Mod almost ready
Hey guys, just popping in to let you all know the mod is almost ready. Just 3 characters remaining, and I've already got them cast! It's only a matter of time now! Thank you all for your help and your patience!
Hey all, it's Cu na Saoirse! Back at it again with another fun project! Please make sure to read THIS ENTIRE description before audition please. That includes Audition Requirements and Voice Requirements!
The project this time is for a fun little gem I've been bouncing around in my head for a while, and decided to finally do it. This mod title is Encounters of The Wasteland - Goodsprings/Sloan. It aims to add scripted encounters around Sloan and Goodsprings to make the world feel more alive. This will be an ongoing project, with several mods planned in the future to cover other areas of the map in the hopes of having the entire map covered in the future.
VOICE REQUIREMENTS
- A willingness and ability to adapt your voice to the character unique voice requirements. (Imitating Elvis Presley).
- Multiple takes are encouraged (2-3) for each audition line but NOT required!
- You must follow the voicing instructions crystal clearly. Any audition with mess-ups on specific instructions w/o any attempts to fix WILL BE disqualified.
- Must not be afraid to get vulgar or loud!
- Sometimes you will be cussing too. If you are comfortable with neither, then I can say that, unfortunately, this project is not for you. :(
Audition Requirements:
-Crisp, clean audio. No hums*, pops, hisses, or background noise. Any audition with these found inside WILL BE disqualified!
*Hums, if distant enough to be hardly noticeable, can pass auditioning ONLY if the voice actor can remove them when asked.
-Show emotion! Any audition without emotion or effort WILL BE disqualified!
- Communication can be conducted through Discord or CCC.
- The role will have between 1 and 8 lines each.
- Keep in mind that the pictures of the roles DO NOT REFLECT what your character will look like. These just reflect the generality of the character in question. You are voicing not just a single character, but multiple.
-Have fun!
If you are disqualified, feel free to re-audition! There is no negativity here, only positivity and room for improvement!
If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I can answer most.

So, good news! Most of the roles have been cast, and even better, the second installment is almost ready for voice actors! Please, share this casting call with your friends!
Goodsprings is the starting settlement in Fallout: New Vegas. Home to the Goodsprings Settlers, they are often considered the tutorial faction. They herd Bighorners and trade with the passing caravans, although business has slowed since the bandit gang, the Powder Gangers, from the nearby NCRCF came to power in the area.
This Goodsprings Settler is a rancher who watches over the Bighorner pen. He is complaining, at the time of the Player's arrival, about the state of the herd being predominately male.
Howdy.
Heya, Dexter. How's it going?
Just trying to figure out why we don't have any females in the herd...

This Goodsprings Settler is heading to the Saloon when he encounters the local Rancher. Here, he finds out that their herd is predominately male, and probably won't survive long without a female being introduced.
Hey there. Feelin' better after your little incident?
Hey there, Jackson.
Doing alright. Heading to the Saloon here in a moment. What are you up to?

This Settler is gossiping in the Saloon about the two NCR Rangers that just left prior to the Player's arrival.
You're that one Doc Mitchell was patching up, right? Welcome back to the world of the living.
Hey, you see those Rangers? Those NCR-types?
Yeah, that guy could barely hold his liquor. One glass and he was down for the count. Teetotaler.

Care for a game of Pool?
Yeah, those guys who set up shop down at Primm? Who are they? The New California Republic? Seems their soldiers are lightweights, hah!
Yet, apparently he's the "best of the best". A Ranger, but can't stand up to vodka.
(MONSTER ROLE - YOU WILL BE PLAYING AS AN INTELLIGENT SUPER MUTANT)
Super Mutants are highly mutated humans who were once members of the Master's Army. Now displaced since the destruction of said army, many find refuge in the human settlements and factions, and some even go out into the Wasteland to build a home for themselves.
This Super Mutant is escorting a Nightkin to Jacobstown - a settlement for Super Mutants - when they are accosted by the local bandits, the Powder Gangers. Needless to say, it doesn't go well for the Powder Gangers.
Greetings, human.
I'm warning you, human. Back off. You don't know what we're capable of.
Be that as it may, we're far superior to your fragile bodies. We will rip you apart. Stand aside.

Nightkin are Super Mutants who served as Special Forces in the Master's Army. Now displaced since the destruction of said army, many find refuge in the human settlements and factions, and some even go out into the Wasteland to build a home for themselves. Many are quite insane, however, and are often shunned more than their regular Super Mutant brothers.
This Nightkin is being escorted to Jacobstown by a regular Super Mutant when they are accosted by Powder Ganger Bandits. It doesn't go well for them.
Go away, human! No time for you!
Powder Gangers are escaped convicts from the NCRCF. After rioting and taking over the prison as their base of operations, the Powder Gangers run rampant across the Wasteland around Goodsprings, looting, murdering, and other horrible things.
This Powder Ganger is accosting a Super Mutant and his charge for a toll. Needless to say, it doesn't go well for him or his crew.
Not now!
And I said that there is a toll in this region. Mutants don't get free passes. Pay up, or else. We outnumber you, keep that in mind, freak.
Look who thinks they're tough, boys! Hah! Don't make me laugh. We'll blow you to pieces, freakshow. Now pay up! I'm getting tired of talkin'!

This Powder Ganger and his friend are robbing graves in Goodsprings when the Player shows up. Upon noticing the Player, they attack.
What the fuck are you lookin' at?
Ugh... This is dirty work...
Yeah? Well why the fuck don't you pick up the shovel?

Get lost. This is our haul, get it?
Yeah, well, keep digging. These Goodspringers bury all sorts of things in these graves. We'll hit the jackpot soon enough.
Someone's gotta hold the gun in case someone gets curious.
The NCR Rangers are the best of the best in the NCR Military. Essentially special forces, they are an all volunteer group that goes out on dangerous, high-risk missions to accomplish the goals of the NCR. From scouts and nighttime raids to assassinations and sometimes even combat missions.
This NCR Ranger was on patrol with another when he decided to stop in at the local watering hole for a drink. Unfortunately, he couldn't hold his liquor.
Oh... *hic*... I-I think... Yeah...
Hah... Yeah... I'll be fine...*hic*.... But... We're leaving too early...*hic* Just one more drink...
Yeah... I guess... But there's nothing going on around these parts...*hic*... Just sandstorms and Powdy Gangers...*hic*... Say, you got an extra cap?

Hey, I think you had one too many...
You had a full vodka, you dolt. We're supposed to be on patrol.
Ugh... I knew I shouldn't have let you drag me here... I mean, this is against regulation, y'know?
Cazadores are vicious, highly lethal mutated insects that plague the Mojave Wasteland. Fast on their feet as they are with their wings, and equipped with a stinger with a vicious poison, Cazadores are not a beast to be trifled with.
This a Hunter attempting to hunt Cazadores. It doesn't go so well.
Do you really think this is a good idea, Carver?
But these are fucking Cazadores! How do you expect the three of us to take down a group of them?!
W-wait! Hey! W-wait up!

I don't want to talk about it.
Of course, Pat. It's simple. We bag a few Cazadors, sell the meat and poison up at Novac. Easy caps.
Stop being a goddamn pussy! Angel over here is ready, why can't you be? Anyways, don't be slow! Let's bag us some Cazadores!
Quarry Junction is a stone quarry in the Mojave Wasteland. Taken over by the NCR, and staffed by a crew of contracted Quarry Workers, it is a very important location for NCR supply lines. However, when Deathclaws moved into the area and forced the workers to flee, all mining of stone ceased and left the workers with no pay and no way out.
This worker is disgruntled at the recent events, and has decided to abandon his contract and head for Vegas.
I don't care about no contract, nor do I care about the NCR's laws on this subject. We've been here without work for weeks now! No work, no money!
I really don't care at this point. Prison's gotta be better than waiting for the Deathclaws to move out this way, or those fucking Powder Gang raids.
You can come with me, y'know? I'm going to Vegas. Gonna take what I have and try make it a fortune.

This worker is trying to convince his friend to not leave the contract behind. It doesn't work.
That's akin to desertion, but instead of being shot, you'll spend your life in prison! Are you sure that's such a great idea?
I heard the NCR is gonna deal with both of those issues any day now. You don't have to leave.
Vegas?! That's a hive of NCR activity! Are you crazy?!
NCR Troopers are the backbone of the NCR Military. Full of volunteers and conscripted soldiers, the Troopers are the first in, last out, boots on the ground, in the knitty and gritty force that the Mojave needs to stabilize it.
This NCR Trooper and his squad have come across the Yangtze Memorial, and are discussing the past behind it.
So, what is this thing anyways?
What, like our Boulder City Memorial?
Ah. That makes sense, I guess. But, thing is, you're Chinese. Or... a descendent at least. You're cool. Why would they be killing each other?

It's a war memorial, Corporal.
Yeah, you can compare the two. Except it's about The Great War. More specifically, the American invasion of China.
Never payed attention in History class, did you? The Chinese invaded Alaska to prevent said American invasion. The Americans didn't like that.
