Detective Conan "Episode ONE Special" Fandub
Project Overview
Hey! We're Infinity Productions and we dub clips and episodes of Detective Conan. The "Episode ONE Special" is a 1.5 hour special released in 2016 which recapped and elaborated on the first episode of Detective Conan. This is the largest project we have taken the challenge of dubbing, and we need as much help as possible. Many characters in this special are exclusive to Episode ONE, but recurring characters will be noted in their description. We require that you have some experience in Voice Acting, and have a decent recording setup, including a Blue Yeti or XLR Microphone (Similar to that of an AudioTechnica2020), a decent recording space with no echo, a pop filter, etc. If we feel that you may suit the part you audition for, or if we feel you may suit another part that you did not audition for, we will ask for a method of contact, preferably Discord. Good luck with auditioning, we really look forward to working with some of you!

Masumi Sera is a tomboy, commonly mistaken for a boy due to her physique. She is a teenage detective, and close friends with Ran Mouri, and Sonoko Suzuki. Her mother is Mary Sera, and her brothers are Shuichi Akai and Shukichi Haneda,
What do you mean we have to switch hotels, mama? I don't think Conan will find us here.
Why are your sleeves rolled up like that? To me.. It looks like a kid's been wearing them...
I guess I'm a bad kid after all...
RECURRING CHARACTER. A member of the evil crime syndicate, the Black Organization. An expert in reconnaissance and disguise, she sneakily acts without warning. Although she has the appearance and voice of a middle aged woman, she has suspiciously managed to keep the same appearance for 20 years. She holds a special soft spot in her heart for the protagonists, Shinichi Kudo and Ran Mouri, the angels that saved her life. Although she only has a cameo appearance in this episode, she is an extremely important character in the future, and if you are casted we will certainly be asking you to work with us again :)
(on the phone with another organization member) Well, I've gotta run! I have an F.B.I kitten on my tail. I'll see you there, Gin.
A secret makes a woman, woman...
(although not an actual line from Episode ONE, she is screaming at Ran Mouri to move out of the way while she is saving the life of a girl that Vermouth is trying to kill. An extremely intense and empathetic moment) MOVE IT, ANGEL!!!
RECURRING CHARACTER. Mother of the Female Protagonist. Strong lawyer lady. Is separated from her Private Investigator drunkard husband. Still loves him but so tired of his BS. LOL. Looking for an older woman voice.
(warning her daughter/salty) Be careful of detectives who are also your childhood friends.
(challenging her husband/sort of teasing/pretending she didn't hear his HEARTFELT CONFESSION) Oh? Are you certain you didn't mistake "beloved" with "most hated"? Well, I hope you've learned your lesson and will drink a bit less from now on, Mr. Mustached Sexual Harasser.
I-I think he said.... "I... I love you... more than anyone else in the world"
RECURRING CHARACTER. Vodka is a grunt-like assailant of the "Black Organization," a large mysterious crime syndicate responsible for feeding the protagonist (Shinichi Kudo) a poison causing his body to shrink to the size of a seven year old. His close adviser is Gin, a murderous, wrathful higher-up of the same organization. He speaks with a somewhat "Brooklyn" accent, almost resembling the mafia.
(getting in the face of someone questioning their crime syndicate) Hey! And what exactly do you know about our organization? Huh!?
(tries to pull out his gun on the "pesky kid from earlier" that followed them) Ah- Don't tell me, it's that kid from earlier! Damn, I'll finish him now.
(in total and utter shock, someone was just decapitated on a roller coaster, shouting) Wh- What the hell?!!!
The mother of the female protagonist's (Ran Mouri) best friend (Sonoko Suzuki.) She's a rich aristocrat who wants to uphold the Suzuki Family name.
What do you want, Sonoko? How impolite of you not to knock first.
But she's truly an embarrassment… She doesn't even realize that she’s going to inherit the Suzuki Corporation…
That's the latest uniform made by the Suzuki Corporation fiber makers, done with revolutionary ultralight material!
Heavyset, polite aristocrat. Husband of Tomoko Suzuki, and the father of Sonoko Suzuki. He is the chairman of the Suzuki financial group.
Ran's father is a former police detective, and is now running his own private detective agency in the area.
Ah well, Mr. Sewa was going to host a New Year’s party at his mansion in a few days…
(quavering sighs)
A tough High School girl who practices Karate. Has a friendly rivalry with the Female Protagonist, Ran Mouri. They both compete in a Karate tournament. Requires many screaming, fighting, and grunting lines.
(defending herself against a criminal) Oh! A knife, huh? Then I guess... maybe I should go all out, too.
(after defeating the criminal, she stands over him in a fighting stance) Heeeyyah! Wanna continue?
(fighting noises while sparring against Ran Mouri)
Girl that appears during a roller coaster scene with another group of people. After her boyfriend is decapitated on the roller coaster, she is the prime suspect. While in reality, she was framed for the crime
(surprised gasp) No way... I’ve never seen that before in my life! (referring to a knife - the framed murder weapon - placed in her bag)
(long screaming) (after seeing her boyfriend's decapitated head)
