Hello, and welcome to Papercup Entertainment!

Ephemera is a Korean idol group, who's original members are all talented idols originating from different entertainment companies. The group is scheduled to debut after a year of promotions. While the idols are all interesting and have their own backgrounds, their story truly begins after debut. They will face drama within their company. They will face the pressures of competition and a fanbase. They will have good times and bad times. And to top it off, their contract will be terminated soon.
We are looking for people to portray their story!
What we are looking for are voice actors who can create a believable interpretation of their personalities. If you can sing or rap then that would be great! It's not required, but voice actors who can sing/rap will be considered first, because we plan to make songs for this group. There will be four group songs and each member gets a solo song. This won't come until later in the series, so don't worry about it now!
You don't have to be Korean to audition.
We are still putting the details of this project together, and the actual deadline for auditions won't be until probably December, probably even later. If you're looking for a quick project that is 100% ready to go, I'm sorry to say that this isn't it.
But it will be fun!
We may use email and/or Google Hangouts (possibly other platforms- we're open minded) as communication between the writers and actors. Kakao Talk may come in handy for group chats. This isn't decided yet, so we will let you know!
This will be a pretty laid-back project. While everyone should work to a deadline to be sure we are all on the same page, we understand that people have lives and other things to do. We just ask that your are somewhat flexible in your time and are willing to stick with us long term. There may be a time where we are corresponding every day and then a month long hiatus will hit. You never know what'll go down, so please be prepared!
Please be patient with us, as we are limited on technology, and once school begins we might be limited on time. We are still deciding whether this will be an audio book, animation, visual novel, etc. If you are casted, it might be a moment before we actually contact you. Please keep in mind that this is a work in progress. Characters and plot are subject to change.
Again, don't worry- we will work hard to make this great!
Last, but most important- have fun!
This isn't a professional production. We are high school kids and we don't have the money to pay anyone, so we are asking for enthusiastic volunteers who will be as invested in this story as we are. We know how difficult it is to find enough voice actors for these kind of things, especially ones that all sing or rap.
That is why we are beginning auditions so early. We want to get our name out there so that people will be on board by the time we are ready to publish!
Feel free to audition for more than one role. You could be cast for multiple roles!

Hyojin is the leader of Ephemera and a lead vocal. She is apart of the unnie line, dance line, and vocal line.
She is Korean and the oldest member at 22 years old. She is the shortest member (164 cm).
Hyojin's name means "real", "true", "genuine" or "valuable" and she definitely lives up to it. She is the motherly figure of the group and is like a big sister to everyone. She is very reliable and the person to go to if you have any type of issue. She is a good shoulder to cry on, and at the same time she isn't afraid to put you in your place. She is known for her heart-shaped smile.

Chowa is a main vocal in the group. She is apart of the unnie line and the vocal line.
She is Korean, and the second oldest at 21 years old. She is 165 cm tall.
Chowa comes off as a bit of an asshat at first. This is because she is the most upset about the seventh member joining.
She directs this rudeness mostly towards Julia, but it is noticeable by others. She is a bit judgemental, and this shows as well. She doesn't have much of a filter, and will say whatever she is thinking without hesitation. She isn't a bad person. In fact, she is rather nice. Well, to everyone but Julia. She is a winker, and does the most fan service. The fans don't know she can be obnoxious behind the scenes. To them, she is the charismatic unnie everyone wants to hug at fan meets.

Chungha is the visuals of the group. She is a main vocal. She is apart of the unnie line and the vocal line.
She is Korean and 20 years old. She is the tallest member at 173 cm.
Chungha is an actual ray of sunshine. It's almost impossible to be in a bad mood with her around. She does her best to keep others happy, and is a complete sweetheart. She is the first to turn a negative situation around. She struggles a bit with dancing, but she is learning and getting better. She makes up for it with amazing power vocals. Her hidden talent is the ability to imitate people's singing voices.

Haneul is the maknae of the group. She is 17, turning 18 soon.
She is a sub-vocal. She is apart of the maknae line, dance line, and vocal line. She is 168 cm tall.
Haneul's name means "sky" or "heaven" and it definitely fits. She's a little squish. A completely innocent kid who can be a bit clueless at times. She is childish and naive, but this only adds to her charm. She is a huge eater, and is not picky at all. She will accept any food given to him and then some. Anytime you check in on her, she'll probably be eating. She's also super good at boy group dances. She has just graduated from high school right before their debut. Her members love her, and treat her like the baby of the group- which she is. When she grows taller and more mature, she starts to intimidate the other members. Think evil maknae vibes.

Sohye is the main rapper in the group. She is apart of the maknae line and the rap line.
She is Korean and has recently turned 19. She is 165 cm tall and often teases Hyojin about being 1cm taller than her.
Sohye is probably the most laid-back person in the group. She's so chill, people call her lazy, but that's not the case. She doesn't like stress, and will always find a way to make things easier. She's kinda like the class clown, always making jokes. She always has people laughing, even when it seems an inappropriate time to do so. Much like Chungha and Hyojin, but in her own way, she comforts others when they are down. She ends up being the closest to Julia. She is known for her adorable eye smile.

Chunhua is the dancer of the group. He is a lead rapper. He's apart of the maknae line, dance line, and rap line.
She is Chinese, and 19 years old. She is 168 cm tall.
Chunhua's name means "white spring flower". She is a pretty hard worker. She is the one who is still up working on choreo and music while the other members are sleeping. She tends to throw herself into her work so much that the other members have to remind her to eat and get rest. She is friendly and well-meaning, She has a heart to heart with Julia one night while she is up working on their next comeback. She can relate to Julia's insecurities since she is also a foreigner in a Korean group. She is a bgirl, a talent which she often shows off in variety shows.

Julia is the seventh member that the other six don't know about at first. She joins the group through a survival show.
She is a versatile member, able to sing when needed or rap when needed. She is apart of the maknae line and the rap line.
She is Argentinian and 18 years old. She is 165 cm tall.
Julia is a hopeful teen. She signs up for Papercup Entertainment's survival show as soon as she sees the ad. She is chosen as one of the five trainees to compete for the seventh member position in Ephemera. She is excited to debut with the group during their first comeback. This excitement starts to dissipate a little when the group finds out about her, and their reaction is not so positive. Now she is a bit shy and insecure, but she still tries to be helpful and fit in with the group. She even uses her talent for beat boxing to lead jam sessions and is a bright personality during their reality shows. She faces a bit of discrimination for her non-Asian appearance. Like Chunhua, she has to learn Korean, which adds to her insecurity around the other members. Even with this, there is still a spark of hope that this was the right path for her.
