What is Danganronpa: Drama Club?
Danganronpa: Drama Club is a Fanganronpa series featuring some fan favorite characters from world renowned musicals. From Heathers to Beetlejuice and everything in between, DR: DC features a full cast of fun and dynamic characters. Some are minor characters in their original text, but have the chance to come alive in DR:DC. To make the characters pop even more, I need your help! I'd like for this project to be partially voice acted in a similar fashion to the original games.
Will I be paid?
This is a fan project with no intention of making money, so this is listed as a no pay job, but if there is any money made from the project in any way (ie: YouTube ad revenue or through a 'donation pool' that will be linked below every video through a site like Ko-Fi or Patreon), all voice actors will be entitled to 4% per role that they play. If you end up getting two roles, then you'd be able to collect 8% of any money that is earned from the series, and so on! I want to keep it fair because while I'll be doing all of the art, writing, video editing, and social media posts, I don't want to be the only one that gets anything because the voices really make the whole thing come together!
How do I know what I'll be paid?
There will be some sort of group chat (likely via Discord) that I will post monthly screenshots of any source of income so its 100% transparent how much (if anything) was made. Then I will PayPal every actor their portion of that. Honestly, it may be pennies, or it may be nothing at all, but I just want everyone to have an equal share of whatever comes out of the project! It is also something to note, you will be paid for the entire life of the project. Even if your character is the first to die! You might have a lot less lines than others, but you have no way of knowing when you auditioned who was going to live or die, so to me its easier if everyone makes the same amount the whole time!

Also, please know that I'm a college student, so I am an adult. There will likely be other adults working on the project. For this reason, and the fact that Danganronpa is a mature game, no one under 16 may apply. If you do, you will be automatically rejected. Sorry!
What's the catch?
Well, like I said previously, if the project doesn't make any money (which is highly probable!), then neither will you. Also, if you cause any issues in group chats or behave in any offensive way, I will first have a talk with you, but if things continue, I will remove you from the project. Your voice will no longer be used and you won't receive any more profits.
How does the voice acting work?
I will write the project chapter by chapter, and will send you all of your lines for the chapter. I may or may not include other characters lines that surround yours so you have more context, I'm unsure at this point. I want everyone to enjoy the surprises of the game, even those that are in it!

Because of this, I know some people may eventually fall off of the project. If you do, I will remove you from the groups and payroll and find another person. I hope I don't need to do this though!
Okay, okay, enough about money. Tell me about the actual game!
So DR:DC will never actually be coded as a game. (Maybe in the far off future, but I don't currently have intentions of doing that!) What it will be however is a "series". Basically I will edit videos of the menus, characters, and dialogue, and it will make it look like a playthrough of the game. This is the way a lot of fanganronpa creators have formatted theirs, and I think its the best for me. I'm a design student, not a computer science student. So video editing comes a lot more naturally for me. The "series" will be available for free on YouTube, and as soon as I am able to, advertising will be enabled on the videos so hopefully there's a tiny stream of revenue.
When do you plan to post the series videos?
I will have to figure out what pacing I can handle, but I'm hoping to post a video a week. These videos will obviously not be an entire chapter. It will likely be about 15 minutes of "gameplay". I will start posting likely about two weeks or so after the auditions end, so I can get all of my ducks in a row before starting!
What makes this fanganronpa special?
Well, like I said before, I'm basing all of the characters off of characters from musicals! So while the mannerisms, aesthetic, and talents are derived from the original character, because they're being put in this new setting, everything that happens is a surprise! Even to fans of the original game and all of the musicals!
Why do you have so many characters?
Over on TikTok, I got a good following on this series and opened two character slots up for audience voting. They ended up choosing Lydia Deets and Beetlejuice, so I added them to the cast, making it 18 instead of 16 like normal. This may mean I have to have a couple multi murders, but I'll make it work so that its still paced well! I also thought that since its a club instead of a class, having a different number of students wouldn't be as odd!
Rules for applying?

2.) Apply for as many characters as you want!

4.) Please also make sure you leave me your social media, discord, and another way to contact you since the site isn't always reliable for messaging. All applicants, whether they get the role or not will be invited to the discord. The general chat will be open to anyone who wants to follow the production of the game. If you get the role, you'll be added to a private chat just for VAs!
