ABOUT
Hi there! I'm Gravie, and I'm looking to make an English fandub of the event "Dear Comet Orchid ~Let's Dance Now!~" from the videogame Umamusume: Pretty Derby. This event contains around forty minutes of content to be fully voiced and edited.
I will be doing the voice for Daitaku Helios, one of the two leads. However, I currently need several more female voice actors to bring life to the remaining lead, side, and extra roles. I am also looking for video editors to help put the final product together!
INFO TO KNOWThis is an unpaid and volunteer-based passion project. Although this is a one-off fandub video, this project will require some level of commitment and dedication. Deadlines will not be strict, but if issue arises, you are expected to communicate them when possible. If those casted cannot properly fulfill their roles and communicate with team members, they will be recast.
REQUIREMENTS- 16+. This is not due to any content in the event story and is more due to personal preference. Applies to both VAs and staff.
- You don't need a professional microphone, but I expect something at least semi-decent that can deliver your performance without major issue or distortion.
- Include your Discord in your audition. The work for this project will be held in a private server. Auditions without a Discord username listed will be dismissed. Applies to both VAs and staff.
- You only need to do one take per line, but several is preferred. If doing 2+ takes per line, please state format (EX: AABBCC/ABCABC)
- Voice Actors don't need to be exactly like the references, but a level of similarity is preferred. At the end of the day, performance matters more than impression.
- DO NOT SLATE! (Again, personal preference)
There will be an active shortlisting and dismissal process.

If a role is open, it could mean many things - I haven't found the right fit, I'm still undecided, and so on. However, the most common reason is that several auditions lack a listed age and Discord and cannot be considered. If you see a comment under your submission asking for these, please reply!

Hello! Thank you so much for all the auditions so far. This is a small update regarding deadlines and auditions.
Deadlines
The current deadline is in six days, so get your auditions in!
However, even with the current deadline, only some roles may be casted. The only roles that are currently guaranteed to be casted on January 19th are the following:

If a role here isn't listed, it either means I am still undecided or haven't quite found what I am looking for yet. Please keep this all in mind!
Auditions
Some auditions have been listed without a mentioned Discord username. Discord is required for future project communication, and I am going to begin dismissing any submissions without one attached. If this happens to you, feel free to resubmit. This also applies to submissions without a mentioned age (16+ required!)

LEAD ROLE
A calm and elegant Umamusume who comes from a noble family. Due to her dignified demeanor, she can come across as aloof and unapproachable. She strives to follow in her mother's footsteps and earn the title of 'Best Date', searching for a dance partner that can match her passion.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High, softer voice
- Vocal and emotional clarity, despite inexpressiveness
- Clear similarity to voice reference
- Microphone that can pick up quieter voices with proper quality
- 16+

MAJOR SIDE ROLE
Helpful and kind-hearted, K.S. Miracle has a refreshingly calm personality. She almost single-mindedly goes out of her way to help those she cares about, regardless of the personal risk it puts her at. Despite her gentleness and frail body, K.S. Miracle is extremely determined, and is one of the leading figures in the dance's preparations.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Gentle medium-low voice
- Ability to show emotional variety and character reflection
- Clear similarity to voice reference
- Microphone that can pick up quieter voices with proper quality
- 16+
[Melancholic, reflective] Having fun, huh. I'm happy if everyone else is happy, but... I wonder if that's wrong...
[Surprise turning to contentedness] It's soft. My hands are warm... And pleasant. ..I see. Huh, Maybe I... ...Hehe. This is fun, Ruby.

SIDE ROLE
An aloof and airy Umamusume with a love for nature. She lives at her own pace, going anywhere and everywhere the wind may take her. Even with her free-spirited nature, she often worries for K.S. Miracle, doing her best to ensure her friend isn't working too hard for the sake of others.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Soft and wistful medium-high voice
- Ability to show emotional variety despite unenergized voice
- Clear similarity to voice reference
- Microphone that can pick up quieter voices with proper quality

[Deep in thought] No matter how much burden you put on yourself helping others.. You still hide it behind a soft, light breeze... Saying it's for "someone else."
[Happy, relaxed] Well, all of them are participating, I see. I feel prevailing winds are coming.
[Reflective] I'm sure, our bond is like this breeze... It may dissipate. But still.. Even so, it's very precious. I want you to be happy too. I want your wishes to come true too.

SIDE ROLE
A hot-blooded and passionate dreamer. She's a hardworking committee member who helps to set up the dance Daichii Ruby is practicing for. Though she may come across as fiery, she's very earnest, and she uses her past experiences and rivalries to support her friends the best she can.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Medium voice with energy and power
- Ability to do strong shouting, (unserious) passionate monologues, and so on
- Clear similarity to voice reference
- Microphone that can handle yelling without major distortion
- 16+
- This role contains a few lines of singing alongside Daitaku Helios. The singing is very casual, so it doesn't have to be great! However, if you want to include any examples of your singing, feel free to do so. (Optional)
[Reminiscent, glad] Yeah.. It was really fun. With Oguri, I worked hard, took the lead, and we danced our hearts out..!

SIDE ROLE
A female commentator who narrates races throughout the game. She is very enthusiastic, bringing life to whatever event she commentates with a powerful voice and speedy dialogue.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Medium voice with energy and power
- Ability to do strong shouting, passionate announcements, and so on
- Clear similarity to voice reference
- Microphone that can handle yelling without major distortion
- 16+
- This role has few lines, but all contain yelling, shouting, or projecting of the voice. Do not audition if this is not something you can do.
[Excited, loud commentary] Daiichi Ruby is coming up from the outside, Daichii Ruby is here! Will she take it?! She's crossing the line, she's done it!
[Enthusiastic, announcing] As expected, Daichii Ruby is strong! The brilliance of the "splendid family" has really blossomed in the sprinters world this generation!
This project will need two or three various female extras for the unnamed Umamusume students throughout the event story. Each extra will likely have around 1-5 lines. Due to how small the roles are, there are no specific audition lines! Drop your demos, reels, and whatever else here.

- Decent-quality mic

Video editor(s) will help assemble the final video that will be posted on Youtube. This may involve slight animation, text editing, and so on. Feel free to submit any portfolios here.
