Project Overview
Set in a remote, nearly forgotten village hidden in a forest clearing, life is slow and survival-focused for the few families that remain. Clara, a young peasant girl lives in a crumbling thatched-roof home with her parents, relying on distant city work to make ends meet.
One day, the town's peace is shattered by the arrival of a mysterious exiled man, Raymond, fleeing from a rival city miles away. He delivers a wild warning: an attack is coming. The villagers dismiss him—until hours later, their worst fears come to life. Raiders on horseback burn the village, leaving destruction in their wake. Clara survives, but her parents perish in the flames.
As she grieves beside their bodies, the exiled man returns, injured but alive. Moved by compassion, he helps Clara to her feet, and together they begin a long trek to the main city, hoping for refuge.
Now, Clara and Raymond must move on and make new lives for themselves inthis unfamiliar city.
