Danganronpa | Cygnus Escape

Project Overview

DR Cygnus Escape is a non-profit brand-new Fan project run by Guda. It is based on the main themes of a school-based killing game like the canon Danganronpa while introducing new themes of its own. DR:CE introduces a colorful set of characters and brand-new settings and locations. DR:CE will be made in the form of a video series and will be showcased on YouTube.


"Natsuba Academy! Welcome, we hope you enjoy your stay. Here we accommodate our students to get the best learning experience for an Ultimate. Of course, you are a V.I.P, you're an ultimate after all! That itself is an accomplishment. As an ultimate, we will push you to the max to ensure that you succeed. Now we aren't just any school, after all the amounts of previous failed attempts of ultimate schools are just disappointing. We promise you will be safe at this school; we will make sure of it."


Kosuke Nakamura, a star student at Eden’s Latin School, is a student in his high school days, with exceptional talent he is invited to spend his last year of school in the newly furnished Natsuba Academy. A Brand new ultimate high school Natsuba Academy where people strive to become ultimates.


Sayuri woke up in the nurse's office with a sharp pain in her head, she looked out the window to find only sand dunes outside, as she got up to investigate, she eventually left the room. She turned back to see a door at where the entrance would normally be. She sees a busted version of her school as she walks to the door, the door has a small black screen in the middle of it. When she gets to the door, she fidgets around with it in desperation to get out. She walks up to the door and kicks it; the screen of the door turns to a blue screen stating that this is a Danganronpa Game and that she and 16 other students need to escape. A counter pops up on the side of the screen, it shows 16/16.


Disclaimers!


To meet the requirements, you will have to have good microphone quality with little to no background noise. This will be a dialogue-heavy project and especially in the beginning stages of development so we will need you to be on time with your submissions, we will have due dates for all of them. This is also a Danganronpa fan project which includes blood, death, and other sensitive topics so we recommend you to be at least 16+ to audition. We also understand that sometimes you are forced to drop out and we perfectly understand that. However please tell us if you aren't fit for the job we completely understand.

  • Submission Deadline

    Hello everyone,

    I wanted to clarify that while the current audition closing date is what’s displayed on Casting Call Club, this was not the originally intended duration. Due to a glitch on the site, this project listing has only been active for about 5 weeks rather than the full 12 weeks that come with a Premium listing.

    Rest assured, shortlisting will continue up until auditions close, and I appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we work around this issue. The new deadline for submissions is September 6th 2025.

Sayuri exists in that place between friend and stranger, never showing too much, and always observing.


Sayuri grew up in a family full of secrets and lies. Because her parents were estranged and frequently absent, she was left to fend for herself. As a result, she developed a strong sense of independence and an insatiable desire to learn the truth. As a result of her quest for the truth, she discovered that people were not always what they seemed to be and frequently had hidden intentions. As a result of this realization, she became skeptical and wary, always keeping people at a distance.

Saeki talks playfully and with fondness, her voice as smooth as the music she loves. She is never far from praise for others and finds beauty in odd corners, often jumping from one idea to another mid-sentence. Her scatterbrained nature is part of what makes her so endearing, yet when the situation shifts, she becomes abruptly precise and strict. Her music is her lifeline, and in it, she interprets both her restlessness and calmness.

Saeki grew up in a community where everyone knew each other. She was known for being very outgoing, yet she struggled to focus, often being distracted by random thoughts. Despite this, she succeeded intellectually, and her peers liked her.  She grew to enjoy the musical arts and making others feel joy, she took a particular liking to the piano. Even if she is occasionally careless, she always makes an effort to compensate by supporting others and ensuring that everyone's voice is heard.


Saeki should have a voice that is somewhat high pitched and dreamy voice.

Kazuya conceals his thinking behind his respectful smile. His courteous speech habits and refusal to utter something—the latter observable even when attacked or ambushed—mirror having grown up where fronts mattered more than everything. Apologies come naturally to him, even when he isn't at fault, and he'd rather just not fight so that he can keep the tenuous peace he's managed to establish around himself. Behind the passive exterior is an individual attempting to be honest, even though he hasn't yet figured out how to be honest with himself.


Kazuya was raised in a high-profile home with parents who were often in the spotlight. He was instructed from a young age to maintain a polished image and was frequently scrutinized. Despite his achievements, he battled anxiety and the worry of being discovered as a fraud. Despite his fabricated identity, he yearned for genuine connections and relationships, but his upbringing and public reputation made it difficult for him to establish them.

Caught yawning mid-sentence not infrequently, Felix seems aloof, preferring peace to melodrama and rarely getting drawn into arguments he deems unnecessary. His objective personality creates a strange blend of fairness and remoteness so that he is hard to read even when he is showing a real interest.


Felix exhibits refinement and class in all facets of his life, giving him the title of "the prince." His elegant and charming persona is enough to make anybody swoon, but he maintains objectivity in his relationships with others. He tries to be impartial in any confrontation, rejecting what he sees as trivial rivalries and conflicts. His elegance, however, is usually eclipsed by his persistent tiredness, as his hectic schedule finds him regularly yawning and sleeping off.


Felix has a deeper voice, more energetic and prouder as he talks occasionally getting exhausted.

Oson, raised in a home where winning was the expectation, internalized the pressure to excel in all areas. But when her ideals are challenged, the tone stiffens—revealing the fire inside. She's an excellent inspiration as a leader, but there are cracks. Behind the good words is a girl trying to convince herself as much as anyone else that everything will be okay.
