Project Overview:
Set in a hauntingly atmospheric, remote island town, Elysium weaves a tale of survival, mystery, and cosmic horror. Fifty years after the fateful wreck of the ship Elysium, the island is plagued by lingering spirits and dark secrets. Discipline, the new lighthouse keeper, arrives seeking a fresh start, but he quickly realizes that the town and its inhabitants are haunted by the past. Alongside Maya Langford, a practicing witch with knowledge of the supernatural, Discipline must confront the vengeful spirits of the shipwreck, uncovering truths that have long been buried.
At the heart of the mystery is drama, hate, and an ever lurking feeling of dread. The eeriness of this short film dramatized with the familiar Minecraft atmosphere provides an "icky" feeling.
What We're Looking For:
We are seeking talented voice actors who are passionate about storytelling, especially within the realms of horror and emotional drama. Each character offers a unique voice and presence, from the vengeful old man of Silas. Whether you're voicing a charismatic captain, a young child with a mischievous streak, or a spirit tethered to the past, your contribution will add layers of intensity to this atmospheric film.
This film takes place using the film tools from Minecraft, every character you see is witnessed and controlled by myself, with the need of strong and independent voice actors such as yourselves to turn them alive

ALRIGHT, Elysium casting is finally live. I have had this idea shelved for gosh knows how long. But I will say this
there are more characters in production, all are fleshed out in the screenplay, but not in a "Minecraft" form, so please bare with me while I get these set up, if you do not feel confident in the characters provided, there are many other roles to look into!
Antagonist
"The Keeper,"
Silas has watched over {Location} for nearly 50 years. A recluse, Silas harbors dark secrets, most notably his role in sinking the Elysium to protect the greater good. As the sole survivor of the crash, rescued by the previous lighthouse keeper, Silas is haunted by the past and is determined to keep it buried.
(Motivated, but Monotone) "Everything you need is here—books, papers, TV. My old rod’s in one of these boxes if you’re into fishing."
(Confident, determined) "This is the Elysium. She’s my life, my world… everything important that’s happened in my life, happened here."
[Sneering.] “I’m exactly what you see. Flesh and blood, bound to this place like the rest of them. The price I paid… the choices I made, they’ve kept me here.” [His face twists with something darker, more primal.] “I endured it all. I survived.”
Maya is the daughter of Elias and older sister of Jayson. As a practicing witch, she possesses knowledge of spirits and dark forces, primarily from her books. Unaware of the Elysium shipwreck like the rest of the town, she joins Discipline in the fight to banish the unknown evils haunting the area.
Damian keeps thinking he’ll sweep me off my feet like I’m some sort of novel princess. I’m sick of people giving him praise for simply doing his one job
(With a teasing smile) "Try not to get turned into a frog before then, alright?"
(teasing) Oh, don’t be so humble, Father. Just admit you’re good at something.
The oldest resident of {Location}, Elder Maeve has witnessed generations of lighthouse keepers come and go. A pillar of the community, she is often sought out for wisdom and guidance, having survived many of the town's darkest moments.
(Eerily, Rasping) "For the last 50 years this town has had spirits, all from bodies I've never met"
"The Angler,"
Damian is the charismatic captain of {Location}'s fishing crew. His easygoing charm has won over many, excluding Maya, who has tested him dearly. Close in age to Discipline, Damian quickly becomes his friend, though this friendship may be tested.
(lighthearted) But hey! We can always do something tonight! I’m always down to meet new faces.
(Chuckling, speaking to a child) "Hey booger, didya miss me?"
(Playful but firm) "That’s up to your father, and you already know what his answer is, buddy. When you're older, you can come for sure. I’m sure of it."
Father of Maya and Jayson
Elias is the keeper of the Langford Inn, a cozy establishment in the heart of {Location} that serves as the town's main attraction for travelers. A loving father who lost his wife to cancer two years ago, Elias is fiercely protective of his children, especially when it comes to their safety and well-being.
(Stern, Whispering) Why did you bring him here? I don’t want him near this building.
(Unwelcoming) Sorry about that. I think it’s best if you leave after your meal, son. Thanks for stopping by.
(Angry, Stern) If I catch you near her one more time.. I swear a hundred storms before you.
Jayson, or "Jay," is an energetic young boy who spends his time exploring the island, pestering critters, and annoying the elderly. He looks up to Captain Stone, much to his father's dismay, though Elias is glad Jay is socializing.
(mouth full of food) So where’d you come from, Lightman?
(Excited) I’m Jay! My dad says you keep the ships safe!
(Friendly, Creepy) Who’s gonna protect you from the darkness? Aren’t you going to die?
The Mother / Refugee
Miriella is a refugee fleeing the devastation of Kinspiion with her two daughters, Anaelle and Seraphine, after the tragic death of her husband, Joseph, during the fall of their homeland. A strong but weary woman, Miriella boards the Elysium in hopes of finding safe shores and a new beginning for her family. However, from the very start of the

Miriella’s Eldest Daughter, 19 Years Old
Anaelle, at 19, is fiercely protective of her younger sister, Seraphine, after the loss of their father. Mature beyond her years, Anaelle is burdened with the responsibility of helping her mother care for the family while grappling with her own grief. On the surface, she remains composed and resilient, but inwardly, she struggles to cope with the trauma of losing her home and the unknown dangers they face aboard the Elysium. Anaelle also shares her mother’s suspicion of the ship, though she tries to hide her fear for the sake of her sister.
(Screachingly, protective) LEAVE SERAPHINE OUT OF THIS
Veteran of the Battle of Kinspiion
Ambrose is a war-torn veteran who fought in the devastating Battle of Kinspiion. She has witnessed the deaths of many comrades and carries the burden of guilt from her time in battle. Haunted by her experiences, Ambrose ultimately fled her duties during the war to board the Elysium, seeking refuge from the horrors she could no longer bea
(Depressed) "Gone just like that... I wonder if there was still more, more we left behind."
(Bitterly) "Now ash and smoke are all that's left."
(Her voice rising, trembling with grief and anger) "Our world just got turned—fucking upside down... and you expect ME to be relaxed about this? Your kids need to understand that their home... their father is gone!"
Captain of the Elysium
Known as "Captain Voss," Lucien is a seasoned sailor who has commanded the Elysium for many years. Once a respectable merchant, he sailed the seas with his wife and two trusted shiphands, building a reputation as a fair and honorable captain. Now, after decades of voyages across the world, he leads his crew on one final journey aboard the ill-fated Elysium.
(In a mean, stern voice) "That’s enough... Ambrose."
(Beat) "We are all struggling. Every one of us lost something. Alaric lost his wife and kid today... Miriella just lost her husband... and my wife... she’s gone too."
"She sacrificed herself for all of you. We’re not getting any of them back." (Pause, the weight of his words sinking in) "We need to keep moving. So learn to live together... or spend what little time we have left tearing each other apart." (Beat) "Pick one... but it has to be now."
Loyal Shiphand
Alaric is a steadfast and loyal shiphand to Captain Voss. Once deeply involved in the life of the sea, Alaric began to distance himself from his duties to focus on raising his child with his wife. However, the tragedy of war struck when both his wife and child perished before his eyes, leaving Alaric emotionally shattered and searching for solace aboard the Elysium.
(Softly, almost to himself) "There’s nothing left... nothing."
