Hey there. Are you a Dragon Ball Z Abridged Fan?
Dragon ball Z Abridged was created by TeamFourStar, and ran from 2008-2019. It was both a Parody and Love letter to the original DBZ property consisting of 60 Episodes from the Saiyan Saga to Cell Saga.
Team Four Star used to create countdowns on various topics from the Dragon Ball property (Such as Best Fights, Best Villains etc) as part of a series called DBCember. These existed as Christmas Advent calendar countdowns with a list entry each day from December 1st to December 24th.
This series ran from December 2014 - December 2021, and is something that I sorely miss watching each Christmas.
As DBZA acted as a fantastic Love letter to Dragon Ball Z, I was thinking that it might be a good time to make a fan created "Top 24 DBZA episodes" in the style of this DBCember format to be released over the same timescale in December 2023.
I've shortlisted the 24 episodes I feel are the best in the series, and am prepared to write the scripts and record them myself, but would love for other fans of the series to get involved in whatever way they want to, as I don't want to make this just about me.
There are roles for each of these 24 episodes for:
- A written review of the episode in question that I read (with a written credit), or
- A written review of the episode with your own voiceover or
- A voiceover of one of my scripts.
A prerequisite is to be a fan of the DBZA series. So if you would like to write perform for one of these episodes, then I'd love for you to sell to me why the particular episode is important to you.
