of many. She's manipulative, merciless and intelligent. She wants nothing more than to ruin Evie's life and make her upset
- Roxy should have a generally seductive and manipulative tone. She'd be an alto simply when speaking and says everything with a level of sass or power.
• How much does she swear?
- Similar to Evie, Roxy has very heightened emotions. She swears very often. In fact, she's one of, if not the character who swears the most
• What’s her sexuality?
-Roxy is bisexual
• Will she be dealing with mental disorders?
- Roxy suffers from separation anxiety. Her obsession with Evie is partially due to her nerves when separated from ones that she loves. And she loves Evie.

Obviously, you don’t! What have you done to help?! Huh? You were so close to getting her back yet you just let her walk away with Jonas! You asshole! I paid good money to get this whole plan together and you could have easily taken him down! Why didn’t you?! Why? WHY?! YOU ARE ALL USELESS TO ME!!

Nikki is 22 years old, and part of the popular squad. She’s very deceiving in her ways of acting seemingly innocent and trustworthy in order to get secrets out of people to use as blackmail. She’s deceptive, but when she's not trying to manipulate someone, she's highly aggressive and snappy.
Nikki’s voice is fairly high pitched and cute, but must have a good ability to shout
• How much does she swear?
- Nikki is one of the characters that swears the least of all. She gets angry often but just as often, she doesn't manifest it into cursing.
• What’s her sexuality?
- Nikki is homosexual/gay
• Will she be dealing with mental disorders?
- Nikki does not suffer from any mental disorders.

She goes to High Oak University. Her dorm room is number 246. And she just moved back to continue her degree in the arts.
