Epic Quest

Project Overview

Hello Casting Call! We are trying to create a Youtube series similar to that of Doraleous and Associates. I have the first episode on Youtube currently to give a bit of a feel to what we are trying to create. You can view our first episode here: https://youtu.be/xfpfj2u58O4 Our project is going to be called Epic Quest. It's meant to be sort of a medieval type show with D&D elements.

Please note that if you're auditioning (especially for recurring characters) we're likely going to need you well beyond the initial episode. You'd be in it for the long haul as it were.

A Satyr who deals in not-so-legal mana distribution. We are mainly interested in your range and what sort of voice you have in mind for the character, so feel free to try out what seems fitting to you.

Character Traits
Miles is a learned recluse who has a proclivity for alchemy.

  • *Miles mixing two vials of liquid*

Miles: "Carefully... only need a single... dr--"

Grok: "Heeey! There he is!" (friendly greeting, somewhat enthusiastic)

    Miles: "*Panicked goat bleat*"

*Miles drops both vials on the ground causing an explosion*

Miles: "What the hell, man! I'm working with explosive ingredients here! In case you couldn't tell! You know how much all that stuff costs?! It took me a whole week to get it ready! You better be able to pay for--"

Grok is essentially the tank of the party thus requires a rather deep/robust voice. Essentially how one would imagine a dwarf would sound. Maybe a bit of raspiness wouldn't hurt. He's generally a friendly sort of person, a simple kind of man, so I wouldn't try making him sound menacing.

  • "You have my thanks, and my shield... and my other shield..."

  • "I'm a dwarf, not a midget."

  • "People use two swords...why not two shields?"

Druindar is one of our lead roles and one of the first members to join the party in our story. He is quite an important role as you will hear a lot of him throughout the series. If you take on this role you must have the availability to record lines as needed, and provide them in an (at least somewhat) timely manner.

  • Druindar: "That's where I met Odewyn, my arch nemesis. He took everything from me but the clothes on my back. Of course, it's partially my fault for gambling..."

  • Druindar: "Oh, I'm back to normal. That blasted spell finally wore off. As I was saying."

  • Dream Druindar: (Snarky) "Didn't learn your lesson last time, eh?"

Role assigned to: Ignis

Charles is the resident Chamberlain of Hillcrest. (a mid-sized, semi-wealthy, fortified town) Charles is a proper, by the books, overseer of most goings on in Hillcrest and the surrounding lands. Although he isn't the Lord of Hillcrest, he is one of the most important figures in the town and carries himself as such.

Character Traits
Charles is a charismatic, honest, hard working noble who identifies more with the 'working man'.

  • "Looks like you're all set as far as the paperwork. The convoy leaves within the hour, so get you and your men ready for travel."

The main character of our show is Zayne Norwood. A somewhat charismatic, yet laid-back sword for hire. An auburn-brown haired mercenary in his mid-twenties with no accent in particular. He speaks proper english, but doesn't feel the need to over-complicate with fancier words.

  • "You know we can't see anything right? I don't know if wizards can see flashbacks or something, but normal people can't do that."

  • "How did I know I'd find you here? How much have you had to drink?"

  • "I found us some work, I'll tell you the details once meet up with the others."
