Dragon Age Oath Breaker Audio Drama
Project Overview
Thank you so much for your interest in this casting call. This project is an original audio drama for a licensed video game property (Dragon Age) and will not make any sort of profit. While there are no current plans to crowdfund (due to copyright reasons), if we can find a way to compensate the voice actors, we absolutely will. However, as it stands, Oath Breaker is currently a passion project and all voiceover work will be on a voluntary basis.
No previous experience is needed, but I do ask that you have at least a USB mic. No gaming headsets and no phones please! No previous knowledge about Dragon Age required, but it is helpful.
I'm mainly looking for people to fill in the 100+ supporting/extra roles this project will end up having, but I'm also looking to fill the lead role. So if you have a bit more free time that you could dedicate to this project, consider auditioning for that role :) The lead role is open to all genders.
Audition deadline is 11:59PM PST, Monday, November 29th.
MP3 files are preferred.
Please label your files as ROLE_YourName (RC_YourName for Reoccurring Characters).
Please submit one file per character, if auditioning for multiple roles.
2-3 takes per line in ABC format.
This project will be a long term commitment.
If auditioning for the lead role, please be ready to commit to at least one year of work. There will be a new script each month for you to record on your own time. You will be invited to the Discord server to keep up-to-date with the project.
If auditioning for reoccurring characters, you will be contacted as needed. There are ten main characters that have their own friends and families— all of them needing a voice. You may be brought on for multiple characters, but there could be long periods where there are no lines for you to record. You will be given adequate warning when your character(s) are expected to show up and at least two weeks to record your lines. So please keep this in mind and be ready to commit, should we need to call on you a few months down the road. You can choose whether or not you want to join the discord group or if you rather just have the information and lines emailed to you.
If auditioning for extras, you will be given a few lines to read. We would love to give as many people an opportunity to join this project as possible, so we will bring on 6-10 people to be a constant extra then bring guest extras on board. Constant extras will have a few lines per episode, whereas guest extras will have a few lines in one episode only. Constant extras will have a choice to join the Discord or get necessary information via email. Guest extras will receive information via email only.
We will be compiling a backlog of episodes before releasing them to the public in case of any delays in recording. Consistent release is a very important goal for us.
