Hey guys! As most of you Danganronpa fans already know, the demo for Danganronpa V3 was released on YouTube just a few days ago. Therefore, we'd like to take the opportunity and fandub said demo and fully voice the entire thing. I will be co-directing this project with TheBurningFaith. We have both contributed in the editing and voice acting department to Sonora Productions' Trigger Happy Fandub Project on YouTube. It's under previously completed works if you want to check it out. Speaking of Sonora Productions, that is also the channel this fandub will uploaded on. The roles of Makoto, Hajime, and Monokuma are already taken, as we want to keep consistency with our other projects so the VA's from those projects will be reprising their roles as the above characters. Also, even though TheBurningFaith and I are serving as the directors of this project, we will go through the audition phase without guaranteed self casting, so everyone can audition for and have a fair chance at nabbing the roles they want.
1. Good to great microphone quality. No background noise, headset or laptop microphones please.
2. Show emotion when you audition. We want this fandub to sound as good as possible.
3. You can audition for as many characters as you like, but keep in mind you will likely only be cast for one role.
4. If you are worried about spoilers for V3, as I know many of you probably are, do not worry on that front. Not only are we (your directors) attempting to remain spoiler free as well, but the events of the demo are exclusive to the demo and have no impact on the main story of V3.
5. While the English dub of the demo is on YouTube, we are not looking for you to imitate the official VA's. We are looking for the voices that we feel most fit the characters and display the most acting ability.
6. Please try to meet deadlines when we give them. However, we are flexible and more than willing to work with everyone if delays are necessary.
7. Most importantly, have fun! Just because we want this done well, doesn't mean you can’t have fun doing it!
Kaede is the Ultimate Pianist and the protagonist of Danganronpa V3. The demo takes place entirely from her point of view so there will be a LOT of talking for this character. For Kaede, we are looking for the voice of your typical teen girl as long as it's not too deep.
I guess I should start by introducing myself. My name is Kaede Akamatsu. (basic intro. nothing of note regarding tone)
D-Don't mess around with us! I would never...murder anyone! (angry tone)
What? This can't be happening, can it? It can't be... (horrified after seeing a dead body)
Shuichi is called the Ultimate Detective but actually feels unworthy of the title. He is timid and lacks confidence, but has keen investigation skills that he does not give himself enough credit for. For Shuichi, we are looking for a medium-high to high voice. Girls are also encouraged to audition for this role.
I'm...Shuichi Saihara. They call me the Ultimate Detective, but... (shy tone)
Ah, no...I don't have the credentials to call myself a detective yet. (shy tone again)
I believe Hajime is correct about the circumstances of Yasuhiro's murder. (a bit more confident than before)
Maki may be the Ultimate Child Caregiver, but she is quite apathetic towards her Ultimate talent, claiming she doesn't much care for children. She displays very little emotion and is very reserved when speaking to others. For Maki, a voice in the lower end of the medium range to the middle area of the medium range is preferable.
Maki Harukawa... Ultimate Child Caregiver... (blunt and uncaring, she is not very excited about her talent)
...Surprised? I don't look like someone who'd like kids, do I? (a little bit embarrassed, maybe even ashamed of her talent)
If we don't find the culprit, we'll die. I don't intend to just go with the easiest answer... (calm and collected tone that is also firm)
Kokichi is the Ultimate Supreme Leader, claiming to be the leader of a mysterious evil organization. He's mischievous and troublesome, but most importantly, he's a liar. For Kokichi's voice, we are looking for something on the higher side that gives off a playful, yet sinister, vibe.
I'm Kokichi Oma, the Ultimate Supreme Leader! (boisterous and over the top)
Who knows? I am a liar, after all. (matter of fact and calm)
Nee-heehee... I'm not telling youuuuu. (mischievous)
K1-B0, or Keebo, is the Ultimate Robot. As he is an actual robot, Keebo's intelligence comes from the AI installed in him by his creator. However, this AI is not perfect, and causes the subtleties of certain human interactions to be lost on him. Keebo's voice can be anything in the medium range to the lower levels of the high range.
I am K1-B0 (read as Kay One Bee Zero), the Ultimate Robot! But please, address me as Keebo! (a bit of an excited tone, just don't go overboard)
D-Don't mock me! I have studied the complete history of stand-up comedy! (angry tone due to Kokichi's teasing)
Please do not ask ridiculous questions! (embarrassed and angry tone, again due to Kokichi's teasing)
Rantaro doesn't know what his Ultimate talent is. However, he's not overly concerned about not knowing and is excited to find out what his talent is. For Rantaro, we are looking for any kind of medium voice.
My name is Rantaro Amami. I can't remember my ultimate talent at the moment... But I promise, I'm not a bad guy. Nice to meet you. (calm and relaxed tone)
Haha, well then, we've got nothing to worry about. (calm and amused)
So, what do you think? It would be unfair to us if you said no, agreed? (a hint of craziness in his voice for this line, he sounds fairly threatening)
Miu is the Ultimate Inventor, though Ultimate Vulgarity would almost be more appropriate. She insults nearly everyone she meets and makes sexual joke after sexual joke. Therefore, if you audition, please be comfortable saying some things that would make everyone around you uncomfortable. For Miu's voice, we were hoping you guys could surprise us.
I'm the gorgeous girl genius whose good looks and golden brain will go down in history! (boisterous and over the top)
I'm the one, the only, the legendary Ultimate Inventor herself - Miu Iruma! (boisterous and over the top, again)

Kaito is the Ultimate Astronaut who took and passed an exam to become an astronaut designed for college graduates while he was still in high school. While he is intelligent in regards to space and other matters pertaining to his Ultimate talent, he appears to be a bit slower to grasp more practical concepts. For Kaito, we are looking for a voice in the lower end of the medium range, to the higher end of the deep range.
I'm Kaito Momota, Luminary of the Stars! Even crying children adore the Ultimate Astronaut! (excited and boastful, but not in an overly arrogant or snobbish way)
How about it?! I'm an astronaut! Isn't that cool?! (boastful tone)
Hey shut up, you stupid bears! Don't interrupt our investigation! (angry tone)
Himiko is the Ultimate Magician who believes magic to be real, getting upset when people claim that all she does is magic tricks. She is very unmotivated and lazy and her voice should reflect that. For voice type, something on the higher side, but again, lazy and unmotivated is the key here. She is borderline monotone.
Prepare to be amazed. Fall to your knees. I am Himiko Yumeno, the Ultimate Mage. (almost excited here, but still tired sounding for the most part)
But...I'm officially called the Ultimate Magician. (more embarrassed tone as she is forced to reveal her true talent)
Nyeh...magic does exist. Because...I'm a mage. (moping/dejected tone here as she was just told that magic doesn't exist)
Angie is the Ultimate Artist. She is incredibly devout to the religion of her island, channeling her god Atua in her everyday life and conversations. Her devotion to Atua borders on fanaticism. Also, since Angie grew up on a more isolated island, she has a bit of an accent. It's hard to describe her accent, as I don't recognize it, so if you want to find an example, you can watch her introduction in the demo. For Angie, a voice in the higher range is preferable.
My name is Angie Yonaga! I'm the Ultimate Artist! (excited tone)
The god of my island, Atua, is always with me, speaking to me with His divine voice... (Angie appears to be lost in thought for this line, thinking more about Atua than the ongoing conversation she is involved in)

Korekiyo is the Ultimate Anthropologist and finds the human form fascinating, to a disturbing degree. He is a bit of a creep with his obsession over humans and his voice should reflect that. For his voice type, we are looking for lower-medium to lower-high.
My name is Korekiyo Shinguji... I am called the Ultimate Anthropologist. (Calm tone)
I believe...that human beings are creatures who possess infinite beauty. (a hint of craziness and obsession, just don't over do it)
As long as there is room for debate, it is rash to decide upon the culprit. (composed and serious)
Kirumi is the Ultimate Maid, said to be able to complete anything requested of her. She speaks with a sort of refined elegance that would be expected of a maid, so we are looking for a voice that is not only on the deeper side for a girl, but also a voice that contains that sort of elegance.
I am Kirumi Tojo, the Ultimate Maid. Please let me know if you require my service. (calm and elegant)
I once received a request to annihilate a rival nation, but as it was impossible, I rejected it. (calm and elegant, again)

Ryoma is the Ultimate Tennis Pro who took down an entire Mafia organization using his Ultimate Talent, killing them all with a metal tennis ball. He decided to throw away his future because he felt he no longer needed one set in stone for himself. For Ryoma's voice, deep is the way to go. And we mean DEEP. If you think you can possibly go any deeper, you aren't deep enough yet.
Ryoma Hoshi, the man called the Ultimate Tennis Pro...no longer exists. I'm nothing more than his empty shell. (stoic and calm)
No...it's nothing. It's not like me to talk so much. (slightly embarrassed)
Anyway...I'm warning you. It's dangerous to just walk up to a killer like me. (intimidating tone)
Gonta is the Ultimate Entomologist who speaks in broken English due to the fact that he was raised by wolves until he was 10 years old. He is very passionate about his talent and bugs, and he hopes to one day be considered worthy of being called a gentleman. For Gonta, we are looking for a semi deep voice, but are willing to consider voices in the medium range as well.
Ummm... Gonta's name is Gonta Gokuhara. Gonta's talent is Ultimate Entomologist. (shy tone)
Gonta want to become gentleman! Becoming true gentleman Gonta's goal! (excited tone)
You...hate bugs? Y-You...hate bugs?!?! (Getting progressively angrier)
Tsumugi is the Ultimate Cosplayer. She is very proud of her talent, but doesn't actually wear the cosplays she makes, instead preferring to have other wear them. However, she would rather wear her cosplays herself and treat them with love and care than give them to people who would disrespect her work. For Tsumugi's voice, we are looking for something from the upper level of the medium range to the lower level of the high range.
Oh, my name is Tsumugi Shirogane. I'm the Ultimate Cosplayer. (calm and reserved)
Umm... I don't really like being watched by people... (slightly embarrassed)
But lately more cosplayers are putting themselves before their characters. I'd rather wear my outfits myself, with love, than give them to such people. (calm tone for the first sentence, a hint of craziness in her voice for the next sentence)
Tenko is the Ultimate Aikido Master that hates men even more than she loves Aikido. She has a weakness for compliments from other girls, but will throw a boy across the room if they come near her. For Tenko, we are looking for someone capable of all kinds of vocal expressions, from embarrassment to boisterousness to anger. For voice type, something on the deeper end of the medium range to the upper end of the low range would work.
Oh, yes! I'm Tenko Chabashira! HAIYAH! The Ultimate Aikido Master! (excited tone)
Aaaahhh... St-Stop iiit... I...I-I'm not...cute... (incredibly embarrassed after receiving a compliment)

Monotaro serves as the leader of the Monokubs, though one wouldn't know it from his childish and mischievous nature. He has trouble keeping his siblings in line and focused, mostly because he's too scatterbrained to keep even himself focused. For Monotaro, we are looking for something quite high pitched.
We're the Monokubs! Nice to meetcha! (almost kind, energetic)

Now it's time for a new segment to begin... The Mass Panic Debate! (boisterous, like an announcer)
Monosuke is perhaps the most intelligent and definitely the most rational member of the Monokubs, often forcing him to be the one responsible for keeping his siblings focused. For Monosuke, we are looking for a voice in the medium range that comes off as snobbish and arrogant.
Y'know, for a protagonist...your reaction to us was pretty boring. (arrogant tone)
No shit, Sherlock. I mean, look at us. We're clearly his flesh-and-blood cubs. (sarcastic for first two sentences, arrogant tone for third sentence)
No one wants to watch a literal nonstop debate. That shit's boring. (bored and snobbish tone)
Monophanie is easily the kindest of the Monokubs and is the group's only female member. She is repulsed by gore and violence and would rather the killing game be something more pleasant.
It's rude to scream at the sight of cute little bears like us. (annoyed tone)
Are you sure it's okay to give them a hint so soon...? It's like rewarding a baby with milk when it's been up all night crying! (uncertain tone)
Meanwhile, your remaining time is slowly but surely dwindling! (singsongy, mocking tone)
Monokid is the most sadistic of the Monokubs and is predisposed to violent outbursts, typically to his sibling, Monodam. He yells a lot (read: all the time), so be prepared for that with your voice and your mic as well. For Monokid, we are looking for anything in the deep to medium range. Also, we'd like it if your voice was a bit gruff as well.
I'm pissed! I gotta cool off by beatin' the shit outta Monodam! (excited and frustrated)
