Project Overview
Hello, everyone. I am writing an original story and I'd love to make an audio book out of it. So, let me start by giving you the summary of my story:
From the beginning of time, the light and dark fae lived in different dimentions. The dark fae are cast out, the light fae believing they are above them. This makes the dark fae resent their other society. Reforming to the "evil" they are believed to be, the dark fae's queen, Queen Aerodaunis plans to overthrow and take over the light fae by killing the light side's queen, her own mother.
Queen Aerodaunis plans to use her teenage daughter, Nixie, to get an upper hand after learning her younger sister had a child who was both vampire and fae. Nixie was sent into the humans' relm to spy on her Aunt Abbadon and her family. As a young child, Nixie is molded to reflect the image of the dark fae: Evil and heartless. Nixie wears her mask well, but finds herself cracking when she meets a stranger named Dorian Erikson.
After spending many years with her Aunt, she's conflicted when it comes time to return to her mother. She is unsure of her future and what she wants to be. Nixie always thought she was pure darkness like her parents, but could she alone change the image of her side of the fae race?

Prince of the Dark Fae. He's Nixie's son. He's only eight and he's calm, almost emotionless at times, and he only cares for his mother. He once bit the ear off of a dark fae made that was holding him because he wanted Nixie. Due to the mistreatment his father did to him, Rinzu has developed a different personality. This personality is violent and the confusion Rinzu feels about feeling like two people causes him to speak in third person. Like his mother, he has a Brittish accent.
"Rinzu doesn't care, you're not Rinzu's Mother. You can't tell Rinzu what to do."
"Rinzu is Prince Rinzu. Prince Rinzu will be King someday, and King Rinzu'll remember this insult. Rinzu has good memory."
"Rinzu wants very much to take your eyes out. Can Rinzu have your pretty eyes?"
The Queen of the Dark Fae. She's refined and mischevious. She's cold hearted and isn't afraid to take out anyone who gets in her way, even her own people. She wants to take over the Light Fae and rule both societies of the Fae. She's the main antagonist of the first arc of the story. Like her daughter, she has a Brittish accent.
*Soft, dark chuckle* "Dear girl, you don't have a choice. I don't care what you want to do, you'll do as I command. Mother or not, I am still your Queen."
"Dearest little sister, you can't possibly think you have a chance at beating me? (Mocking laugh here) Oh, please. You talk down to me for being who I was always meant to be, but you're not so clean yourself, Abby. A halfling son? What would Mother say? Has she exiled you yet?"
"How dare you stand against me, Nixie? I am giving you one last chance, daughter. Fight on my side, or perish with the rest of these fools!"
Princess Abbydon's current husband. He's soft spoken, and very against violence. He avoids it whenever he can, but isn't scared to give his enemies the punishments they deserve. He cares for Alexzander like his own son, even though the boy despises him. He wants nothing more than to be close with Abbydon's son.
"Look, Alexzander, I may not be your father, but your mother is my wife. That means I'm a part of your life. Don't you think it will benefit us all if you come around to that fact? You have a little sister now, how long are you going to hate me?"
"I will never let you hurt them again. I don't normally get involved in things like this, but you've made it a.. Special occassion. My family is off limits!"
"Don't give me that look, Zander. I told you.. I love you like my own son. Just.. Ease up on your Mom, huh? For me..?"
Prince of the Light Fae, son of Princess Abbydon and Stephan. After his father's death, he's come to blame Abbydon for not protecting his father. After she remarried, Alexzander resents Karsh and his half sister, Yoko. He is cold towards his family and the only person he really cared for was his short lived girlfriend, a vampire named Mikki. Her untimely death pushes Alexzander further towards no longer trusting anyone in his life. He is calm and collected and hateful towards his family members.
"I don't care how long you've been with her, or how long you're staying. Don't you ever talk to me like your my father! I hate you, I wish she never met you! You can never replace him!
"Even if she was still alive.. It wouldn't matter.. She could never be with me. I'm only half vampire, it's against her family's rules to mix races.. I hate what I am.. I hate my parents for making me this way.."
(This line needs to be sarcastic) "What's the big shot Princess doing with us locals? Get tired of living the high life? (speak coldly) Tell me what you're really doing here, Nixie."
Queen of the Light Fae, she is kind and sweet. The loss of her husband leaves her grieving even after many years have passed. She plans to pass on her title to her daughter Abbydon since her eldest daughter is a dark fae. Desperate to rid the threat of the dark fae, Queen Qetsuiya plans to use Abbydon's halfling son to create an army. She is kind, but she isn't innocent.
"I am pleased to see you again, my child. Come, tell me how you've been. Have you.. Heard from Aelodaunis?"
"It's our only chance to stop Aelodaunis. The child's blood will create the greatest soldiers. They will easily destroy the dark relm. one life for the lives of many. I'm sure Abbydon will understand.. I hate to see her mourn the loss of her son, but it must be done."
"I am still queen, and while I am, you will obey me, Abbyon! Hand over the child, please don't make me take him from you."
Dorian's mother, and the head of the Specialists. She's kind, warm hearted, and very open towards Nixie when Dorien introduces her to his family. She's protective of her family and those her children care about. Having lost her husband in the vampire's war, she vows not to let any more wars break out by keeping tabs on the affairs of the magical races in the area. Like her children, she speaks in a southern accent.
"Don't be silly, sweetie. You're welcome to stay for dinner."
"Dorien, what's going on? Where have you been? We've been worried about you!"
"I may be getting old, but I am by no means weak. You'll pay for hurting Cecillia."
Dorian's older sister. She's kind, but she doesn't like magical creatures. After losing her father, she despsises them. When Dorian brings Nixie home, she was not happy about it. Like her mother and brother, she speaks in a southern accent.
"I don't like you, I don't trust you. Don't you dare hurt my brother, or I swear I will take care of you myself."
"You're home, little brother! You missed lunch, but I saved you some."
"You were.. With that girl again? After what happened to Dad, why do you trust these people? I'm telling you, Dorian, she can't be trusted."
Daughter of the dark Fae Queen, She is very proper and refined. Nixie is a cold girl with a soft heart. She tries to be tough, but she's very insecure and scared of what will become of her. She also has a Brittish accent.
"Yes, Mother.. I-I mean, my Queen.. Whatever you wish. I am your humble servent, willing to do your bidding."
"I know what I am. I am a fae of darkness, there is no good in my heart. I will kill you without a second thought if you get in my way."
"G-get away from me! You don't know what you're talking about, you don't know me! There is nothing good about me, nothing! (break down crying here) N-nothing.. There's nothing.. Good about me.. I'm just.. Evil.. I don't deserve your compassion, Dorian.."
King of the Dark Fae, he is usually silent and refined, letting his mild tempered wife handle everything. He is a man of few words, and even fewer emotions. He hardly shows interest in anything, even when Nixie would beg for his attention as a child. It isn't untilt he second arc that his personality starts to change. While remaining refined, he shows sides of him that mimic his wife; Mischevious and dark intentions. He becomes the antagonist fo the second arc. Like his wife and child, he has a Brittish accent.
"Hush, child, you do not speak while in our presence. Wait until we speak to you. Have you no manners?"
"You were my daughter once, you threw that away when you chose him over us. Now, former Princess Nixie Alleraine Blake, prepare for your demise.."
"This nonesense shall not continue. You are bethrothed to Silas. I will hear nothing more of it."
Dorien is a member of a family of Specialists; a group of people meant to keep the order between the magical species and the humans. They are usually not seen by anyone doing their work. Dorien is a nice, sweet guy, but he can become quickly cross when someone he cares about is in danger. He is Nixie's love interest, and he fell in love with her the moment he saw her. He adores her and wants nothing more than to help her see how beautiful she really is. He has a soft Southern accent.
"My name is Dorian, Ma'am. What a pleasure it is to be in your prescence. Might I ask your name?"
"Nixie, you don't have to be what your family wants you to be. You can become whatever you want. You told me you wanted to be a singer didn't you? Your future isn't written. Write your own story, don't live by the narrative your mother has written for you."
"Nixie! (his love just got hurt. These next lines need to be angry) How dare you attack a lady? You're the worst kind of filth. Now stop hiding behind your spells and take your punishment like a man! I won't let you get away with hurting anyone I care for!"
Silas is a dark fae, a cold and manipulative man. He's promised Nixie's hand in marriage, and he intends to get it, through any means. He has a seductive tone and a Brittish Acent. He's the antagonist of the third and final arc.
"How cute. You think you get a choice. You belong to me now, so stay still so I can kiss my bride. There's nothing wrong with a taste of what I've payed for."
"Love? (Curt dark laugh) Love have nothing to with this. This is about power. And how much more power can I get than to marry the next in line? Princess Nixie Blake."
"You think your prince will come save you? (laugh) You're more pathetic than I thought. Doesn't matter though. Once your rowned Queen, I'll take control of things."
Princess of the Light Fae, the youngest of Queen Qetsuiya's children. Being last in line, she will never take the throne, as it's passed down through first borns only. That doesn't bother her since she works as a scientist. She conspires with her mother to sacrifice Alexzander to make half Fae, half vampire soldiers. She's mischevious and loud. Often messing up her work, she doesn't let it get her down.
"We'll get it this time, I know it!"
"You don't mean that, Abby. We're still sisters.. We have to be. Please, tell me we are!"
"A hint of this, a quart of this, and.. Uh, nope, that didn't work. Well, back to the drawing board!"
The scientists that work with Princess Yoshine are loyal and enthusiastic about their work, though not all of them are okay with sacrificing Alexzander.
"Yes, Ma'am, we're right on it!"
"Are you ready? Now adding the final ingredient. Someone write this down!"
"Um.. Princess Yoshine..? I, uh.. I'm not really comfortable.. Murdering a kid.."
Princess of the Light Fae, she is next in line for the throne since her elder sister is a Dark Fae. She was sent to the humans' real when she was young, and she fell in love with and married a vampire named Stephan Heart. Sadly, two years after their son Alexzander was born, and war amongst the vampires broke out, and Stephan lost his life. Twelve years later Abbydon fell in love with a light fae named Karsh and married him. Abbydon is kind and welcoming. More of a pushover than anything.
"Don't be silly, Nixie, of course you can stay with us. You're family after all."
"When this is all over, things won't have to be this way. You won't have hide who you are anymore. I'm doing this for you sake. I love you, Zander."
"I won't let you hurt my family! Never will I bow down to the likes of you, Aelodaunis!"
Princess of the Light Fae, Yoko is the daughter of Princess Abbydon and Karsh. She's young and energetic, though easily scared. She doesn't like confrontation, taking after her father, and she has no experience in fighting. She's a light, carefree child with a big heart. SHe's very interested in Nixie because she doesn't know about the light and the dark fae being split up, having grown up in the humans' relm with her parents.
"Hey, I'm not a kid, I'm twelve years old, you jerk! I'm telling Mom!"
"Gotcha! (giggle) Now, you're it!"
"I.. Alex, I'm scared.. I don't wanna die!" (She's crying in this line)
