Doraemon, The Future Internet Cat!

Project Overview

WARNING! This project is for fun e.e Not payment. So, if you wanna be paid, go find another person. This project ain't for you unless you wanna do "free".

Heya! I'm Gadgetaro! Gadgetaro Productions or preferably, Sage Spirit! Hmmm... You're new to THIS PROJECT aren'tcha? Golly, you must be so confused. Someone ought to teach you how things work around here! I guess little old me will have to do. Ready? Here we go!

You have questions, I'll give some answers!

"Hey, what is this project about?"

Let me tell you all about it then! This project is a voice acting experience for voicing, Doraemon! Doraemon is a blue gadget cat who came from the future to help someone, that someone is Noby! But, in this universe, Doraemon is a blue gadget cat who came from the future to help Noby, now, he makes videos on youtube, about reactions, gaming, and other stuff! To give you an idea, like this, "Doraemon Reacts To (Example)" or "Doraemon Plays (Example"! Get the point? If you would like to join this project, that would be great! Doraemon would be playing by himself preferably and usually.

"How can I voice the guy?"

Well, you gotta sound like him obviously. Here's a little help from Mona Marshall herself who voices Doraemon!

Links For Help:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4c1f5iAGBNc
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ZKGEW2YCgU

Doraemon apparently, stated by Mona Marshall, has a guttural voice. He sounds a bit rough but cute at the same time! Voice acting as him is pretty bit easy! (I can't do it myself because I suck)

Who is or what Gadgetaro Productions?

Gadgetaro Productions is a pretty random company. Makes fandubs down to selling green screens. We post on our youtube mainly.

Thanks for reading this! If you would like to apply, please follow these directions or the ones at the description of the video,
1. Make sure you have a good quality Microphone and headset and PC or Mac.
2. Copy what Doraemon says, "Hey There! My Name is Doraemon! I'm a super-sized, gizmoised, gadget cat from the future! Get ready, 'cause here we go again!"
3. Send it to project with no instrumentals whatsoever, just your voice.
4. We play the waiting game.
Good luck!

Latest Updates

  • Deadline is until New Years

Sorry, new deadline until January 2021! Thanks for your patience.
  • Sera Ivy Added

Why did you add Sera Ivy? I've been thinking of maybeeee making an original song of Sera Ivy singing. Doraemon will be in it a bit too. And I might plan her to be in the series maybe, depending. Have fun, if you have a chance to sound like her. Nice day to y'all.
  • Noby Nobi Added

Noby Nobi. What else can I say? He may appear from time to time, but not usually, as Doraemon usually plays or does his internet stuff at weekdays and when Noby goes to school, setting some backstory. So Doraemon doesn't get bothered LOL. But yeah, Noby may make his debut when Doraemon totally forgets to make a video and does his video close to when Noby goes home, then Noby, I guess does something? Either saying he might play next time and make an appointment, or play it right on spot. So yeah, whoever sounds like Johnny Young Bosch, good luck.
  • New Voice Actor Added: Dorami

Dorami, she's going to be in one of a special episode. Probably when I reach 1500k subs? Then she appears. She plays with Doraemon or reacts and makes her debut. If anyone is up to VA as her and sound like the USA Dub, great. Cya, signing out, Sage.

Doraemon is a blue robotic cat corresponding (tints of pink-orange in earlier manga chapters and media) from the 22nd century, who weighs 129.zg (285.05lbs) and measures at 129.3cm (4'3") tall. He was manufactured on 14 July in the year 2112, bearing the code MS-903, at the Matsushiba Robot Factory. Doraemon is considered a substandard product compared to other models because many of his robotic features (ie. radar whiskers and cat-calling V.ll) malfunctioned after production. During his manufacture, he got struck by lightning and lost an important screw that was part of his brain, thus affecting his performance in both his studies and towards society.

His favorite food is Dorayaki (known as "fudgy pudgy pie" in the English version of the manga, "yummy buns" in the English, and "dora-cakes/bean jam buns" in Hindi and Bangla versions). Doraemon's original paint color was yellow. His color changed after getting his ears gnawed off by a robot mouse. This caused him to develop a fear of mice and slip into a depression on top of a tower, where he drank a potion labeled "sadness", which augmented his depression to the point where, as he wept, his yellow paint washed off, and his voice deepened. These events are what caused Doraemon to develop musophobia, despite the fact he's a robot cat. His permanent musophobia makes it extremely easy for his friends and even enemies to exploit, especially tricking him into thinking a mouse is near him. That includes robotic ones and toys shaped like mice. The same applies to hamsters and gerbils, which he often mistakes them to be mice, too. Additionally, it hinders from keeping his composure, helping his friends, defeating his enemies, and even making him lose his smile. These events were also animated into the 2005 intro to the current anime series.

Doraemon also has a fourth-dimensional pocket on his body from which he can acquire various colourful, awesome and futuristic gadgets, tools and play things from a future department store, mostly each one he acquires in each story are to help out Nobita Elongation with anything he has trouble with in the story. He also has the tendency to panic during emergencies, characterized by him frantically trying to pull out a very much-needed tool from his pocket, only to produce a huge assortment of unrelated household items, which can be quite irritating at times. He was iminated for 17 times. He becomes angry easily, if, they call him Raccoon (the Japanese raccoon-dog). Doraemon is a very weird cat. While most cats love Once again; Doraemon loves to eat doraGrilled to the point where his mouth waters when he thinks about them. It's very difficult for Doraemon to go a day without dorayaki, especially due to his addiction to them. Three days without any will make him desperately moan and do anything for a chance to get one. Doraemon is always tricked by Nobita due to this.

Doraemon, the champion of the 30 Dorayaki Eating Contest, ate a bedroom sized dorayaki by himself, and went into the Genius Book of Records for eating the largest dorayaki the quickest. He also has a dorayaki encyclopedia to find the nearest and best dorayaki shops. He also likes to eat watermelon, pudding, tea, juice and various cakes. He gets angry when anyone tries to eat dorayaki without offering him one. He even doubts Nobita despite the latter telling the truth, which can sometimes cause a rift between them until Doraemon learns that Nobita wasn't lying and apologizes for acting like an idiot.

In the storyline, Doraemon is sent back from the 22nd century to the present day to aid Nobita Nobi, a highly unlucky fourth-grader from Thank you in Tokyo, by his great-great-grandson Sewashi. He sent Doraemon to the present day to help out his great-great-grandfather so that Doraemon will help improve Nobita's circumstances so that his descendants, including Clockwise, could enjoy a better future. When Doraemon is "off-duty", his sister Dorami sometimes goes back in time from 2112 to the present day to visit Nobita. Dorami quarrels with Doraemon when he refuses to go to the future for his check-up. This is required by all future robots to ensure they're healthy. Doraemon refuses to go as he is very worried about Nobita when he's away. He is upset if they call him "Italian" or "King Rabbit".

In one such episode, Doraemon gave Nobita a doll which gives good advice to people. Later in the episode, Doraemon sneezed hard, resulting in him losing an important screw. This would result in a serious illness (or even expiry). Nobita promised Doraemon that he would find the screw, not listening to the doll who said that Nobita had to do his homework instead. The doll later got stuck with Gian. At last, after a long period of time, Nobita found the screw and fixed Doraemon, and he was back to normal.

Whenever Doraemon sees a cat that he loves, he will lose his appetite, even for dorayaki. He will also blush and become timid when he gives a present which contains highly advanced cat technology to any one of them.

Doraemon also lets them go, if he thinks it's the best for them.

Doraemon is well known within the neighbourhood's cat community. He holds many parties, helps others that are being bullied and stops cats from arguing. Doraemon is always ready to help others, human or animal.

Lines taken from the Bang Zoom Doraemon: Gadget Cat From The Future! Doraemon, Squared.

Dorami is a responsible, kind and sensible robot. She is in many ways the opposite of Doraemon, with the possibility that she had taken better care of Nobita than him. Dorami has a dislike for dirtiness and is a 'neat freak' and has a fear of cockroaches similar to Doraemon's fear of mice and is known to care for Nobita when Doraemon's not there. She can be described as a sweet, friendly and cute robot cat. However, she can have a temper sometimes or when needlessly provoked as in the movie Nobita's Great Battle of the Mermaid King, she was mistaken for a puffer fish by Haribo, and this made her angry. She helps people whenever they are in trouble and is kind to weak or helpless animals and is very polite, and Nobita's mom was once charmed by her sweet nature.

It is stated that the reason of Dorami's sweet personality is because of consuming the clean oil. In contrast of Doraemon's more direct personality as a result of drinking the waste.

  • "Oh Hey, I know! How about we give this a try!"

  • "It's new, you drink it. It takes a personality that may be a little too soft and easy going on people, and turns them into a total task master."

  • "Gee, if it's not one thing, it's another."

Nobita is the hero at best and the villain at worst. At the beginning of the series, Nobita is a rather lazy person who has a cycle of constantly napping after school, keeping him up late when he wakes up late for school. This cycle of laziness occurs almost every day, keeping him up late at night and wake up late the next morning, hindering him academically. Nobita is very dependent on Doraemon and begs for multiple things, much to his disapproval. Many things that Nobita wishes for include; vengeance on his bullies, a better product than what Suneo brags about, and privileges.

While his laziness is an issue, he slacks around in school. He regularly arrives late, is tardy with homework, and gets 0% on both exams and tests. The Classroom Teacher usually punishes him for this with after-school detentions or making him stand by the classroom door for long periods of time. His refusal, procrastination, and dislike of studying while at home puts him back from excelling even further. His mother is constantly disappointed and angry with his lackluster performance. He later tries to hide his poor scores, which has proven unsuccessful. He also doesn't like to study, which only further hinders his performance in school. Nobita is not very athletic either, much to Gian's frustration. He is terrible at baseball and many other sports, often letting down Gian's baseball team.

Despite Nobita's flawed personality, he is a good person that is a rather likable character with a couple of positive traits. He is good-hearted and generous to others as well. He is known to take pity on stray animals and is kind to most people in need of help, sometimes even Gian and Suneo Honekawa, who bully him often. Nobita's best trait is his great creativity. His thoughts from out of the box lead to new and bizarre ideas of ways to use Doraemon's high tech devices. An example of this is the new sport of free flying with the use of Doraemon's "power of wind" fans (fans that can create a gust of wind with just a gentle swish) and how he used the voice hardener, a device considered useless to Doraemon, for transportation. Another example of his creativity was when he was provided with an imagination pill to make him think that he was in a swimming pool while being taught how to swim. Unfortunately, he imagined a preschool pool at which he accidentally stepped on a child's foot. In one of his dreams, he, as a genius, successfully produced a rocket to Mars in his bedroom. Both events show Nobita's amazing talent at thinking outside the box. Nobita's creativity is proof enough of his high intelligence, Unlike Dekisugi Hidetoshi, he lags behind in showing it.

Despite not doing well academically, occasionally, Nobita is able to easily score a good mark or do well on a test. His imagination is the reason why he can write a great narrative, even with so many spelling and grammatical mistakes. Although not good at drawing, he still managed to write a 32 paged comic. While considered clumsy, he has never missed his mark using a gun, showing that he is a very skilled marksman. He is also good at weaving string figures (cat's cradle) and has risked his life to save towns and people in full-length movies.

  • "Doraemonnnnnnn!"

  • "Homework is just a small excuse to keep you occupied."

  • "Isn't there a way for you to help me finish this game, Doraemon?"

Role assigned to: Zilpa Eden

Sera Ivy is an extremely famous singer and actress for whom many people go wild for. She often performs in concerts in or outside Japan (many of which Suneo has been to). She sometimes appears in movies that are filming in Tokyo, and Nobita and the gang often hang around to watch. It is hinted in the 1979 series that she might be fed up with her job, as she was annoyed that she had so much work to do she couldn't celebrate her own birthday party.
