Danganronpa: Cosmic Doubt
Project Overview
Cosmic Doubt is an upcoming fangan video series taking place in a space resort in the year 2500, and each character comes from a different planet. The story follows Pollus, a studious and optimistic xenologist from the planet Geron. He and other teenagers of exceptional talent across the galaxy were invited to stay at a space resort for a couple weeks, in celebration of their feats. Just when they think they are going to have the time of their life, the drone in charge of the resort hijacks it and traps everyone inside. Now forced to participate in a killing game, what will happen to these beacons of hope?
What we are mainly looking for this project are voice actors. The qualities I seek in the people that audition are ones that are responsive and won't ghost the team after joining the project, have good microphones, and are enjoyable to work with. Although production on the project fluctuates due to how busy life can get for all of us, I want the voice actors to be fully prepared to fulfill their role when I ask for their availability.
The deadline for auditions is February 1st, 2022. There may be extensions if certain characters do not receive enough auditions in time.
Something to keep in mind is that because every character comes from a different planet, their accents can be completely unique. So it doesn't matter what your accent is going into auditions or if you want to put on a particular accent while auditioning. As long as it vibes with the character, it should be fine (however, a few roles may have required accents).
Also, please remember that this is an unpaid project.
One more thing, for those wondering why CL41R1 is not on the audition page, it's because she is mute.

As you can see, it is past midnight, meaning that auditions have officially closed for Cosmic Doubt. Thank you everyone who have submitted. I never expected we would exceed 100 auditions, but we are living in this timeline, and I can't thank you all enough for being willing to help out so this project can be something special! Judging period will begin now, and not only will we be deciding on the people that become the official voices for the cast, but also understudies in case a voice actor has to quit the project. So if you are chosen as an understudy, I would recommend staying in touch in case that rare chance ever opens up for you We will publicly announce the voice actors whenever we are ready. When the voice actors and understudies are notified that they are a part of the project, please don't reveal this information when you receive it. Pollus is an entheusiastic boy from the planet Geron. Due to the strict visiting policies of the planet, he hasn't had many chances to venture out, so he's always fantasized about leaving and learning about the life on other planets.
This dream inspired him to research the histories and cultures of other aliens, writing a multitude of papers and articles on them.
A good-natured and optimistic bookworm, Pollus is highly knowledgable of other cultures and is respectful towards people from other planets. However, he'd prefer to sit down and get sucked into a great book rather than make meaningful connections.

Kallika revolutionized the technology of her planet Fanterran with her multitude of inventions. Before her machines were recognized by the Kingdom of Fanterra, the planet's technology was more akin to that of Earth's medieval period.
Although not as technologically advanced as the tech on other planets, her variety of trinkets and helper robot models have benefitted her planet greatly.
Kallika herself is an excitable ball of quirky energy, fascinated by anything tech. She's more used to socializing with her many robotic pets, so interacting with other people is challenging.

- She is a fast-talker when speaking about topics she is passionate about.
- She generally speaks really boldly, but has a quieter tone when saddened or nervous.

The planet Thalyama is not only known for its advanced technology and meltingpot of alien races, but also its corrupt authority and incessant crimes. The planet needs someone to right the wrongs of its society, and Fal is the one to take the mantle.
With her high tech cybernetic arm and the help of her blade-wielding sister, the two have been getting rid of criminals for years. Since they usually dispose reprehensible people in nasty ways, the Thalyam law is always after them. Although an outlaw on her planet, the Organization of Hopeful Youth agreed with her cause and sought to protect her by inviting her to Panderaxia.
Fal is generally serious and moody, not taking jokes well and finds most fun activities childish. She may be distrusting of others, but she tries taking the leadership position in any given situation.
- Fal is quite angsty, always seeming serious and on the verge of punching someone in the jaw.
- She mostly expresses mild annoyance, but can get really intense when she is furious.
- When in a good mood, she sounds mellower than usual.
(Serious) I’m Fal Arque. My planet is crawling with criminals, so I took it upon myself to become the vigilante of Thalyama. But now that my arm’s gadgets and weapons are disabled, I’m at a disadvantage while I’m here.

- Anyone of any gender can audition for Kris, but their voice leans on the more masculine end with a feminine tone.

Lopi herself is a spunky and thrill-seeking daredevil. Competitive in nature, she sometimes boasts and can act rashly and immaturely.
- Lopi has a spunky, adventurous, and free spirited tone; very tomboyish.
- She can sometimes sound full of herself and can get pretty heated when angered.
- When she is sad or scared, she tries to not show it much, but doesn't do a great job at hiding it.

Every thousand years on the living planet Blern, an eighteen year-old is chosen by the planet to be sent on a dangerous quest to retrieve the fabled Zetmos fruit. After coming back, they feed it to the planet to keep him alive.
The cycle has returned and the one chosen to be Blern's Zetmos Rover is Ix, who is incompetent at everything.
He thinks highly of himself and tells complex stories of his feats he never performed. He sees the world differently than most, viewing futuristic objects and places as poor and ugly; and seeing simple trash on the street as a treasure.
- Ix speaks like someone from the olden times.
- He has a bit of an over-the-top Skeletor/Papyrus-like accent, often rolling his R's.
- He sounds really pompous and courageous like a goofy knight.
(Prideful and bombastic) I am the grand and mighty Zetmos Rover of this millenium, Ix Chakah! Clap for me, I say!

Kenope is a planet that is divided by its warring sides: its technologically advanced half and its less tech oriented side.
Vaal remains on the latter side, working as a shepherd for baaleo, sheep-lion-like creatures native to the planet. He treats all his baaleo with care, often selling their golden mane to fashion industries from other planets.
Vaal is a down to earth and kindhearted pacifist, with a southern drawl. However, he's no pushover, as he will defend the things he cares for, occasionally contradicting his peaceful beliefs.
- Vaal is the only other character with a required accent: southern.
- He usually sounds really chill and friendly.
- He doesn't raise his voice often, usually sounding foreboding and menacing when maddened.
(Relaxed) I reckon I should make it known that I’m Vaal Chevel, the best baaleo shepherd there is. If you're lookin’ for some golden mane for your spangly outfit, I’m the guy to call.

Geph was once a prospering planet… until it was destroyed by one of its inhabitants. He has blown up a multitude of planets and is constantly being chased by space police. They always fail due to his massive robot army at his disposal and his slippery escape tactics.
Ra'mir himself is overdramatic, charismatic, and maniacal. He relishes in being bad and takes pleasure in annoying others.
Ra'mir is the only person in this group who hasn't been invited to join Panderaxia. He located the base and forced the staff to let him join, unaware this would be a huge mistake…
- Be prepared for vulgar language and shifts in tone and talking speed.
- Ra'mir talks like an over-the-top and flamboyant supervillain.
- He generally sounds really playful and has a very wide range.
- But when he needs to strike fear others, he can sound downright sinister.

Malaja is the princess of the Oozari Kingdom on the planet Sohir.
She has a serious passion for collecting gems across the galaxy. She sends servants to retrieve every kind of stone from each planet, as she isn't permitted to leave the castle. Although she doesn't have every gem that exists yet, she gets closer every week.
Despite being a princess, Malaja is really unconfident and can be a doormat at times. She's very shy around others and tries to not bring attention to herself. However, it's difficult to do so when she leaves a slippery slime trail wherever she goes.
- Malaja is a soft spoken and slow speaker.
- She talks with a high pitch and a shy and unconfident tone.
- She can also become anxious and flustered easily.
(Shy) I’m, um, Malaja Periave… I know I’m a princess, but I was recognized for my skills as a gem collector. So… I’d, um, prefer that you just treat me like anyone else.

Qorus comes from Chiri, a planet known for its numerous scientific breakthroughs. One of them is digitization, which is the closest thing the intergalactic scientific community has come to achieving immortality.
Reserved for dying patients, a digitizer interviews them many times and learns everything about them. When ready, the digitizer creates a simulated virtual world based off of what the patient wants and an extremely accurate representation of them. Once the patient is digitized, they basically live in their personalized heaven.
Qorus is the youngest and one of the most highly acclaimed digitizers on the planet with a perfect success rate. He's a levelheaded and empathetic person who can be a little philosophical at times.
- Spoken like aa true intellectual, Qorus is aa calm and eloquent talker.
- He does not seriously emote most of the time, but he generally expresses his emotions in small doses
(Hospitable) Ah, where are my manners? Please, call me Qorus, Qorus Phenozaid. On my planet, I’m the youngest and most skilled digitizer.
(Thinking) If this facility contained the right technology, perhaps I could send people to personalized digital heavens if anyone were to perish. Then again, I would still need a month of preparation for that… Ah, forgive me for thinking so far ahead.

She's a bubbly and cheerful girl who just wants to have a good time. Despite being a star, she is generous and has a heart of gold.
- Zurella's voice is upbeat and somewhat ditzy
- She is friendly, kind, and up to date with the latest trends, but usually does not come across as obnoxious.
- However, she can get pretty emotional when the situation is dire.

Thresh, a Corion, fights for his people as a naval commander. He'd led many submarine fights and always comes on top.
With his booming voice and intimidating nature, he tries to encourage others in any way he can. He can be harsh, but ultimately wants to see others improve and grow stronger. Since he can only breathe underwater, when going on land he has to wear an armored suit full of water wherever he goes.
- Thresh speaks like an intense drill sergeant.
- He is a loud and fast talker, having an aggressive tone when speaking.
- He is quick to anger and generally expresses kindness through tough love.
- When he's in an especially good mood, he tends to sound macho.
- A filter will be added to your voice to make it sound like your voice is coming through a speaker.
(Loud) THAT’S RIGHT! As the Corion Military’s leading naval commander, I’ve gotten my boys through the toughest of fights. My enemies fear me and my comrades admire me, I am THRESH ATLEM!!!

While she may be prim and proper, she is also caring and polite. It's aa shock that someone so seemingly high class and fanciful has always lived in a natural district.
- Aest sounds like a typical fancy and proper high class lady, one that is especially sociable and chatty.
- However, she hardly ever comes across as snobby or manipulative.
- Maybe gossipy or easily repulsed here and there, but she has a good heart.
(Proper) Oh, of course, darling! I am Xelumura’s most distinguished dreamclash composer, Aest Pyrabae.
(Curious) Why, I’ve never seen anything like that before. Do tell, darling, do you know anything about this?

Dr. O is eccentric and awkward, generally speaking with few words. He rarely emotes, but always seems to want to help others.
- Dr. O is completely monotone, regardless of the situation.
- He has a neutral tone and has a choppy speech pattern, often spacing his words.
- He has very little range, which can come across as comedic depending on the situation.
(Monotone) I’m Dr. O.

Grafid comes from the militaristic planet Bithwei, sporting cutting edge tech and beautiful dark cities. Bithweian bodies are completely composed of light particles. It gives them special powers and provides a unique way for them to reproduce via cloning, which is why all bithwei are the same gender: pylale (pronouns are py, pyl, pyls).
Grafid works for the military as a cipher. Py is known for making up languages as a hobby, py was recruited after py accidentally cracked a military code.
Grafid is highly critical of others and has a sassy attitude. Py also has a serious nerdy side and sometimes lets pyls hobbies slip through.
- Grafid has a sassy and cheeky diva-like voice, constasting pyl nerdy nature.
- Py can be brutally honest and rude to others without expressing much empathy.
- Py can generally come across as smug and audacious, but gets mad if pushed to pyl limits.
- Anyone of any gender can voice Grafid, but pyls voice is more feminine leaning like a valley girl, but with a more masculine depth.
(Bold) I’m Grafid Nilmark, but you can call me the CEO of having a better military than yours. After all, I’m a cipher for the Zeit military branch on Bithwei.
(Sassy) Have I ever told you that you’re more disappointing than the feeling of buying an expensive game, and realizing your PC can't run it?

The mascot, Pandora, is an emotionless supercomputer drone. She acts based off of her programming, which is to ensure the Ultimates stay in the resort forever and facilitate investigations and trials that may occur.
- Sometimes she can come across as an AI that struggles to process social cues and is interested in learning, while other times she appears cold, thorough, and heartless, simply performing her duties.
- As a basic AI, she does not express emotions most of the time. Her voice is kind of like GLaDOS' in this way
- Her voice may have some vocal inflections here and there, but she never really expresses any specific emotions besides her usual neutral tone.
(Calm) Greetings, residents. I am core unit #1342845, but you can call me Pandora. I will be your aid throughout this ship. Please, make your way inside.
(Calm) I can repeat myself if you would like. I said 'the only way to leave this resort is to kill one of your fellow peers.' Does that suffice for you?
