Welcome ladies and gentlemen to Dragon Ball: Battle For Freedom! If you're reading this then you're either scrolling through projects or you're a genuine Dragon Ball fan and are interested in part taking in this series. With that allow me to fill you in with some background information on the series!
Background Info:
Dragon Ball: Battle For Freedom is a fan-made Dragon Ball project created by Novakills and a few others. The series is based on the Prison Planet Arc from the game Dragon Ball Super Heroes and revolves around the concept of time travel mostly. The story starts off with Fu traveling throughout time searching for fighters who he later on imprisoned in this prison/arena planet that he created. In order for those that were held captive to gain back their freedom and leave they must fight in a series of battles against warriors from other timelines including other variations of themselves. Some warriors that you'll see in this series are Future Trunks, Goku, Goku (GT), Vegeta, Majin Vegeta, Vegeta (GT), Piccolo, Gohan, Perfect Cell, Bardock, Cooler, King Vegeta, Majin Buu, Gohan, Pan, and Broly to name a few.
Important Character Info:
For anyone who is auditioning as a voice actor, we'd like to let you know that if you are cast for a character in the series you'll be playing all variations of that character throughout the series. For example, if you were to audition for Goku and you were cast to be Goku in the series this means you'd play Goku, GT Goku, and all other variations of Goku in the series.
How Long is the series intended to be?
There is no decided amount of episodes or seasons for this series. We are experimenting with the series and seeing how well received it will be to our audience once it is released and from there on we'll decide a certain amount of episodes and/or seasons.
Where will the series be published and what will it be produced on?
Great question! The series will be published on YouTube immediately after the first episode is completed and we intend to create and produce the series through the use of Source Flim Maker. (SFM for short)
Are any other roles besides voice actors needed?
Yes. In fact, we are looking for a Source Flim Maker animator who is willing to help us produce this series. We also are interested in finding a music composer as well so if any of you are animators or music composers feel free to stop by and audition!
What are the requirements to be a voice actor?
The requirements are very simple and straightforward to by a voice actor (note: If you are auditioning for animator or music composers you do not need to follow these requirements unless you are applying as a voice actor as well)
The requirements for voice actors are:
1) It's a major requirement to have a decent microphone when auditioning. Failure to follow this extremely simple requirement will result in the rejection of your audition.
2) Able to meet deadlines. Roles are taken very seriously and we are strict with deadlines. Please do not audition if you know that you are not good with deadlines or turning in lines that are required on time. (If you have a valid reasoning for not being able to fulfill a deadline we'll let it slide once or twice. Do not abuse this privilege.)
3) Having the ability to scream. These roles can get very LOUD at times. Make sure that if you are to audition you are able to scream in your environment. Some of these scenes get very intense and lead to multiple retakes if necessary. If you are cast you will need to scream in certain lines sometimes if this is not possible we suggest not auditioning.
4) We are looking for people who can ACT not IMPERSONATE! We are not looking for impressions of the characters, however, they are welcomed. We are looking for people who can act the part not just sound like the character.
Well, now that we've listed all the requirements there are only a few rules you must follow that is it!
The rules are:
1) Be kind to all participants in this series. All actors, Music composers, and Animators are like your co-workers and we would like that you treat them with the utmost respect as you'd treat the owner. Failure to follow this rule may result in termination.
2) No vulgar language directed at anyone. We take any vulgar language directed at anyone for their sexual orientation, race, or religious beliefs very seriously! If you break this rule you can kiss your role goodbye because it'll result in termination.
3) Do not steal ideas from this series and market it off as your own. Many of us have worked really hard on this and just stealing it is a very low move. Anyone who attempts to perform these types of activities will immediately be terminated.

A Music Composer is required because even though we'll be using certain themes from the Dragon Ball series itself we will require certain themes for certain scenes that the Dragon Ball series cannot provide us as well as we'd like to use as much original content as possible.

Son Goku is full-blooded Saiyan warrior who has lived on Earth ever since he was an infant. His original Saiyan name being Kakarot, Goku has spent most of his day's training and protecting the earth from catastrophic evils since he was young! Goku is a very cheerful and hyperactive person who continues to surpasses his limits even when it seems impossible and values training and the earth's safety over everything. Goku has died and been revived multiple times in the series, but even in death continues to train and protect. the earth. Goku sees this imprisonment situation as a way to train and get stronger as well as facing all kinds of fighters including multiple variations of himself.
(In a cheerful and playful tone towards one of the opposing teams) "There really shouldn't be much trouble for you guys! I mean you probably wipe the floor with two Vegeta's on your side!"
(In a deeper and more serious tone after transforming into SSJ4) "You should be proud of yourself. Only a certain few have pushed me this far in battle. Now come at me!"
(Building up, getting louder with everyone word) "Ka... Me... HA... ME..." (Now yelling loudly) "HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!"
Vegeta is a very arrogant and prideful man when it comes to battle. Being born into Saiyan royalty he declares himself still as the Prince of All Saiyan's even though most of the Saiyan race has been extinct. Vegeta is Goku's sworn rival and has been ever since their first encounter with each other. Vegeta's pride and hatred towards how powerful Goku continually becomes is what pushes him to surpass his limits and achieve greater power for the sole purpose of surpassing Goku. Being imprisoned along with his son, Trunks and multiple variations of himself. Vegeta wants no more, but to escape and prove his superiority to all others in this tournament!
(Angry and annoyed at Goku's comment) "Shut it Kakarot! No matter how many variations of me are in this tournament I will prove to everyone that there is only one Vegeta and that's me!"
(Arrogantly mocking both Frieza and Cooler) "Look at that! Both excuses for emperor's of the universe working together! No matter. I'll just kill you both like before!"
(Charging up getting louder as the line reaches its end with lots of anger in the tone) "In mere moments all you'll be feeling is oblivion!" (Screaming loudly and angrily) "FINAL FLASH!!!!"
Cooler is the older brother of the tyrannical ruler, Frieza and is also one that takes over and rules multiple planets in multiple galaxies. Cooler is known for his more brutal and destructive methods of torturing his opponent before killing him, unlike his brother who is overly arrogant when against an opponent. Cooler has a strong hatred towards his brother for stealing all the opportunities that belong to him being the first born and has no problem sabotaging his brother. Cooler only has the sole purpose of escaping and going back to conquering the universe, however, he wouldn't mind killing a few people before doing so.
(Shouting angrily towards Frieza gripping him by the neck) "Don't think just because you were father's favorite means I won't kill you right here on the spot! Because there's no one here to stop me!"
(Laughing sinisterly at Gohan with a sinister tone) "Little Saiyan boy. Just because you've outmatched me in my base form does not mean you have won. In fact, you're in for a surprise!" (After fully transforming now having a deeper tone) "Now then. Let us continue!"
(Annoyed and agitated at what Fu had just told them) "You've got to be kidding me? Sure killing some monkeys are fun, but I have a universe to rule!"
King Vegeta is the father of Vegeta and the king of all Saiyans. King Vegeta was killed by Frieza back when Frieza destroyed Planet Vegeta, however, in this tournament, this is a King Vegeta from another timeline who survived the explosion and later on defeated Frieza by achieving the legendary "Super Saiyan" a transformation only very few Saiyan's have unlocked. King Vegeta is one of the wildcards in this tournament with no one having much information on him or his power level he continues to shock every including his own sin who is marveled by the fact that his father is alive and in front of him.
(Arrogantly snickering towards Frieza after being called a "monkey") "That's funny of you to say Frieza. Because in my timeline I have already killed you! In fact, I killed you with the one thing you fear the most."
(Marveled by the power Vegeta has achieved slurring his words a bit in slight fear) "T-This power! I cannot believe it! My own son, the product of my seed has achieved the legendary Super Saiyan transformation and even surpassed!"
(Charging up a ki blast shouting louder and more intense as the sentence progress) "I'll show you that my son is not the only one who can deliver a devastating attack! BIG BANG ATTACK!!!"
Pan is the daughter of Gohan and Videl and the granddaughter of Goku! Pan is only a 25% Saiyan meaning has she's lost the aspect of a tail, however, that does not mean she isn't incredibly powerful! Pan has the ability to deliver destructive ki blasts and lives up to her grandfather and father's name. Pan has also become the first female Saiyan to achieve the legendary Super Saiyan transformation which has immensely increased her power making her a worthy adversary. Pan's goal is got out and go home with her father and grandfather, however, with multiple variations of the ones she loves she has no choice, but to fight in order to gain back her freedom!
(Cheerful saying while hugging Goku) "Grandpa you're here too!" (After hugging Goku for a long period of time) "Grandpa are we going to get out of this horrible place?
(Angrily shouting at Broly who was about to brutally attack Goku) "You stay away from my grandpa you creep! If you wanna get to him you'll have to get through me!"
(Saying very arrogantly after knocking off Broly from the arena) "I told you I'm not just some little girl. After all, I am my grandpa's granddaughter!" (Laughing cheerfully)
Broly is a Saiyan warrior who survived the destruction of Planet Vegeta due to his extraordinary powers. When he was born he had a whopping power level of 10,000 which would continue to dramatically increase as he got older. His hatred towards Goku has fuelled him with rage and is the reason for him unlocking his mighty Legendary Super Saiyan transformation. In the tournament, Broly is seen to be more wild than usual due to the multiple variations of Goku there. This has caused Broly to pass his limits and even achieve the all-powerful Super Saiyan 4 transformation! Broly's intent is to destroy all variations of Goku he sees no matter how many lives will be taken away to achieve it.
(Grinning angrily at the sight of Goku) "Kakarot... I will make you suffer!"
(Violent shouting harming everyone in his way) "Where is Kakarot?! Tell where is Kakarot so I can make him suffer!!!"
(Angrily shouting getting louder with every word) "Kakarot... Kakarot... KAKAROT!!!!!!!" (After transforming into Super Saiyan 4 now having a more violent and deep tone) "Prepare for your demise Kakarot!"
Bardock is a full-blooded Saiyan warrior and the father of Goku! Bardock originally died in the explosion of Planet Vegeta trying to rebel against Frieza however, Bardock has been brought to his tournament due to his overwhelming powerful ability that has been seen in multiple other times. Bardock has achieved the Super Saiyan transformation in this timeline and has even achieved a level beyond it being able to become a Super Saiyan 3! Bardock's sole intent is to escape this prison and finally be able to connect with his son that he hasn't seen for all of Goku's life.
(Adjusting battle armor while being a bit shocked by Goku's overwhelming power) "It can't be! That can't be my son Kakarot! He had such a low power level when he was young and now his power is even greater than Frieza's! It's incredible!"
(After fully transforming into Super Saiyan 3 now having a deeper and more serious tone) "I'll show you the true power of a Saiyan warrior!"
(Charging up a ki blast full of anger shouting loudly) "Frieza! This is for my planet, my people, and for my son Kakarot! TAKE THIS!!!"
Frieza is the younger brother to Cooler and the tyrannical ruler of multiple galaxies. Frieza has conquered multiple planets and with his incredibly high power level, not many have been able to stop him. Frieza also has access to multiple transformations which increase his power detrimentally! Being Cooler's younger brother he tends to be more arrogant around his brother being that he has conquered more planets. Frieza's main goal is to escape and go back to conquering the universe but to also get rid of his brother for good securing his rule as Emperor.
(Laughing mockingly at Cooler) "Nonsense brother. You may have few planets under your belt, but I have a few galaxies under my control! It's clearly obvious who is the superior ruler."
(Full of anger shouting loudly at the last bit of the line) "I'll show you! HAAAAAAAAAAA!!!" (Now sounding more arrogant) "Behold my Golden form. With this, you have no chance of defeating me now!"
(Starring down Goku, Vegeta, Bardock, and Gohan angrily) "Filthy Saiyan monkeys! They think that their Super Saiyan transformation guarantees them a victory! I'll just have to put them in their place!"
King Cold is the proclaimed "ruler of the universe" and the father to both Cooler and Frieza. King Cold prides himself on the multiple galaxies and planets he's taken over as well as showcasing his tremendous power! Cold's arrogance may be one of his major flaws as it has killed him in previous timelines, however, after unlocking multiple new transformations Cold leaves a major threat to all the warriors as his power may be greater than both Frieza's and Cooler's! Cold's purpose of winning the tournament is so that he may return to his duties while as exterminating many others as way to prove his superiority
(Saying arrogantly and yet confidently) "Well look at that! Saiyan's, Namekians, and my own children! This sure to be a showcase of might, however, no one will compare to me."
(After transforming into his newly achieved augmented form now having a deeper tone and grueling voice) "You thought only Cooler could achieve such power?! Well, you are sorely mistaken!"
(Starring down Broly being very observant) "Ah. So this is the true power of the "Legendary Super Saiyan?" It's a rather unique transformation, however, I wonder how powerful it could truly be?"
Trunks is the son of both Vegeta and Bulma making him the next heir to the no longer existing Saiyan throne. This variation of Trunks is from the future and has come to the present timeline on multiple occasions. Trunks was the first to be captured and imprisoned in the Prison Planet by Fu unaware that this was all for a tournament. With that Trunks has no intention of winning the tournament and in fact, only intends on escaping and defeating Fu no matter the cost!
(Saying seriously and angrily towards Majin Vegeta) "Father... How could let this evil corrupt you?!"
(With anger and hatred in his tone) "Fu is nothing, but a madman! He's only doing this for his own entertainment not aware of what he is doing to Time! I have to stop no matter what!"
(Fully charged shouting loudly in rage) "AAAHHHHHHH! TAKE THIS! BURNING ATTACK!!!"
Perfect Cell is a bio-android created by Dr. Gero in order to enact revenge on Goku. Cell achieved his perfect form by observing androids 17 and 18. Cell is composed of DNA from Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, Frieza, and many others who have stepped foot on earth! With this Cell has access to all their abilities and attacks making him one of the most dangerous opponents the Z Fighters have ever faced! Cell being imprisoned in this tournament hasn't bothered him much in fact, he sees this as the ultimate opportunity to showcase his power and prove to the entire universe that he is the perfect life form.
(Starring down Gohan confidently) "So Gohan? This is all you've done in the past years? I'm honestly surprised at how defeated me back then because compared to me now you're nothing, but a warm-up for me!"
(Laughing sinisterly after Goku said to him "You're in for a surprise.") "Oh no Goku. You're in for a surprise!" (Saying loudly getting louder as the sentence progresses while the transformation occurred) "You think I'd come unprepared!"
(Rubbing off some blood from his lip after the strike from Goku giving off a very ominous and sinister tone) "Very well Goku. I suppose I'll just defeat you with one of your own tricks!" (Charging up getting louder with each word) "Ka... Me... Ha... Me... HA!!!!"
Goku Black is Zamasu a Kai who switched bodies with Goku using the power of the Super Dragon Balls. Having Goku's body gave him access to Goku's power of Super Saiyan and even his own variation of Goku's Super Saiyan Blue, Super Saiyan Rosé! With Goku's Saiyan body and his Godly mind, Goku Black is one of the most dangerous and deadly adversaries there is in this tournament. Being captured by Fu he shares different intentions to that of Goku's and uses this as a way to unlock Goku's body's true potential and use it to complete his "Zero Mortal" plan.
(Snickering at Goku watching him in pain) "Son Goku. It seems your own body will be the one to defeat you! Just like I did in my timeline!" (Laughing sinisterly at Goku)
(Breathing heavily after Vegeta's attack) "Seems Vegeta isn't a second fiddle after all! Well looks like I now have the opportunity to test out my new form! Are you prepared to see the true might of a god Vegeta?"
(Has more arrogance and elegance in tone after transforming into Rosé) "Well, what do you think of the color? Isn't divine and elegant? No matter. I'll now put an end to this!"
Caulifla is a female Saiyan from Universe 6 that took part in the tournament of power. She's proven herself to have the power to match up to Goku's Super Saiyan transformation and is one of very few female Saiyan's that have unlocked the power of the Super Saiyan transformation, but not just that. She's also been able to surpass the lengths of a regular Super Saiyan and has gone past it and achieved the Super Saiyan 2 transformation. Caulifla intends to use this tournament as a way to get stronger and with multiple variations of Goku around she would love no more, but to defeat all of them in the tournament!
(Is in shock by the multiple Goku's in the tournament) "Oh, you've got to be joking me! There's more than ONE of that old man! Well, I guess that means more training for me!"
(Annoyed by Broly's continuous screaming of the word "Kakarot") "Hey, male knockoff of Kale! You mind toning it down a bit I cannot focus with your obnoxious shouting!"
(Confused by the sight of Bardock and King Vegeta) " So those are the old men's dads huh? They look even more obnoxious than their kids..."
Kale is another female Saiyan who is from Universe 6. Kale has been close friends with Caulifla for years being Caulifla's protege and has now developed the habit of referring to Caulifla as "Sis." Kale also has the ability to transform into a Super Saiyan transformation, but not the same as Caulifla. Kale's transformation is similar to that of Broly's legendary Super Saiyan have a controlled form and a berserker form, however, no matter which forms she would use they both represent extremely powerful abilities. Kale is a very shy girl which makes it difficult for her to have any intentions during this tournament besides the fact of escaping.
(Shivering slightly in fear from the sight of Bardock) "T-That's Son Goku's dad?!... He sure is scary I wouldn't mess with him, Sis!"
(Hiding behind Caulifla after seeing Broly's Legendary Super Saiyan transformation) "Sis... His form is similar to mine! Only he looks a lot wilder and extremely brutal!"
(Gripping on to Vegeta's neck now in her suppressed Super Saiyan form sounding more violent and aggressive) "Prince of all Saiyan's?! More like Prince of all excuses!"
Son Gohan is the son of Goku and half-human half-Saiyan warrior. Ever since he was young Gohan has balanced a life of training with his father and the Z fighters with a life of studying for a better education. Gohan values his studies more than training, however, this does not mean he isn't a powerful fighter, in fact, he is one of the most powerful of the Z fighters and shows it whenever the Earth or the ones he loves are in danger. Gohan is one of the few that have broken the Saiyan barrier being the first one to achieve the Super Saiyan 2 transformation. Gohan's intent is to escape this prison with his father, daughter, and friends and is willing to fight for it.
(Marveled at the sight of his grandfather who looks extremely similar to Goku) "So... You're my grandfather?! That's incredible! You look exactly like my dad!"
(Shouting out in fear and worry) "Pan! NOOOOOOO!!!!" (Full of anger and rage in his tone) "That's it Cell! You've crossed the line this time and now YOU'll PAY!!!"
(Shocked by Cell's new transformation) "I-Impossible! How did you obtain a new transformation after being dead for years?!"
Super Buu is an incarnation of the creature known as Majin Buu. Super Buu is Majin Buu when both the good and evil halves have become one together forming an incredibly powerful fusion of themselves. Super Buu has all the powers of the regular Majin Buu as well as the ability to absorb people! This ability makes him more devious as he can easily absorb his opponent and steal their powers while increasing his immensely. Super Buu was imprisoned when Fu went back in time to the battle between him and the Z Fighters and captured him later imprisoning him. Super Buu sees this as a festival to him where he can immediately absorb his opponents or turn into candy for his own pleasure.
(Grinning deviously at Cooler with a sinister tone) "A man who declares himself to be Emperor of the universe? Well if you can't destroy the universe you can always destroy the emperor!"
(In shock by the number of powerful warriors in the tournament) "So many warriors! So much power! This means so much candy for Buu!" (Laughing maniacally)
(Confused after the question asked by all the Z Fighters of "How did you get here?!") "Buu is as confused as you are. I don't who or what brought me here, but all I know is that there's gonna be a lot of chocolate soon!"
Piccolo is one of the Z Fighters on planet earth and is from the Namekian species. Piccolo was born through the asexual reproduction of Namekian lifeforms and since then has become of the earth's most powerful warriors and only very few who've been able to match up to the likes of Goku, Vegeta, and Gohan. Piccolo has a strong connection towards Gohan ever since he trained him when he was just a little boy. This connection has made Piccolo less cold-hearted than how he previously was and more caring. Piccolo is marveled by the fact that many of his previous enemies that the Z Fighters have encountered are alive and in this tournament and wishes to know how they are alive and what is the true meaning of this tournament
(Starring down all of the previous enemies his encountered with an aggravated tone) "Something's fishy about this tournament. Cooler, Broly, King Cold. and all the other foes we've encountered are alive and are here meaning that there is something strange going on behind the scenes."
(Rushing to stop Gohan in his Super Saiyan Rage) "GOHAN!!! Calm down! Cell's already done for you've done enough! We don't need this to continue any longer.
(Charging up screaming loudly at the second part of the sentence) "It's ready! SPECIAL BEAM CANNON!!!!!!"
Fu is the mastermind and orchestrator of the Prison Planet tournament. Fu is a demon from the demon realm born as the child of both Towa and Mira. With such powerful parents Fu inherits that power and is one of the most powerful creatures to exist with his abilities to bend and travel through time. Fu has gathered many fighters from across all times in order to create a tournament of all-out mayhem with the opportunity of freedom on the line all for his own entertainment.
(Standing on top of a high podium with excitement in his voice) "Welcome one, welcome all to Prison Planet! I've gathered you all because you're the strongest fighters of your timeline and I do require some entertainment. So you'll all face each other and the winner of this tournament gets back their freedom."
(Starring down Trunks with a tone of disgust) "That Trunks is always messing around with my plans! I guess I'll have to take care of him myself!"
(Watching the battle between Gogeta and Vegito with curious and excitement in his tone) "A fusion VS fusion battle! Oh man, I'm glad I brought multiple Goku's and Vegeta's!"
