Danganronpa: Records of Despair (Second Call)
Project Overview
This is a second Casting Call I'm running for my fanmade Danganronpa project, Records of Despair! These are the remaining characters I need actors for!
Records of Despair is a killing game that's a sequel to a previous fangan, Curtains Closed. It includes fantasy elements, among the typical characteristics of a Danganronpa-inspired story. The characters in this Casting Call are side characters that will need voices in the future.

Shinobu is an experienced lawyer and a survivor of a former killing game. She’s an advocate for other tragic events, aiming to protect and defend victims. She’s kindhearted and a hard worker. She often always sounds tired or serious.
Lines
“Not at all. I’m grateful for you and your team’s help.”
(Confused) “I’m not sure why you expected to catch someone while yelling like that.”
(Stressed, then tired) “I believe they are… which is why I’m concerned they’d know of such a thing… Still, I know I won’t find anything of importance…”

Jisho is charismatic and confident, speaking her mind and striving to connect with others. She’s a survivor of a past killing game, but prefers to stay silent and ignore the experience she went through.
Lines
(Startled) “YES??? I DON’T THINK PEOPLE USE THEIR KIDS FOR TARGET PRACTICE UNLESS THEY’RE FUCKING INSANE.”
(Slightly frustrated) “Late afternoon, I know. You’ve been sleeping every time I try to get to you! Well, not every time, but you get what I mean.”
“Hey! Rude! I don’t do that! Looks are great and all. I just pay attention, because it’s literally the first thing you notice in a person! I agree, personality is definitely important. I’m not gonna date an asshole all because they’re hot! That’s just so annoying! Like, have you seen the movies? I want to drown myself in the popcorn butter every time I see another girl go after an absolute fuckwad!”

Quiet, low range
Fidi is a nun for the Hyacinth Church and works closely with the doctor Celeste. They’re soft spoken and speak slowly, barely raising their voice. They are a gentle person, but easily frightened.
Lines
“Celeste… tells me about… the odd cases in the… hospital. He told me about… you… and your condition. … I wanted to meet you… and better understand it…”
(Hesitant) “A-Anyways… Will you trust me to help you…?”
(Sad) “I know many things… and I’ve seen many horrible events… I know what dishonesty can do.”

Ultimate Marionette
Kara is a young girl who is unaware of the dangerous situation she’s in. She loves and cares about her father, but has little understanding of him. She approaches everything with a sense of optimism and curiosity.
Lines
“So I am sick! Is Papa here? Did he bring me here?”
(Thinking, slightly excited) “Well, Papa has assistants like the red lady and the blue man that help him with his work… Papa gets really excited sometimes over them and his work. His eyes get really wide and he has a big smile.”
“I don’t know! You just talk about things in a cryptic way like Dr. Celeste does!”

Roz is a relaxed and friendly girl. She often cracks jokes, but she understands when to be serious. She’s supportive and protective of her friends.
Lines
“Yeah. He talks loads of no-good, but he can never back it up. Like— He said I was stupid and lazy. That I wouldn’t have a future, right? And you guess what? I got a higher score than him by a point. He got so ticked off, he sent his little cult after me. I… still got beat up though. No way I can take a one-versus-hundred million fight.”
(Happy) “I am the captain of this ship and you’re now on board! Welcome!”
(Scary) “Mene. Word to the wise: Nisha is a lot more scary than Azia. Yeah! She grows horns and claws… Her eyes become pitch black like the void… She grows to the size of the school… And… She eats the soul of anyone who has a grade lower than a 95…”

Emile is emotional and fragile, but he is capable of being strong. He holds grudges often and rarely gets outside his comfort zone. He has a great love for animals and grew up taking care of them.
Lines
(Dread at the pause) “Okay, sent— … Oh my god. Roz. We made a horrible mistake.”
(Gentle) “Well, you’re doing great and I’m really proud of how far you’ve come.”
(Broken, he’s injured when saying this) “What are you solving by beating him until he’s unconscious…? When he’s awake, he’s just going to continue… or get worse.”

Monisha is strong and intimidating to many. She’s passionate and ambitious, putting her work above everything else. She has a few friends that she does care to give attention to, however she’s too bitter to outright express it.

“All my classes are advanced, Mene. I can’t afford to take a little break.”
(Surprised, slightly impressed) “… And here I thought you’d end up kissing Azia’s shoe for a job.”
(Absolutely pissed off) “You don’t deserve those grades or clothes or money or anything! You’re going to end up as someone begging on the side of the street! We all know what you’re doing so just fuck off and die already!”

Genovese is quick-witted and stubborn. As the daughter of a mafia family, she’s used to being given attention and protection. She’s curious, but doesn’t express it frequently.

(Confused) “How is that even important? Daddy would say your input is meaningless and you should get shot.”
(Happy) “Thanks! Pop Pop did my hair today before he went to work!”

Ny is a commander within the military, alongside his brother. He’s quiet, but not afraid. He often assumes a leadership role and sees things very logically.

“Good morning. It’s a pleasure to have you. I trust you are prepared for the meeting?”
(Awkward, embarrassed) “My apologies for being here later than usual.”
(Serious) “There is no need to use such foul language. Your opinion is your own, but I fail to understand how it would contribute or help the people. Could you compromise?”

Mi is a commander within the military, alongside his brother. He’s friendly and enjoys conversation, and he often tries to make jokes to help people feel more comfortable. He is capable of being strict.

“Hey, Omega! Why did the old man fall into a well?”
(Excited) “I heard about that! Oh, how was the wedding? Wait– They didn’t have one, my bad! I wish they did though… I’d love to be there and see them with their suits! I’m sure the rings are stunning!”
(Threatening) “You’re lucky we’re in a professional setting. You wouldn’t have made it past the first sentence.”

Mia is passionate and casual, going by her own agenda in comparison to following and listening to others. She cares deeply for those close to her, but typically doesn’t express it in an understandable way.

(Soothing) “Why, it’s wonderful to see you again! I thought I wouldn’t be able to live another day without seeing your lovely face~”
(Enraged) “You fucking prick! Are you forgetting who you’re talking to?!”
(Shocked, upset) “What…? W-Wait, surely not. I haven’t gotten messages from her in a while, but it can’t be that.”

Acantha is sophisticated and clever. She’s goal focused, her current passion being geared towards diversity and science. She’s polite and respectful, keeping to herself.
She relatively remains emotionless in her speech, but her tone slightly changes depending on the emotional context.

“Good to see you as well. Have you heard from Cicero? He was meant to send you letters about our business, but he hasn’t told me if he did it or not.”
(Disappointed) “Shame on you. To think you succeed me in terms of status, yet your intelligence fails to match your power.”
(Pleased) “I saw them while I was in the fourth ring. It has a salty aftertaste, but you do enjoy spice, if I remember correctly. Do you like them?”

Psy is often amused and a natural genius. He arrived to power early, but prefers to take a backseat when it comes to leading others. He’s a doctor, so worries often when helping people.

(Concerned) “How is that gash treating you? It was a nasty one.”
(Friendly, gay) “Ahaha, good one! You never fail to put a smile on my face, Uli. Thank you, I needed that.”
(Shittalking someone under your breath) “As if that’s even a slightly good idea.”

Racc is bitter and stubborn, refusing to cooperate or work with others. They have a few exceptions to this, though, if there are people in their life that are welcoming to their competitive nature.
They have a scratchy/raspy voice.

(Angry) “Hey, Omega! About time!”
(Confused, stiff) “What do you even get out of that? Let the kids figure it out.”
(Proud) “Almost there! Maybe one day you can be a good match for me! For now, keep at it! You’re doing great so far.”

Jubilee has existed for centuries, and so they’ve seen several things. She is somewhat warped in his thinking, but makes an active effort to remain respectful towards others.
He has a gentle voice at all times, even if he’s saying you’re a dumbass.

(Sad) “Ah, is that what happened? I could barely tell.”
(Determined) “Very well. Those individuals should not be trapped any longer than they have been already.”
(Sarcasm) “A miracle you managed to retain little information within a quarter hour small-talk exchange.”

Etsumi is friendly and light-hearted. She performs as an idol and frequently behaves in a childlike manner. She’s emotional and dramatic.
Etsumi is a magical girl. Soot is the real person's identity, so the same person will be in both roles.
Lines
(Happy) “So, so good to see you! Hehe! Did you get taller? Oh, goodness me, make sure to fix your hair next time you see a mirror, Mr. Governor!”
(Upset) “You’re so mean! That’s not a nice thing to say…”
(Thinking) “I don’t know… Have you tried turning it on and off again?”

Ultimate Artist
Soot is professional, always emphasizing business and work above anything. She’s a burnt out gifted kid, if that helps. She’s always tired, but pushes herself regardless.
Soot is the real person’s identity behind Etsumi. The same person will play the two of them.
Lines
(Annoyed, then confused) “Sorry, kid. I can’t help. Just go back wherever you— … Where did you come from?”
(Tired) “I don’t feel like dealing with paparazzi right now, so no Etsumi.”
(Worried) “Hey, kid. You’ll be okay. I’m just getting you to someone who will take better care of you. You have a safer bet finding your dad with him.”

Gizmo is brash and ambitious, being quick to set herself to anything she thinks of. She’s desperate to prove herself to others. She’s energetic, though her intelligence fails to shine through often.

(Frustrated) “Why not? You’re forgetting it was my district I destroyed— Not yours! The problem is in your place, not mine!”
(Trying to calm down) “Sorry. Sorry, Neutro. I just… They don’t do anything. I want to.”
(Overjoyed) “There you go! One ticket to freedom, come on!”

Ultimate Knight
Neutro is empathetic, caring and worrying often over others, especially Gizmo. He works closely with her and has a soft spot for them. He’s emotional and gets passionate very easily if someone or something he likes is threatened.
He speaks softly.

(Soft, worrying) “You’re alright. Just don’t get too mad at them, okay…? It’s not their fault.”
(Threatening) “Don’t even think about it.”
(Embarrassed) “O-Oh, thanks! Uh, it was nothing! Ahaha…”

Nico portrays herself as confident and approachable, however her humbleness frequently exhibits an ego instead. She doesn’t take people seriously often, treating them like they’re stupid.

Halim is kind-hearted, enjoying helping others and listening. He can be a bit slow on certain things, though he’s willing to try or learn anything. He’s a bit spiteful, but pushes it down.

(Soft, hesitant) “I can’t speak much for myself or Nico, but I can assure you you’re safe… It’s just up to you to believe it.”
