Project Overview

Danganronpa : Program Viridian is an up-coming nonprofit YouTube video series based on and inspired by Spike Chunsofts, Danganronpa, trilogy.

Between the A and B plot, the main cast consists of 16 or more adult characters navigating the killing game environment they have been thrust into. The protagonist, Anastasia Octavius, is a sassy, blunt person who perhaps spends a little too much of their time scrolling the internet, and the Self-Proclaimed Ultimate Author.

As we get farther into the development of the project, we are looking for more people help us develop the project as a whole.

We prohibit the use of AI generated art or writing in your applications, as neither of the directors support the use of AI. We ask that you use Discord, since that is where the development team communicates and functions. In your application include your Discord username, preferred pronouns and preferred name. If you are let onto the team, do not spoil any of the project or it will result in you being kicked off. Thank you!

A Writer is a role that has a very hands on position in the development of the plot and story. While the big details of the plot have been laid out, we are looking for someone to fill in the gaps, and help with finalizing and writing scripts for episodes. Writers will be asked to:

  1. Brainstorm plot elements and progression of characters over the course of the story.
  2. Be unafraid to suggest new avenues and ideas for characters, arcs, cases, and scenes.
  3. Collaborate with other writers while writing to create believable consistent characters, and a compelling story.
We would like you to share a piece of writing that you are proud of. Make sure that it is appropriately tagged with trigger warnings, and that it properly showcases your unique skillset. Keep in mind that this role is not limited to one person. It is very likely multiple people will be selected, but also just as likely that only one will be based on the number of submissions.

The main thing we are looking for in a sprite artist is someone who is able to comfortably draw line art for sprites, and potentially help color them in. We are searching for someone with good use of line weight that helps paint the character clearly, and that will suggest any changes that may need to be made to an existing design. Sprite Artists will be asked to:

  1. Use line weight to create dynamic sprites that convey characters emotions effectively while being readable.
  2.  Be unafraid to suggest new avenues and ideas for sprites.
  3. Work and collaborate with other artists, on sprites.
  4. (Optionally) Make good use of color, that works with the lines of a sprite to create depth and strong shadows.
    We would like you to share a portfolio that you are proud of. Make sure that the works you submit are appropriate, and that it properly showcases your unique skillset. Keep in mind that this role is not limited to one person. It is very likely multiple people will be selected, but also just as likely that only one will be based on the number of submissions.
