Project Overview

Hey,

We are a small team of people based out of Los Angeles, CA currently working on low budget and experimental short films and side projects. Before you read on, we would like to be straightforward and say that everyone who is working on this project is working for free because this project is more along the lines of a hobby so we won't be able to pay you as a voice actor. We will credit you if we use your work (Although, let's be honest, if you're looking for money then that doesn't mean anything)

However, if you are also looking to do some voice acting work as a hobby or are interested in any of our projects, we would love to work with you. 

This project is titled Echo and it explores the sounds and frequencies of some of the many radio waves that float through the air and our bodies all around the world on a daily basis. In this project, we are taking some liberties and entertaining the thoughts, ideas, and questions of what we can hear in these frequencies and possible broadcasts and experiments going on throughout the world.

Our goal is to get several different audio clips of the lines we have and weave them together in a solid short film narrative. In this piece, the protagonist runs into several different broadcasts and mysterious voices interfering in his seemingly average night.

This is one of the many voices that our main character overhears throughout his night. The sound he hears is a clear, semi-slow reading of numbers from 1-26. The main point is for the numbers to be spoken with clarity and speech in mind. The voice is supposed to sound almost like a computer is reading it back, but not quite in a robotic tone or manner.

This is one of the many voices that our main character overhears throughout his night. The sound he hears is a clear spoken voice from a child that was prerecorded by an organization to be played back later. The pattern of the voice seems to repeat as if it was rehearsed a bunch of times. There is freedom of style and interpretation, but for starters think 

(Clear, Semi-slow, Crisp Speech)

This is one of the many voices that our main character overhears throughout his night. The sound he hears is a clear spoken voice from a man that captivates our protagonist. The voice is ambiguous on whether it is speaking directly to our main character or if it just seems that way.  The voice sounds confident and calm. The voice is also very laid back and casual in its approach (almost like the voice is coming through a cb radio). Lastly the voice has a touch of tenderness (Almost like a father speaking to a son or like really close friends)

  • When you look back at life, you’re going to be less emotionally entangled in all of the order and details of it all, do you know what I mean?

  • What you do matters. I enjoy your work. Stay focused, stay present.

  • Be sure to take a couple of steps back and look at what matters in the long run. Remember who you are in the long run.
