Project Overview
What is this?
Deception is a animation game series! It is used using The Sims 4.This particular project is going to be edited and framed in such a way to try and remove most, if not all, of the gameplay elements such as the UI in an attempt to make the experience less invasive and more "cinematic" in a sense.
For those of you unfamiliar with the premise: I was inspired by TrapGS and her series was called Breakout! You can find it on YouTube. The voice actors made everything come to life and that is why I need you guys. Deception has a bunch of twists and turns starring Mila and Saint. Mila has been with her long-term boyfriend (Saint) for several years without a ring, or any solid commitment. They have 2 kids together, and she's pregnant with #3! He has cheated on her in the past and she has become fed up. Mila really loves Saint and wants to make it work, but the next time he cheats, she is prepared to walk away. Mila is talented and eager to begin her career as a professional artist. Saint is a charming guy but he has a problem with commitment and although Mila is the woman he loves, he somehow can't help but to put his family in jeopardy when he steps out. Deception will be at least 7 episodes!
Requirements:
Since this is a paid project that I am funding out of my own pocket: a significant level of technical and performance quality is going to be expected. Please ensure that your microphone is capable of recording your performance without picking up overwhelming background noises or excessive peaking/clipping. You have to have a Discord so we can communicate. If your selected and decide you don't want to do the project at any point please let me know in advance so I can try to re-cast for that role! For this reason payments will be made after ALL lines are completed for each EP. TO MAKE THIS CLEAR YOU WILL BE PAID AFTER EACH EPISODE! You must be 18+ as this film will have strong language, abuse, drugs sex and more, its for a mature audience so be advised!! ALL AUDIO MUST BE SENT IN MP3 FORMAT! ALL THE INFORMATION YOU NEED WILL BE SENT ALONG WITH THE SCRIPT IMMEDIATELY AFTER CASTING.
Casting in Regards to Payment:
As I mentioned above- this project is going to be funded directly out of my pocket.
Payment is going to be on a per case/episode basis: you will be paid for each case your role appears in. The listed price is the price of which you will be paid for their first appearance, subsequent appearances may change depending on total line count for a given case. As stated above I will pay via PayPal, after lines are complete, payments will be made as the funding becomes available- this method allows me to pay more to each role as I can garner some additional savings between each pay period at work during these times.
Role Significance:
Obviously leading roles are going to be paid the highest amount as they will be appearing most frequently and deserve to be accommodated accordingly, but certain "supporting" and "minor" characters have recurring appearances throughout the game, have an incredibly important impact on the events of the story, or simply have a significantly higher amount of dialogue in the fewer instances where they appear compared to other characters of similar "significance" (example: Alayna, Red, Dallas, Cortney and a few more has an incredible amount of dialogue. As such the pay for the roles may vary from other characters in the same classification. This is not a mistake or oversight: each actor is being compensated according to the requirements that will be expected of them. After your casted the script for episode #1 will be sent to you immediately and I need it back within a week, so be prepared! I have soo many different roles that are not listed. It varies from young adult to elder so I encourage you to participate and try to have fun with it!
Payment:Payments will be made on a per case/episode basis (i.e: when payments are made for "Deception" payment for "Deception" will be sent some weeks later after I receive the lines of each EP, and so on until payments for each case are complete.)Payments will be sent exclusively through PayPal only- if you do not have a PayPal account do not expect to be paid as part of this project.
A few final notes:
1.) Each role will have the suggested guidance and ideal performance parameters I have in mind for each character, but the beauty of acting is taking the same premise or direction and presenting it with your own unique flair. 2.) Discord isn't required, but it is recommended as we utilize it to organize group rehearsals, deliver announcements, and distribute scripts (it's also been an incredibly useful tool for getting to know the people affiliated with the project and we've had a fair bit of fun with it). 3.) If you are casted and you feel another way of communication is better and works better for you please feel free to email me and I will take it into account.
